Art, Graphics & VideoRe: Drawing A Smiling Girl With A Ballpoint Pen ~ DRAWING VIDEO by faceland(op):
In the above video, I made used of the 'Lucky Pen' (Leo Lucky Corer ballpoint pen) which use to be the pen I prefer to draw with for many years. However a few months ago, I discover another pen I love and you can checkout my blog post about the 10 reasons HPI-Eureka is my new favourite pen (for making art).

Anyway, with almost a decade of utilizing this particulate brand of pen, I have come to have an emotional attachment to the tool and using it is like meeting an old friend. ✍

This sketch was made using a ballpoint pen. It depicts the image of a smiling woman’s face. It is part of the collection of biro-artworks made inside an old textbook.

FamilyRe: PATERNITY FRAUD: 30% Of Nigerian Men Are Fathering Children That Aren’t Theirs? by faceland: 7:44pm On Apr 27, 2019
I would test all my kids one year after their birth (also to ensure the child wasn't swapped at the hospital). As long as it is under 100k, I would pay to be SURE.

Women cheat because of immaturity, poverty or an impotent spouse.

I know 30% of married women would cheat at least twice, but to conceive bastards, I don't think it is wide spread.

I don't mind adoption but it must be my choice not a LovePeddler playing on my intelligence.

This is not scientific. How can you judge all bearded men based on a study on 18 guys. 18 guys from where? Afghanistan? It could be 18 homeless men... Then what type of dogs? Is it street dogs or Obama's dogs?

What is the diffrence between beard and the hair on your head or eyebrows?

Just has you had it easy with airtel for sim swap, so i had. You were told to pay #1000 recharge and #100 for sim in the Glo World center you visited. that is mild. I was told to pay #5000 for recharge card and #100 for sim at Warri Glo world center close to Urhobo College. I called 121 and was told there was no such compulsorily paying for recharge card. I went about three weeks later, and was told to pay #3000 and #100...forgetting i was there earlier. I called customer care again and was advice to go there and call from there so that they can know the staff demanding such amount for recharge card before giving out sim card. and that i will surely do.
Abeg help get that criminal sacked. He doesn't know how important a line/number can be for someone... Most LGA in Delta don't have a Glo center so people travel a long distance to bigger town only to meet someone like that?

You have a choice to make then. You can change network but glo is excellent in some areas though as someone confirmed and I concur.
They drew me in with the enticing bonuses. I call and text freely but it is a struggle to use up the data before it expires.

That's his opinion but I disagree with him. Glo is far better than airtel. They offer a lot of freebies and their data is very economical.

Airtel is far worse. Instead of doing this, he should have changed network.

We all know that MTN has largest coverage in the country followed by glo, etisalat and airtel.

What happened in his case was he was in an area not covered by glo network. Maybe in an interior village. I don't think that warrants calling them 'useless' though.

Use the network that serves your purpose at any given point in time.

Watch out how this same person that called glo useless will call MTN useless when they start their own.
If you go to my Facebook message, for the past 4 years I have been sending the same messgae once every 6 months that is; my data is about to expire but I can NOT use it due to poor network. They give me the same generic answer to check my settings etc (instead of saying the truth that their network is poop and hundreds of thousands of their customers are complaining and no setting has ever fixed this).

Na lie. It depends on the area. I just used Glo 4G data to post this. I've been using Glo 4G data for at least 2 years now and its be excellent in my area.

Every service provider have areas they are weak or strong.
Glo would dash you data but to use that data is a struggle.... The bigger the city, more likely the network would fail you. Once you enter a remote area, it would be shooting fast... Anyway, Glo is the most generous network but they are unreliable.

Honestly, that bill should be restricted to the Public Sector.

The Private Sector should be spared for now until Government have done the needful.

Running Business in Nigeria requires the grace of God.
It is big private companies that are in trouble. Those that are forced to even pay pension and insure all employees.... The SMS business would just ask the applicant to sign that they are willing to work for less.

Nigerian government has never operated a self-sufficient organisation at profit, so I don't expect them to understand what it takes to run a successful business.

Tell him about the national minimum wage and your dissatisfaction with the pay he is giving you... So he can sack you and choose one out of the 20 other people willing to take your job for 20k or less.

Now alternatively, you can ask yourself if your boss can afford to pay people 30k and has he paid someone that amount of money. Then get the skills of those people and solve a 30k problem.

TV/MoviesRe: NTA: An Embarrassment To Nigeria by faceland: 10:32am On Apr 08, 2019
HisSexcellency:
Came back this morning from church only to discover that my cable subscription has expired, so i tuned to the only available channel NTA.

I haven't watched NTA for God knows how long now, i was totally disappointed with what was showing on my tv screen, the picture quality and lighting was very poor, audio quality was awful. It was as if i was teleported by to the 1970s or something.

We are in the 21st century for God sake, what will it cost the management of NTA to overhaul the stations. I believe they get budgets annually running into billions. Privately owned and managed tv stations like Channels, Tvc, Arise, Silverbird, AIT, etc are miles ahead of a supposedly more financed NTA. And what's with the archaic dirty brown colour combination, can't the colours of the station be changed to something more appealing and brighter? Or do we need a two- third majority of the national assembly to rebrand NTA.

For over 20 years ministers come and go and no one thought it wise to rebrand the station, if it involves sacking some persons to get the station running let the needful be done. NTA is supposed to be a national brand and pride, but what we currently have today is nothing to write home about.

I couldn't spare 3 minutes to watch the station today because it was a torture to the eyes and sense of good taste.
Let the appropriate persons sit up and save the only national tv we have as at today.
YouTube vlogger have far better quality video than NTA and they pay those civil servants many millions of naira as salary, cars and building.

Disagree......Create some cool sh*t....I've worked at a few tech hubs in Nigeria and a lot of work done there is kinda mediocre. Like for example, most people think tech is all about mobile apps and web development you hardly see any ML or A.I junkie, and before you mention schools not doing their jobs keep in mind Elon Musk knew jack sh*t about space but he read a lot of books on the subject and now he owns probably the biggest private space company in world, SpaceX
I like as you want to encourage the local artists but if we are to be realistic... Your mate overseas with similar skills and skin colour and work ethic, would consider your monthly earnings as chicken-change... In fact some spend your entire monthly income on coffee (at Starbucks).

If you want to be a YouTuber for instance, and don't have money, you just need to go to a public building and get free WiFi but in Nigeria, you would find money for night browsing and their is a 40% chance their might not be electricity after subscribing or poor mobile network... If you finally get a foreign client (because locals don't appreciate art), PayPal wouldn't allow you to collect money because you are Nigerian...

Over 10 years ago, I joined an online membership gallery (that time artist use to make at least 3000 dollars a month, just before the stock market crash in USA), many times people who contacted me about my art would end the email correspondence once he discovered I was a Nigerian... Till this day, sites like yessy.com don't allow Nigerian artist to join (back in the days, that was the hottest place to sell your art as they bought Google ads but I don't think they are relevant anymore).
CrimeRe: 'Everyone Knows The Penalty For Drugs Is Death' — Saudi Arabia Defends Execution by faceland:
It is only Yuroba Muslims that traffic drugs... We have many Northern Muslims that are junkies but would never carry drugs to their holy city's.

I know that at least 20% of the accused are innocent but they were set up by their fellow fake Yuroba Muslim in charge of immigration and processing their bags..

I know a junkies that use to spend 1500 each day on drugs and when his father insisted he would go for hajj, he volunteered to be admitted in rehab and spent 6 months there, going straight from cell to process his papers and travelled but soon relapsed after returning.

The government should collect the data of states origin of the accused and implement proper venting of all travellers from those state to avoid this embarrassment to the more faithful Muslims because they are Nigerians would be categorise as potential drug traffickers (just for money) and it's not fair to the more righteous ones.

I hate many aspects of the radical form of Islam but one thing I know about Northern Muslims is if you challenge him to treat you fairly on a business deal for the sake of his faith, he would give up his material interest for the integrity of his belief (even the secret atheist would do it for cultural reasons as Islam is also a culture).

Do you know that Google+ nolonger exist? here is how to access your deleted profile information.

As of April 2nd 2019, your Google+ profile would not be accessible in the public domain, even you cannot access your profile the the old http://plus.google.com address. Don't worry if you have customised your story or biography. It is not all lost you can still copy and paste your information if you follow these simple quick steps.

The 1st step is to just download your old Google Plus Date (picture, updates and even contacts/followers)

However that method does NOT allow you to easily access the biography you composed or view your profile.

To access your Google+ PROFILE (as if nothing happened), just go to http://aboutme.google.com

Secure your information as soon as posoble because Google would eventually delete these data (or so they claimed).

This is an eairler attempt at drawing a hair. I ended up shading the spot of error dark (like the eye to the right and the hair), but generally to the untrained eyes, it seems okay.

Unlike the one above it, you can't see the direction the waving hair flows to. Hopefully, as I practice more, I would notice new improvements henceforth.

A portrait made on the pages of a recycled old textbook (turn sketchbook).

I am a lightweight at drawing the human hair (especially with a ballpoint pen). I often end up shading the hair almost all dark but recently, I was able to complete this portrait hair well.
