yes what you said is true. But then, I would suggest you allow an experienced businessman tell you exactly how finances help businesses. None of the factors, finance inclusive shld be taken in isolation. However on paper, our theories work well. But in practice, finance is key. You need finance to fight the competition war, to edge out competition with price war, to key into promos by supplier with lower prices, to even stock up for hoarding or in anticipation of price increases and to get what customers want always. But like I said other factors are important. To me from experience, finance is my number 1 issue.

You need to do your homework before starting a business. The markets are getting saturated so you need to set yourself apart in terms of quality and service delivery. Never compromise standards to make more profits. And most importantly, commit the business to God's hand. If I'm ever going to go into business (which I hope to in the nearest future), I'll examine the location, what really moves in such an area. I'll prefer to go into consumables as people will run out of it and come back for more.

It is a welcome development. But we should understand that the parallel market is not of much use to businessmen and women who need the funds to settle their suppliers. The parallel market may have dropped drastically, people are not patronizing them that much. Inflows yesterday still sold for N230 and some N240 self. That is the real value cos that is the one importers use for trade settlement.
Until the inflow price comes down to N200 or N205 will importers agree that there is a change. We do not buy from black market again cos it is useless now whether it is N140.

I guess it is just one aggrieved customer who feels his/her funds transfer was not done appropriately. They will settle it. It is not a big deal. Big deals are the issues banks have with CBN infractions.

I registered for this BVN thing some few months back with UBA and was told by the customer Care Rep that it was successful and will cover all my banks, though was not given any slip. However, recently am been sent messages by UBA asking whether or not I have enrolled for the BVN ..please I need clarification

Banks were just doing d registration initially without linking them to accounts. Just take d BVN to them, merge all ur accts to one ID and ask them to update ur BVN on ur accts. But signatory names and DOB must be same for this to work.

BVN is done by individuals who will update their corporate accounts under the signatory ID. Every corp account was opened by a signatory or signatories. Each of the signatories presents his/her BVN for update under their names. Banks cannot process loans again on any corp acct whose signatories do not update their BVN.
There is a BVN card. You were supposed to indicate a branch where the card would be sent.
If you have got a BVN ticket ID just take it to the processor branch within 48 hrs they will get ur BVN.
If u attempt registration twice in diff banks, u will complicate the matter ooo. It would take a long procedure and search to get the no when u registered more than once. Of course, the 1st BVN is the valid one.
Finally, if you want to update ur BVN with other banks, name and date of Birth must be same. If not the same, you will not be able to update ur BVN cos of conflicting info. In such a case, tell ur bank to update ur data to tally with ur BVN registration.

And that she would need to travel to her school to get another number. She finished in 2007 from a University. Pls how else can she get around this?
