Popular Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has revealed that Mohbad's wife, Omowunmi, has agreed to take a DNA test to find out if her child is for the late signer, Mohbad.

Freshreporters News recalled that the singer, Mohbad passed away on September 12, and there were controversies around his death, his body was brought out of the grave, and on September 21, police force checked Mohbad's body for an autopsy.

Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba, warned against burying Mohbad without his approval. He wanted a DNA test to confirm if Omowunmi's child is really Mohbad's.

Iyabo talked to Daddy Freeze and said Omowunmi, through her lawyer, asked for the DNA test in three specific hospitals. Omowunmi wants Mohbad's family to pay for the test and cover expenses for a trip to the United States. Iyabo said Mohbad's family agreed to these conditions.

Iyabo clarified that she didn't want to get involved in the family matters but brought up the DNA test with maturity. She mentioned it's not easy for someone to ask for a DNA test for their child.

The family agreed to Omowunmi's conditions, including Mohbad's father getting a court order for the test and making sure it's done in three places, including the United States.

“But you know she has her lawyers. Their family matter is something I do not want to get involved with,” she said.

“I just decided to wade in and tell Wunmi, ‘What about the DNA thing?’ I had to do that with a lot of maturity.

“You have to understand that it is not easy. She is a mother. She is an adult. Someone cannot just come to me and say, ‘Iyabo, get a DNA done for your child’. It kinda sounds funny.

“They also requested that Mohbad’s father needs to get the test done first. He needs to get a court order.

“He also needs to make sure that the test is done in three places, which America is part of. And they have to fund the whole bill. They have also responded that they are ready to do all that.”

When Beth’s eldest daughter, N, noticed that her mother had failed to pick up the boys and that they hadn’t gone to school, she became concerned.
She decided to check on her mother, and upon arriving home, she found her father but not her mother.
Worried, she left the boys in their father’s care and departed. It was during the night that the two young boys, left alone with their father, began to notice a foul odor emanating from their parents’ bedroom.

Curiosity got the better of them, and they followed the smell, only to make the horrifying discovery of their mother’s decomposing body underneath the bed, surrounded by flies. In a state of panic and confusion, the boys sought help from their neighbors, explaining what they had encountered. The authorities were immediately notified, and Beth Mwangi’s body was transported to Bahati Bukuku mortuary.

Today, a post-mortem examination confirmed that she had indeed been strangled to death. The main suspect in this brutal murder is David Kiarie, the husband of the victim. It has been reported that he fled the scene, taking with him crucial documents belonging to the deceased, including her phone and the children’s phones.

The authorities have identified his parents’ home in Muranga as a possible location, and an intensive manhunt is currently underway to bring him to justice.

The former Local Government Chairman of Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State, and recently elected representative of Chikun Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, breathed his last amidst great sorrow and shock.

The late Honourable Madami Garba Madami, who was slated to participate in the inauguration of the 10th State Assembly members on June 13, 2023, was unfortunately unable to attend the event due to his deteriorating health condition.

Honourable Garba Madami, known for his dedication and commitment to public service, was highly regarded by his constituents and colleagues alike.

His sudden demise has left a void in the political landscape of Kaduna State and has been met with deep sadness and condolences from across the nation.

The Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa Command, has nabbed one Isyaku Lawal of 23-year-old, for allegedly sodomising a nine-year-old boy in Jigawa State.

The agency’s Public Relations Officer, in the person of CSC Adamu Shehu, made this know in a statement signed and issued out on the agency’s Facebook handle on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the father of the victim revealed that his daughter, an elder sister to the victim, reported to him that her sibling was sexually abused by the suspect.

The statement partly read, “Upon questioning, the boy stated that he was taken to an isolated place in the evening while he was playing alongside his friends by the suspect who removed his trousers and had canal knowledge of him, and thereafter urged him not to tell anyone and promised to buy him sweets, a promise which he failed to fulfill and which made him expose the incident to his sister.

“Meanwhile, medical examinations conducted at Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) at General Hospital Dutse shows repeated rectal penetrations and bruises in the anal area.

“Suspect has confessed to the crime and will be charged to court of competent jurisdiction to expedite justice.”
