IAmStrange:If Nigerian Muslim have their way, they would have erased the name JESUS CHRIST from the quran. |
IAmStrange:Do you also realise dat Isa (JESUS CHRIST ) was mentioned more than prophet Mohammed in the quran? Do u know what dat means? It means JESUS CHRIST is the greatest. |
IAmStrange:Why are you avoiding this. Pls comment. God Sent Other Scriptures Prior to the Qur’an In numerous places the Qur’an testifies that God gave the Jews and the Christians revelations in the past: “He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this, as a guide to mankind” (3:3-4); “Say, ‘We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you’” (29:46; cf. 6:89; 2:136; 5:46-47; 7:157). These Revelations Existed During Muhammad’s Time In other passages the Qur’an is clear that these Scriptures existed during Muhammad’s lifetime: “Say ‘O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord’” (5:68; cf. 4:136; 10:94 3:93; 5:46, 59, 68-69). It would be impossible for Christians and Jews (the People of the Book) to “stand fast” by these revelations unless they were still in their possession at that time. Many ancient copies exist of both the Torah and the Gospel that are dated centuries before Muhammad. These are entirely consistent with the books known in the Bible as the Old and New Testament. |
zeeprince:If the quran believes it then who are u not to believe. Listen to ur Quran and not ur imams. The name Isa (JESUS CHRIST) was mention in the quran more than prophet Mohammed. That should tell u something. |

Dear Muslim friend, do you believe the words and teachings of your holy Qur’an? Or have you unknowingly rejected the testimony of the Qur’an about Jesus (or Isa) and about the prior revelations that God sent to bear witness to him? If you trust the Qur’an and have an open and prayerful heart, you may be surprised at what it says about the prophet Jesus. The Testimony of the Qur’an The Qur’an declares many wonderful things about the prophet Jesus. Three surahs (or chapters) are named after references to him, and he is spoken of in fifteen surahs (ninety-three verses) altogether, more than any other person in the entire Qur’an. The Qur’an teaches that Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead (3:49; 5:113), was born of the virgin Mary (3:45-47; 23:50; 19:16-22), brought the gospel to the Jewish people (3:49-51; 13:38), and was an apostle and prophet of God (3:49; 6:85-90). In the Qur’an, Jesus alone is supported by the Holy Spirit (2:87, 253). Jesus alone is called “the Word of God” (3:45; 4:171) and “the Messiah” (“Christ,” 3:45; 4:157, 172, etc). Yet the Qur’an is not the only testimony to Jesus. Nor is it the primary one. The Qur’an repeatedly states that God sent prior revelations to the Jews and the Christians: The Torah (Taurat), the Psalms (Zabur), and the Gospel (Injil). Have you ever read what these prophetic words say about Jesus? |
Why are some Muslim confused? (The illiterate ones). because the educated ones i have seen are not like this. Read ur quran very well then you will know that Jesus Christ is real and the Greatest. the Quran (the central religious text of Islam) describes Jesus as the Messiah (al-Masih in Arabic), born of a virgin, performing miracles, accompanied by disciples, rejected by the Jewish establishment, and being raised to heaven.[4] The Quran differs in denying Jesus was crucified or died on the cross, and especially in rejecting the divinity of Jesus as God incarnate, or the Son of God.[4][a] The significance of Jesus in Islam is reflected in his being mentioned in the Quran in 93 verses with various titles attached such as "Son of Mary" and other relational terms, mentioned directly and indirectly, over 187 times.[2][6][7][8][8][9] He is thus the most mentioned person in the Quran by reference; 25 times by the name Isa, third-person 48 times, first-person 35 times, and the rest as titles and attributes.[note 1][note 2][10][note 3][11] The Quran and most hadiths (testimonial reports) mention Jesus to have been born a "pure boy" (without sin) to Mary (مريم) as the result of virginal conception, similar to the event of the Annunciation in Christianity.[ |

n’t you just go to the Ahmadu Bello University at Zaria to study any of those preferred disciplines like Medicine, Law, Sociology, etc, it will be good for you that way, you don’t have to waste your precious time and years in Nigerian Defence Academy" he went on. “That school has nothing to offer you, you will undergo serious corporal training and exercise, and whenever you misbehave or when you don’t do what you are meant or told to do, you will be physically punished" “In our family, do you see any Army officers there?” he said further. Anthony was feeling disgruntled about his Dad bringing up the issue again, when he has already decided to join the Nigeria Defence Academy. Anthony’s father continued. “There is nothing good in being a soldier, they kill!” “Soldiers do not kill innocent people or people anyhow, soldiers only kill when they are given the mandate by the law or by the President of the country, and they kill during war times. There are good and bad in this world Dad, as we have bad Policemen, so also we have good Policemen, the same goes for soldiering too.” Anthony said this steadily as if he was conversing with a five year old kid. His Dad smiled. “I know that you are now nineteen years of age and you have the right to make choices on your own. But a word from the wise or elderly one pays off.” Anthony looked at the time, which indicates 8:05am, he was going to be late for his Saxophone class and registration for the Nigerian Defence Academy. “Dad, please, the form for the enrolment into Nigerian Defence Academy is out, and I also have to do other things which are time consuming.” “Alright, I will be quick so that I won’t delay you” His Dad said. “In my dream, I saw a huge figure that wore a mask; the mask was something I have never seen before. He was holding a dagger, on the dagger’s sharp silver part there was red substance or liquid on it, it may be blood, I don’t know for sure. Then I saw a bridge, the figure was trying to cross the bridge.” “Then I looked up towards the end of the bridge. On the other side of the bridge, I saw you, scared, restless, and tired. You were running from the figure.” he said. “That was when I woke up.” His Dad said further. Anthony looked amazed, and said. “A huge figure with a drawn knife in hand?” “Yes” His Dad replied. Since Anthony could not fathom the meaning of the dream, and he knows that his father was finding every reason for him not to join the Nigerian Defence Academy, and he also knows that this is the perfect reason. He said in this head “I have to derail Dad from this, and feed him with the cooked-up interpretation of the dream.” Anthony said. “But Dad, let’s cross-examine this dream again, you said that I was at the other side of the bridge, meaning I was not in his grip. And the blood on the knife was not mine because you didn’t see me get hurt nor did you see blood ooze out of my body. That means am perfectly okay.” He said. “It also means the Lord Jesus is ever faithful and merciful. He granted me victory Dad.” Anthony said further. Anthony’s Dad was wondering how his son was able to crop up an interpretation to his dream in a short time. He said. “How are you sure that that is the perfect interpretation of the dream?” “The dream has already manifested the interpretation itself. Dad, don’t you see? I was not hurt by the figure’s dagger.” It was now 8:20am. Anthony’s Dad tried to disagree more on the topic, but he was cut-short by Anthony. “Dad, why not let us pray about it this minute and leave all to God Almighty, you know the Bible said in the book of Proverbs 3 verse 5, that ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” He said. “If we are trying to apply our wisdom to it, God will not be happy, let’s just lean on God.” He added. Anthony’s father said “Let’s kneel down and pray about it then.” Anthony was so glad that his Dad dropped the matter. Both of them kneeled down together and prayed fervently. Anthony was praying fervently because he was a little bit scared because of the dream. But he held up his composure and prayed that God Almighty should intervene. After the prayer session ended, Anthony’s Dad exited Anthony’s room and went for his room. Anthony heaved out carbondioxide and fell on the bed. The petrifaction of the dream was still rising in him. The morning wind was breezy as if it was going to rain. The coolness of the weather entered into Anthony’s body and settled into it, making his muscle and nervous system settle down. 9:05am nice writeup[/quote] |
