Hi,

Does any one have study materials and possibly past questions for APEGA exams (P.Eng Alberta).

I would really appreciate any form of support.

Has Anyone used MAJEK logistics in NAHCO for cargo to Calgary, What was your experience, Mine has been very horrible?
Firstly he advised us to cargo the goods the same day we were to travel, but he never mentioned he will not be around to weigh the goods.

So 1st issue we could not get an actual weight for the items as we had to drop them off with an apprentice.
As soon as we traveled reaching him became unreasonably difficult, eventually, when we got through to him he said the weight was upside of 100kg. Whereas we estimated the weight to be between 70 to 80 Kg. Ok let's let that one slide, you already tricked me to travel without weighing the goods, the payment we made eventually was about 250K.

Now the goods took another 1 week plus to arrive, Now his representative in Canada here another Nigerian is asking for another 137 CAD almost 80K to clear it again after paying 250K before. He said we have to pay. I called the Majek guy now only for him to say oh failed to mention it before but we have to pay. For me that is just dishonesty and trickery, why was this not mentioned so I can properly plan myself,

I'm also aware that Goods to Follow as a New Immigrant are not charged, So I don't know where this amount is coming from.

Please share your experiences as well.

P4perissos:
Please can my POF be in USD?

Most certainly & You can keep it in a DOM account.
If you are on this journey I strongly advise POF be changed to USD.

Please who can assist with affordable airlines, Ethiopian airlines appear to have stopped all flights from Nigeria.
I couldn't book on their website.

Thanks so much, this is really good. I'll try this out.

chiada:

I hope my experience will help you navigate properly what to do.

I got a ready for visa mail on the 25th of July 2022 without my second baby born in May this year reflecting in my application. I had already notified them previously via webform but got no response.

I had to swing into action immediately to facilitate the addition of my baby.

These are the steps I took:

1. I replied them through the RFV mail, notifying them of the existence of my newborn and my intention to add her as an accompanying dependent. I also informed them I had notified them via webform before the mail but got no response.

2. I attached the documents I had available to back up my claims in the mail I sent.

*Birth certificate
*Baby's picture
*NIN slip because I did not have the international passport available
*LOE for medicals with the appointment booking. I had not done medicals for her yet but I had booked appointment with Qlife
*LOE for International passport with application print out and appointment booking print out. She had not been captured yet but she had been booked for capturing. I was working on a reschedule for her because the capturing date was for September 12.
*LOE with documents for updated POF to now accommodate a family of 4 instead of 3.

I got a response via same mail on the 26th of July, that they are writing to acknowledge receipt of my notifications, however I need to resend the attached documents because they are more than 5mb. I had to compress the documents and re-sent them.

I got another response on the 27th of July with the body of the mail stating

*Good day,
Please be advised that the final decision was removed on your application in order to facilitate the addition of your child to your application.
Please do not submit your passports at this time.
You will be contacted in due course regarding the next steps required.

On the 29th of July, I got another mail asking me to check my profile for update as they require some documents from me to complete the addition. I was given 30days to do this, which expires on the 28th of August.

I had to pay extra to reschedule appointment for her capturing and paid another extra to fast track the production of the passport.

I finally got the passport on the 18th of August and I uploaded and submitted all the documents requested of me on mycic account on the 20th of August using the placeholder provided.

I still notified IRCC via same RFV mail trail of the uploaded documents they requested for on the 20th of August.

On the 23rd of August, I got a response from IRCC informing me that they have received successfully the uploaded documents.

On the 24th of August, I got a mail for me to check my profile for a new update. I checked and realized my baby has been successfully added.

On the same 24th of August, I received another Ready for Visa mail which I will be submitting our passports on Monday next week at VFS Lagos.

For now, use the RFV mail sent to you to communicate with them. Webform they delay things. They might see it and they might not. But the RFV mail will definitely deliver directly to your processing officer.

All my communication was through the RFV mail I received on the 25th of July 2022.

The process of addition was very fast for me. I was totally surprised.

I wish you all the best in yours.

Good Evening Guys, I got a "Ready For Visa" email 4 days ago (23rd August) but I still have some concerns.

Background story: I have 2 kids, one already updated in my application since 2020.
The 2nd child was birthed in March this year - So I raised a webform to notify IRCC
I applied for Int'l Passport which came out in late July - Raised another webform (included all requirements for dependent child).
I booked medicals for him and the whole family - which was done on the 19th of August 2022. (our last medicals was done in August last year,
although this is updated as 23rd Dec 2021 due to wife Xray being delayed as a result of her pregnancy).

The Issues:
1. My application is still capturing only one child despite completing all the requirement for the 2nd child to be added.(Most Important).
2. I expected the Medicals to have been updated to August 19th 2022.

basically my application remains the same prior to the birth of my 2nd child.

In the interim I have notified IRCC via webform awaiting their feedback. while I have started gathering the documents to be sent to VAC Lagos.

Is it safe to say that Ottawa has woken up?!

Hi Mamaroon, thanks for the response I would take your suggestion, I'm amazed you even remembered I wanted to write TEF then, We have Angels on this platform thanks for looking out for me. I actually wrote the TEF then and although I didn't clear all the Bands (Writing dealt with me) I was able to get additional 8 points that moved my CRS from 457 to 465 and that was how I got my ITA. And I'm also very glad i did cos CRS scores are not smiling these days.

Mamaroon:

Congrats on your bundle of joy!!! My advise is to raise a CSE and ask IRCC gan gan about if you should go ahead and do medicals again, in view of the Sept expiry. They usually respond to CSEs within 4 days or so (how many days do you have to do baby's medicals?) Prepare your mind to travel twice sha just in case....it's for a good cause.

By the way, did you eventually take the TEF and use it to increase your CRS?

Please I have a situation and i need advise from the Gurus in the house.

So, I recently added my baby to my application and I've been asked to go for my baby's medicals, Now my wife and I, our medicals will expire in 2 to 3 months from now (Not sure which one is the actual deadline because We did the medicals on the 14th of August 2019 and it was updated on my application on the 13th of September 2019).

Can We request to retake another medicals right away so that I can just schedule everything the same time as my baby's medical or wait until they prompt me to retake medicals, I just want everything to go smoothly going forward as I'm not based in Lagos or Abuja, therefore prompting us for another medicals in the future would mean planning another trip, waste of time and more expenses etc.

What deadlines do you have to look out for?

Guys,

I've had this issue troubling me for a while now and I need your advice.
So the DOB on my WAEC, WES & Marriage Certificate is different from all my other documents - It's a year younger.

I must quickly state that my CRS score (465) was not gotten with this age but with my actual age on all my documents.
When I sent my request to WES I clearly stated this and even included an affidavit but my ECA came back with the younger age.

I've gotten ITA and I want to know the best way to explain this in my application, will LOE alone suffice or do I add an affidavit to it?
I will appreciate your sincere feedbacks.

Thanks.

Also help with an email address if they have any?
I tried calling their numbers today but there was no response.

Kennyyo:

I plan to write by then.

Hi @Kennyyo, have you paid for the exam? are you already fluent in french?
let's share ideas before the exam date.

I have already paid for the exam in June, I'm quite fluent in french.
I've read through this thread before and got some tips.
I downloaded a couple of books and i think 2 of them are very essential (TEF 250 Activites & TEF Objectif Reussite)
There's also a youtube channel with tips for preparing for TEF (MIMI TEF), I've watched some of the videos there, they're quite good.
i noticed for the TEF the materials for preparation are very limited unlike IELTS.

Any other person preparing for the exam, let's share strategy and ideas.

Bonne Chance a Tous!!!

Mamas and papas in the house. Please enlighten me a bit. I wrote the IELTS test on 14 Feb, result cake out with L.S.R.W as 8,7,7,6.5. Can I still apply for a re-mark?
What percentage do I have that the writing would come to 7.0, because that's what is dropping my CRS scores?
Thanks

Wow ... You have just today and tomorrow to apply for a remark. You're supposed to apply for a remark within 6 weeks from your test date. Hurry and take your chance quickly.

Good evening everyone, For those that want to increase their CRS points using BCS (Certificate in IT) examination, I have good news for you.

My evaluation with WES finally came out today, see screenshot below. smiley

I also want to use this opportunity to thank @kemzyebony for drawing my attention to a post here about the BCS exam sometime last year. Trust me I was ready to go to NOUN or study for ACCA even though I don't have any background in accounting, lol.

Ifeoma77:

If you are just commencing, consider using ICES. Save yourself all the WAEC/NECO wahala.

As to the WAEC issues, I've not read of anyone who processed theirs from Abuja. Maybe get someone in Lagos to do it for you?
The main office might be in Gwagwalada but they have an office in Area 10, across the road from conoil filling station while driving towards UTC. Maybe you can make enquiries there
You can do the affidavit anywhere
You will find the documents required on page 1

Hi, Please anyone that has been to the WAEC office in Lagos should please share their experience as well.
Kindly help us with what to expect.

Thanks!
