Bleach the palm oil to avoid the oil gumming to your mouth while eating it.

You can decide not to bleach yours, but the result might not be the same.

There's no existing thread on that topic. I also tried to do a Google search but nothing came up except nigerian restaurants and african markets in Tx. You may start a thread about it, who knows, someone could be of help.

Politics / Re: Nairaland Says No To Secessionists by f1dark(f): 7:38pm On Aug 25, 2022
Seun:
Fellow Nairalanders,

Nairaland loves Igbos and Niger Deltans very much. The thought of being separated from them for any reason is unbearable to us, so we have decided that we will reject any attempt by anyone to use Nairaland to promote the idea of removing Igbos and Niger Deltans from Nigeria.

We have updated rule 9 of Nairaland to reflect this decision. It now says:

I'd like to urge all Nairaland members to respect and obey rule 9. Mynd44 is in charge of enforcing it. If you break this rule, you'll be banned.

Thanks,
Seun (Founder Of Nairaland).
Every one must have to follow the rule.
Culture / Re: Complaints And Notice Thread. Be Serious! by f1dark(f): 6:51pm On Aug 24, 2022
Going offtopic is against the rules and might cause the deletion of some of your posts. There are times moderators make mistakes by closing a thread instead of another or by locking and linking a thread to another that has nothing to do with it.

Of course I'll be pleased if you come up to show me where I have made a mistake, but when it's done inside that particular thread it becomes a hot mess. Offtopics can't be tolerated, so I myself must be cautioned.

So if you have complaints about anything you don't find good or you think there are errors that need to be corrected, use this thread to get in touch with me, Otherwise send me an e-mail and I'll fix the problem as soon as I can.

my e-mail is michelin89mod@ymail.com

As the titile suggests a new function has been added to this thread, so for any notice and to legitimate your thread, please post the link here and I'll guarantee for you.
which link I have to post? And I have mailed it to you do reply bme

I have a question regarding Igbo music.

What I've noticed is that in the Highlife era (60s to 80s) Anambra and Delta were the "hotbeds" of music in Igboland. However, nowadays, it seems to have shifted to Imo (Bongo).
Culture / Re: Words From The Epie Language Of Yenagoa. by f1dark(f): 6:50pm On Aug 24, 2022
Thanks for the update.
Sinistami:
This is my Second thread after that pidgin Battle thread that Hit FP. Damn I loved that Thread but this night its not about Pidgin again. Today I'll be trying my Best to save my Maternal Tribe's language called Epie-Attisa. spoken Predominantly in Yenagoa the Capital city of Bayelsa State. And the Fourth major language in Bayelsa After Izon ,Nembe and Ogbia. Epie is an Delta Edoid language normally spoken by The Natives of Yenagoa who have a myth of Migrating from Benin. But that is Changing as most young folks from 30 to 1 year olds can't speak the Language because of the Nativization and Creolization of English and Pidgin especially in the Niger delta. So tonight I'll try my best to preserve this languages by storing its words and Sayings here on Nairaland plus Translations.

In no particular Order.

Politics / Re: Picture Speaks As Governor Udom Emmanuel Is Keeping The Promise by f1dark(f): 4:16pm On Aug 23, 2022
Akwaibomdaily:
The 9.5km Ring Road 3 almost set for commissioning.

It is a proven fact that without good road networks, a country's economy is bound to suffer as distribution and consumption will remain flat even if the population grows. On this note, having access to good road systems and improved infrastructure continues to be a crucial component for any government that wants to ensure the economic success of its citizens.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has kept his word by ensuring that the Ring Road 3 Project, named after the late Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, is set and almost ready for commissioning.

This is part of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the people of Akwa Ibom have access to good roads, as well as leverage on it's existence to build economic success.

The road's completion will allow greater economic activity to flow from the State capital into the Mbak, Mbiabong, and Ifa Atai Etoi communities of the State. Also, the road will connect the Nung Oku axis of Aka Nung Udoe Road with the Nsukara Offot axis of Nwaniba Road.

The Ring road 3 is one of the longest dual carriageways in the metropolis and might be considered a piece of contemporary city furniture. The road has a cutting-edge subsurface drainage system and pedestrian walkways to provide safety and comfort to people traversing the road on a daily basis.

The road is one of the 5 star projects done in fulfilment of the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration and is named the Idongesit Nkanga Avenue, in memory of the first indigenous Military Administrator of Akwa Ibom State.

To further show Governor Udom Emmanuel’s commitment to the Dakkada philosophy, the road was awarded and constructed by an indigenous construction company named Hensek Integrated Services.
