Can it compete with the real one in Nigeria at the moment?

Business / Re: Banks Deliberately Flood Market With Dirty Naira Notes—cbn by fairprince(m): 5:19pm On Jan 10, 2018
Sirheny007:

I have been trying to understand the economics involved in that-
The other day, i went to a Fidelity Bank to pay in a certain amount. The teller there refused to collect some notes.
It was then I got to know that banks pay for the mutilated notes they collect.
The question is, why would CBN charge them??
I dont understand the loss CBN will incur if they accept the mutilated notes from these commercial banks.

Thank you. The N12k charge is not based on the denomination oooo. If u like fill the box with coins or N10 or N500 or N1k: same charge. And the DMBS cannot pass this cost to the customers. In order to avoid wahala, they simply stop sending them to CBN.

CBN told us they are also working on tight budgets too and advised everyone to adopt e-banking for transactions which is cheaper.

Besides, the machines at CBN 'crushes' these notes and thus record them as shortages for banks. No argument. You just have to pay for the shortages for peace to reign.

Cheers.

I apologise. This A.G power tussle has turned most of its members into embittered sycophants. Some of them I know are busy taking sides instead of talking about the rot, politics and corruption the leadership has enmeshed the organization into.

I am sorry too.
God bless you.

I always felt sorry for people who took sides when both sides erred too. God will help the church reconcile and forge ahead. No vex abeg.

Educate that ignorant sycophant!

Who are you?

Do you think this is the best way to attack me or correct me?

What do you know?

Go read up the history of AG and their connections with the Springfield Missouri. Check how the missionaries came from there and their roles in policy formation, missions, church building and funding. Even until recently, they still send and fund missions work in Nigeria and Africa. They started some of the Bible Schools in partnership with AG Nigeria and left when they felt things are okay. Until recently (last year), a US missionary was still an EC member in AG Nigeria.

Pls you will need to apologise to me for calling me an ignorant sycophant. You can correct me fine. But don't be vulgar about it.

Happy new year!

e back. he fought back but Last. He is now leading some districts loyal tô hum. The legal battle AG fought with Paul put the church in a very bad light but they dont know. Church and going to court to settle issues among themselves is where they lost it. Instead of peaceful settlenent, the people they call unbelievers settle them. sad indeed .

Yes. Sadly but true.

Which is why last year, the church took specific steps to go back to the basics: divine sanitisation, missions, evangelism et al. This year talks abt revival and God's glory.

When you look up to Jesus Christ and follow the scriptures and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it wld be difficult to be swayed by the tongues of men. Just follow Christ. The church will bounce back gradually.

Please out of my heart, I am begging you people to look at this as Christians, don't be biased be cause it can bring people to nairaland to read a post. Besides you have visitors anyway without this post. Chidi okoroafor is not the general superintendent. So as Paul Emeka. There is no general superintendent in assemblies of God. So please don't mislead people, if this most be on front page, I beg you to remove that general superintendent and now leave it as "Chidi okoroafor of assemblies of God General message" e. T. C. As semis of God is my church, it is divided right now as we speak. So please the matter is still in court as who will be the right gm. Thank yoh

Seun happy new year.

Please follow Christ and study your Bible to make heaven. It won't be nice to start the new year as a trouble maker.

You are spreading falsehood here.

AG Nigeria has her headquarters in Enugu, Nigeria. AG US headquartered in Springfield Missouri is not the same with AG Nigeria. They are different churches with different doctrines.

Thanks bro. AG Nigeria has hqtrs in Enugu. That is right even though most activities happen at Okpoto. But the church came from the US. Most of the earliest missionaries of the church were commissioned and sent from there. Even some of the elderly ministers (some past EC members) went there several times. They will also tell you some significant decisions taken at that location. Some even went there for their Masters and PHD programmes.

Just do a little research, you will see the significance of Springfield Missouri in AG.

Thanks anyway for spotting that out.

Cheers.

Synonyms: administrant, administrator, archon, director, exec, manager, executive, supervisor.

Full Definition
: one who has executive oversight and charge.

Please check your dictionary always before commenting.

He is appointed and can be removed too by the members. He does not own the church. That is how the church handles her administration globally. It is headquartered in Springfield Missouri US.

Hmmm, so many says about the year from diff men but same God

He didn't say anything different. He only said revival of his glory in people's lives and the cultivation of His presence. When done well will breed the other blessings humans seek. It is simple Biblical principles he is talking abt.

Yes his name is Paul Emeka, I even thought it was the Paul Emeka that was the GS. I don't understand what's going on there anymore. Maybe they removed the Emeka guy and replaced him with this one. I guess maybe that's why they were fighting

Emeka was suspended since and was replaced with Chidi Okoroafor. The church is led by Chidi Okoroafor based on appointment. He also can be removed if he mis-behaves. That is how the church runs in Nigeria and in US too.

Have they settled their fight with the other guy? I think his name is Paul something

Yes pls. Even though his splinter groups are spreading falsehood here and there. The church has decided to March on with emphasis on evangelism, missions and re-dedication of lives. They believe that one who is busy working for God genuinely will have little or no time for irrelevancies.

Great. We need God's presence and revival of His glory more than other mundane things at this time. We shall go back to the Word and get the basics.

The sad thing is that most of these money went offshore to countries like India. We still have a long way to go in IT skills acquisition. Many computer science and IT graduates of Nigerian universities are not properly equipped. Few good IT companies have little patience for mentoring young graduates also. They are looking for fully-formed professionals which is not too good. Info Tech is a gold mine that could lift many Nigerians from poverty but unfortunately, we are not properly tapping into it.

True. Most of the IT jobs and the monies go to the Indian companies. We've gat still a long way to go. We shall get there by God's grace.

in the 80 s there was this igbo guy in an area called ungwar rogo in Sokoto called Sunday at the begining of every December he goes to birnin kwanni in niger republic to rob for Xmas money so that particular year he was boldly telling everyone he must go to Anambra state with a Peugeot 505 to show he has arrived all effort to make him shelve the journey to Niger failed till he left listening to no one insisting he must travel for Xmas .
Well on the 27th December news came he was caught along the highway to birnin kwanni on robbery ; those that caught him dump him alive in a deep well without water took pictures of him and drop the pictures at the customs road block at illela and that end his yearly pilgrimage to easth for Xmas .
MANY OF THEM ARE SAME .

We Yoruba Muslims, especially from Kwara/Osun/Oyo, also don't joke with traveling home during sallah period. Ours just don't get this publicity.

In my 35 years of living, I have never celebrated big sallah (ileya) outside of my hometown except the year I traveled for hajj (which is same period).

Jarus this is unlike you. Please leave these kind of comments. Just read them and leave them the way they are.

You already carved out a niche for yourself in the career sections. And you are respected that way. Abeg let others continue the fight. It doesn't even change anything out there. You are a nairaland statesman.
