Health / Re: Female Genital Mutilation: What You Need To Know As A Nigerian by faith2ogesco(m): 6:47am On Nov 12, 2017
female circumcision has existed even before the white men dreamt of making voyage to Africa, so it's not about white men, and I would prefer my husband marry another wife than to be fvcking another man, white people are loosing their morality and sanity that I have to take a second and triple look at anything they say,so as far as this matter is concerned I was circumcised as a baby and I can comment on its effects from experience, instead of mere speculation and hear say from people like you, since you were not circumcised, all your points are mere speculation
therein lies the reason you can still enjoy sex. It was done to u as a baby. That helped in various ways. Note that this is my analogy alone
1. No psychological trauma cause you had no sense of self then in reality
2. When done as a baby. The body is still growing so it can develop new means to counter the reduced sexual desire due to FGM and other areas could become more sensitive. An example is how the other senses of blind people are heightened.
If u had experienced it as an adolescent orbit was type 3 fgm. E no go funny at all.
So pls if u want to circumcise ur girl, plz do just a sunna plz

Afrokan:

Its a common misconception.... Both are for the same reason because an unmutilated man as a higher sexual hurge and experience than the mutilated.
I disagree again

Afrokan:

Do you realise, both male and female genital mutilation serve the same purpose? To reduce the sexual sensitivity of the sexual organs.
Uncircumcised men have a much better and enjoyable sexual experience than circumcised men same with women
I disagree

2ndly Last year some OSS folks were called on phone to tell them about some particular schools the should apply to but LSS were officially contacted by text/mail first. Since this year the number of lss scholars was increased and OSS prob reduced. Even if they have spoken to some, you might not know, plus guys since Friday companies and the government have been observing sallah and you guys are accusing somebody that he said list will be put 1st September. Them dey work on public holiday for government?? Jeez. Chill till Wed jare.

OK lemme kickoff with the institutes. AUST guys don advertise themselves tire so no need. You ve gotten all you need to know. I ll start with mine, which is OFFSHORE TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE, UNIPORT. The institute is just 4 yrs plus hence still in its formative years so competition to enter ain't that much cos ppl don't know much bout it like it's brothers. They offer courses that will deepen your knowledge in the offshore oil and gas exploration, production and maintenance of offshore and subsea structures industry. You have three MSC degrees to choose from.
1. Offshore Engineering (obviously)
2. Pipeline Engineering (for both onshore and offshore facilities)
3. Subsea Engineering (the new babies/hotcakes in town) Jux started last 2yrs while the other 2 started since the inception of the institute.
For the first 6months all depts learn together and only learn their function specific courses in the last month thereabout. So you ll have a good background in the three courses even if u hv an MSC in just 1 which you'll be a master of.

Course work is 8months of weekly grueling lectures and exams (like all other Institutes) and 3 months internship(only OTI, cgrp and COE(6MONTHS)) do internship. The institute tries to source internship for you but if you can find by yourself good cos they may not be able to get for all, all the time though they try. Also OPITO Boshiet training is compulsory for all students as its part of your tuition fees. Ermmm I think this is enough. For those looking for gbagaun here. Pls face front o tongue

Wow, which institute are you talking about bro? Did they pay for their tuition and get a refund from PTDF or did the institute wait for PTDF to pay the fees?
ips and OTI are what I know of. Other centers of excellence hv probably gotten theirs too. You present the scholarship letter when going for the interview.

Bros are you going to man up or wait on your mother's approval?
My very good friend had an issue like this. He is the first son and his mum was so particular about where he would marry from. He finally picked a wife from a village approved by mumsy. He is married now but the wife and the mum cannot see eye to eye. The wife is like her...quite domineering and doesnt take nonsense just like his mum. So they dont agree. When the mum visits from the villa, she stays with her other son who married a yoruba woman that she didn't approve of. She gets along with that one.
Sometimes mums are picking based on what works for them rather than what works for their son. It is you that will marry the wife not her.
plz o. Calm down. I Jux raised a serious but hilarious point, I already know what I want was Jux trying to emphasize what mums do

A friend that got ptdf lss last year was lamenting that ptdf has not paid them since last year that he was the one funding the program.

I was one of the successful applicant this year.
I intend to choose the top schools e.g IPS COE,AUST. But I was afraid when I heard this from a friend because I cannt afford to fund myself in our own public schools talkless of Top Notch schools.

If I can fund myself there is no need for me to apply for Ptdf.

Pls I need clarification on this
well they hv paid bro. I don't know about yr frnd but those in my Institute have been given something and their tuition fees paid. It came very late tho.jux bout 2weeks back.

dangotesmummy:
fast and easy solution is

Choose a lady you like. Once you've agreed on the basics take her to your home to meet your mom and if your mom has a problem with wherever she's coming from, get the Lady pregnant. Your mom will be forced to give her consent

One thing with African patents is that they're always paranoid with every decision you make and if you keep waiting on them till they're satisfied you'll wait in vain because they're insatiable. It's when you finish making your choice they'll tell you they're proud of you and you took after them.if you keep waiting on them they'll baby you for the rest of your life or for as long as you permit them
brossss. Easy abeg I no follow for Dat one
