Aigbofa:You take one instance and then multiply it. Are you trying to tell me Yorubas are not capable of great evil? I think we all know the answer to that and the stories. Have you seen Igbos butchering innocent women and children? NO. But we do find that in the North amongst the Hausa. Igbos are not the evil ones in Nigeria. The people who maim innocent people are. Kidnapping is evil, but most of the time, the people are reunited with their families. NOW TRY AGAIN. |
Aigbofa:Isn't this how the world works? Let me tell you something as a fellow African, in this world, we know who are on top. It is the Europeans who make the rules and we have to play by their rules. That is why we have to beat them at their own game. Igbos have realized this a long time ago. That is why we don't care who the people we are up against. It is either you be a lion or you be a sheep. It is your destiny to choose. However, Yorubas have a trait that can be very useful to you all that we Igbos seem to be lacking. You all have no qualms looking out for your own interest by "BYZANTINE" means. If you know what I mean by "Byzantine" then you will understand the point that I am trying to make. |
The fact remains is why are my people leaving our homeland? Is the economic climate that depressed. Instead of going to the UK, come to the United States. Come to places like Texas, Maryland and Illinois. My duty is to bring more Igbo families into the United States. I want us to have a foothold in this country and GROW. |
![]() You people blame Igbos for every social ill in this country, but you all need us if you like it or not. We are the life blood of Nigeria. And if the Igbo left, the SW and other regions economic interest would dry up. Lets keep this in perspective, who controls the informal economy? It is the Igbo. The main economy is over reliant on oil, which by the way does not belong to any of you all crying. And if the Igbo go, the Niger Delta would leave as well. They may not join us, but they definitely will not stay in Nigeria. Now take that food for though. |
Ileke-IdI:I beg to differ. If you compare Igbo cities with Yoruba cities, we all know who are CLEANER. Enugu, Owerri, Umuahia etc. Compare to Ibadan, Ogbomosho, Ado-Ekiti etc. Igbo cities are far cleaner. We try to teach the Yoruba people about cleanliness. ![]() |
Igbos dominate in everything we pursue. It can be good and it can be evil. We dominate in sports. We dominate in education. We dominate in cinema. We dominate in drug peddling. The most notorious scammer is an Igbo man. Sorry, but striving to be the best at everything does have its price. You have to take the good, the bad and the ugly. |
Ileke-IdI:That seems to be an American phenomenom, and it not only SOME Igbos who are doing that. There are other instances, in which other Nigerian groups or immigrants in general cannot handle the stresses of coming to the United States. I have seen some studies on that issue. You are getting more tribalistic by the day. Do you need help? |
Aigbofa:I have yet to hear of any armed robberies and the simple loss of life in the SE. Yes, we have our problems, but I fail to see how Igbos are number one in crimes. Do we kill people for no reason? Do we destroy other people's property? The answer is NO. Igbos are just chasing money, by ANY MEANS NECESSARY. |
Ileke-IdI:What about the thousands who get away with it? I am not trying to moralize this, but many have survived to tell the tale. Come to Igboland and see the mansions of these drug peddlers. What does this have to do with "spine?" I say it takes a lot of spine to go to another man's land and peddle such narcotics, even though there is a greater risk of being caught. |
Ileke-IdI:He was born and raised in Lagos, so he hails from Lagos. If you have a problem with that, go jump off a cliff. Just like a Nigerian who was born and raised in Houston, he hails from Houston. You understand that? |
Ileke-IdI:Yes, you are selling it to us for little money. The profits can be made overseas. That is why you find many of our youth traveling to Asia or Europe to sell this product. We all have our vices. Igbos have drugs, Bini people have prostitution, Yorubas have scammers, Hausa have terrorist. We are all one big happy CORRUPT family. |
~Bluetooth:The Indians wont execute him. This is not Singapore. He will probably get a few years in prison if that, then he will be deported back to Nigeria. |
Ileke-IdI:What is wrong with smoking a little Igbo? It never harmed anyone! It actually helps relaxes people. That's why you have people like Bob Marley talking about its medicinal benefits. Keep on growing them while we Igbos pay you in peanuts. And then we make a good profit selling it to others. Nigeria may be the next Colombia. Well never mind. . . I don't want that. Instead of Pablo Escobar, people will be talking about someone named Peter Chukwu. Eze EGO! ![]() |
Alj Uche:If you get your name back, then I should get my first EzeUche moniker. I have stopped mocking people. And now I only participate in debates. I do not insult people or call them outside their names unlike some of you. |
mukina2:Muki dear, do not do it! And can you please give me my name back. I miss my first EzeUche moniker. |
We all know Igbos are part of this illicit trade. No biggie to me. As long as they don't sell in their own communities. Sell it to the Hausa or the Yoruba or any other group and make a nice profit. As the saying goes, NEVER GET HIGH ON YOUR OWN SUPPLY. ![]() |
^^^ You must be talking about Sharpe James. ![]() Well DC is the same way support crooks. Look at the crack head Marion Barry. |
This man has an impressive resume! Yale Law School (J.D.) Oxford University (B.A.) Stanford University (M.A.) Stanford University (B.A.) |
excanny:Exactly! We Igbos should be doing our own parallel census, to get a more accurate number. |
~Bluetooth:It was a Yoruba who created this thread. Yet, you people do not want to listen to the truth. |
aloy/emeka:Abuja? |
buzugee:I do you know one doesn't exist already? ![]() |
I don't know why they are. In the past, especially in Igboland, they were treated like anyone else. Since we have a high prevalence of albinism, it was no big deal for us to deal with our kin who had this trait. |
