Hi guys, please I need help in dealing with this situation.
I am supervising a 4 bdrm building project and now at the wiring stage. I have received quotations from two different electricians and I'm a bit confused because the item descriptions differ significantly. One of the quotations is from the guy who did the piping but for the fact that he ATE us during the piping stage, so I decided to get someone else to checkmate him.

I have included the two quotations for those who are very knowledgeable about electrical wiring to advice me on what to do.

PS: We are building on a budget hence no money to throw around.

hello please which quotation did you eventually use? did the electricians over quote on the cables? am currently at this stage on .y building and the wuitation am getting is something else.

You know that what works in this side may not work in another side because of differences in sand used in the plaster. We first examine the types of plastering sand, possible combinations of soft and coarse sands (sharp sand), before we determine what the cement/sand ratio will be. We do this in every different locations.

I was born and bred in a flat roofed house with the Swan Zinc you people have rejected today but till now the roof is still there and am not less than 30. So it's possible your friend' s house was roofed with all these "Painted Papers" called Aluminium sheets or Stone coated tiles.

What really annoys me is that when you ask these architects to design a house for you, they would come with nothing but those archaic pillars with tiles all over telling you that it's what is in vogue. Another one is this roofs that will be twice taller than the house itself. And they would tell you everybody is doing it that way. Honestly, I hate those "National Anthem" styles.

To get good result DON’T mixed it with any other substances like kerosene, water, black oil etc.

Then use praying apparatus/equipment to do the application, this will safe you a lot.

With this,4 gallons will be enough for the job.
I usually undergo same procedure in most of my projects

Your mix ratio is 1:5 and its OK......

the cracks could be as a result of impurities in the sand - OR the workmen not allowing it dry a bit before rubbing it......

for better result, you can 'filter' the sand, so dirt are removed...

mixing ratio includes:
1:3, 1:4, 1:5 or 1:6 - 1:8

I suspect your cracks is workmen error

They charge from N500 upward depending on the volume and location. It could also depend on the material type they want to use. Some mix extra pva for stronger bond and use high cement mix.
I know a competent screeded that relocated to Kaduna. I could get you his contact if you wish.

I thought it was cement screeded at first glance.
Since it's water pooling and being absorbed by the wall that most likely caused the cracks, you may paint the skirting with water resistant paint so that it's flows off the wall.

This life is so euphemiral though full of twist and turns.
Firstly, I do appreciate all your concerted advices as well as the insults, I must admit no man is an island of knowledge.
I traveled and the DNA test was done, I was especting a quick result like 2hrs but the doctor told us it will take 5days to a week before the result will be out.
I'm in deeper mess, I saw my daughter today for the first time and no doubt she's mine but I will come back to that later as what happened today between I and my ex is I don't know.
When I first saw her, the rage in her is shocking as I've never see her in that mood before as I was so scared to move closer to her and when I do I received barrage of slaps and beatings, she cried profusely and strange enough my parents were just looking at us as I was left to calm her down on my own.
The situation took a twist when we reach home as the way she and my parents were doing look strange, just like the old days when she was younger, the gists and the friendship and despite trying to avoid her, we ran into each other twice and it wasn't funny as she can't look straight into my eyes, she was breathing heavily as the closeness is just too much believe me I don't know how we got kissing in the first place, thank God for my mum footsteps and the second was in her car when she was about leaving, we had a lengthy discussion where she told me she know I will be back and that she only marry her husband just to despise me, she also told me they have been living a separate life for over 3years after a physical attack by the husband after he won't pay back the money she loaned him to support his business.
Again, I can't explain how we end up kissing passionately again and all this is known to my dad as he told me he's being watching us especially what he saw us doing in her car.
I'm 37years of age and this thing? It's getting too much for me to handle.
My daughter is just like my mirror, the way we quickly bond together is amazing, she was so free with me and my parents and I kissing my ex twice? God help me.
