NYSC › Re: Deface Your Uniform And Get Punished - NYSC Warns Corps Members by FabioPeter: 4:03am On Nov 08, 2019 |
Kanade21: Good, I hope you won't mind if when you visit a hospital, the nurses , doctors and pharamcists attend to you with defaced and messy uniforms.
Or if you need an operation, the nurses, doctors, and theater staff wear dirty defaced uniforms to attend to you....
There is a reason why you have to maintain discipline while under NYSC....it is to prepare you for the world of employment, where there are rules and regulations , and where dressing well is a way by which companies attract business.
Or if you were a business owner, you would let your employees dress anyhow....even to the point of turning up to work naked? It is their human right to dress as they please , you know... I am sorry, I was referring to the part were he said they need permission to travel. I should have stated that clearly. |

Johnwicky: The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has warned corps members against defacing the NYSC uniform.
Ibrahim, in a statement issued on Wednesday in Umuahia, gave the warning when he paid an unscheduled visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, in Umunna, NAN reports.
According to the statement signed by Mr Omaka Nnachi, the Public Relations Officer of NYSC, Abia, the D-G warned that severe punishment would be meted out to anyone who defaced the uniform.
Addressing the prospective corps members during their registration, the NYSC boss said: “Our uniform is our brand. As such, you must dress properly.’’
Ibrahim also cautioned them against embarking on unauthorised journeys, saying, “it is what kills our corps members most. It is not insecurity but death as a result of road traffic accidents.’’
“If you want to travel within Nigeria, it is only the state coordinator that can permit you. If you apply and it’s not granted, stay put.
“If you want to travel outside the country, it is only the D-G that can approve your journey, if not granted, don’t move an inch.
The Army General, who went round the camp for inspection, commended the state coordinator, Mrs Bona Fasakin, for bringing newness to the camp kitchen.
Source>>>http://www.ogbeta.ng/2019/11/deface-your-uniform-and-get-punished.html He doesn’t even realize that this is a violation of their fundamental human right. He needs to draw a clear line between advise, policy and law. |

You are probably chasing after ladies your age who can see through your naivety. Stature is also a concern for girls within this age bracket. Girls between 20-24 need men that are more mature than they are and “presentable” to their peers. Keep trying. |

Hello Gazzuzz,
I have the a problem with my ‘09 highlander fan. It comes on intermittently hours after the ignition is off. This started after AC technician changed from auto to manual. He connected the fan directly and bypassed the control when troubleshooting my tripping AC. I insisted he changed back to default a few weeks later but the fan wouldn’t work again except on direct. I have changed my compressor and the AC works well now but the radiator fan still starts intermittently hours after I switch off my ignition.
I need help. |

Alvin007: Please confirm that the technician has returned the fan to factory specifications..(work at interval).....you can try another technician. I just hope the fan module isn’t faulty already. The fan will continue to start intermittently if it’s still connected to work directly. He did but the fan wouldn’t work on that mode. I may have to change the module. Thank you. |

Alvin007: I understand your problem vividly cos my brother's 2012 Toyota Highlander is having the same problems...it wasn't like that when he bought it though..it started after he took it to an air condition 'kazeem' expert, who advised him to connect the radiator fan, to work all the time, and not randomly as it was designed to work..he later tampered with the whole thing. I advised him to return it to 'status quo ab initio'.. (factory/stock settings)..this might solve your problem...get an expert and revert to factory settings, if this is the same problem.. Crews: It will be highly appreciated if any one could advise if the yellow card I got in May 2018 is still valid to be used for my visa application in December 2018.
Also, is it mandatory to submit a reference letter from place of work for study visa?
Thanks. I used the YC I got last year, as long as it meets the requirements as stated on the visa application form. . Recent YC have QR code on them but the older version is still valid. Reference/introduction letter is mandatory. If it’s such a hassle, attach your payslip and work ID but I advise you get the letter. |

Thanks for the feedback, there was no such clause on my visa or the note attached to my passport. Blakface: Yes @ your first paragraph I know that. I was only asking cause someone told me they put a clause on their visas stating you can't use it for other countries. I was planning to apply through d IT embassy, because that would be my entry point due to the cheap ticket on air Italy.
For the luggage thing, That's surprising cause I used air Italy in March, and I got 2*23kg. There's a special offer for Nigerian and Ghanaian citizens for the extra luggage, make sure you tick the box, if you're using them. But even with 1*23kg self, it's still good. I know how to pack 15kg in my hand luggage(s)
And yes like you said, The planes are basic, Boeing 737 or so.. no entertainment. Food is rubbish, but for under 500$ and direct flight..I don't mind.
Thank you for answering though, I'd go through Italy.
Wish you and your family a splendid trip. |
Travel › Re: Italy Visa by FabioPeter: 2:40pm On Jul 23, 2018 |
Blakface: Can you use it for other countries? I heard Italy makes their visa valid for just Italy and not the other Schenghen states. Air Italy is super cheap, so I'd like to take advantage. It’s Schengen visa you can use it for all scheghen countries within the duration of the visa. However, have to enter through the country whose embassy processed the visa, people seem to use a different country as entry point but right to enter is subject to interpretation by immigration at the airport. Air Italy planes seem small, one one luggage allowed for economic ticket. It’s not that cheap. |

Jbankole2018: Hi, please I want your candid advice, have already applied for US tourist visa and am scheduled for next month ending. Am married with two kids, my wife and I are working with good pay. The issue I have is I haven't never traveled out of the country and I stated it in my application form. Now that travelling history is very key in issuing US visa, what are the alternative I have? Should reschedule my appointment and try to travel to other countries to boost my chance or I should just go for my interview next month ending. Thanks guys Just try but to be realistic chances are slim. |

A few years ago I was in a similar circumstance with similar response. The VO said she thinks it’s unfair for me to leave my pregnant wife at home for a vacation. I and my wife had applied 2 years before this when she was 3 months pregnant for our first. We declared that she was pregnant and the interview that seemed to be going well ended the moment we said that. Thankfully I got the visa at the third attempt a couple of months after the second, I had a training with a letter sent to the embassy, that was a good enough justification. Try again.
