Public Moron_ Douglash92 your deadbrain is needed here. Unlike the op I haven't got time to really psychoanalyze the notion. It's no miracle son.
He got his BSC in the north that must have been a major factor (remember??). Anything is possible, you can actualise any goal with good plan. I am not surprised people have been doing it for years and will keep doing it no matter how harsh the economy. Again
break yourself from the misguided impressions, read and explore more.

and do you like the way they live up north? do they look healthy as compared to the children of the average class and upper class there..why bring your children into the world of hardship especially in Nigeria. If you were talking about marrying some with a lower income outside this country where all the system are functioning very well, such as good medical insurance, affordable food, free public school and so on..i will understand..but not in Nigeria where ordinary ten thousand Naira cannot even cover a child pampers and food without feeling the pinch..Pls let us be realistic..if they so love each other very much they can marry and plan their life very well...that will mean there wont be any kids till the both of them can afford like a 100-200k combined just to be modest.

I don't know how they do it but somehow they'd live. I presume they'd economize and cut down unnecessary expenses and the wife HELPS. Not everywhere in the country that things are expensive, pure water is still #5 up north.

You keep casting aspersions at me but you are obviously the one who those aspersion rightly describe. The only slowpoke here is you and you aren't just a slowpoke you are an ignorant and mediocre minded one. This question is not excluded to people who live in Northern Nigeria and when you give answers you shouldn't couch your answer in a Northern Nigerian context. We are talking generally, based on the economic situation of Nigeria and based on the kind of needs people in general have, irrespective of where they live and I say it again: 35,000 a month can't give anyone in Nigeria a comfortable lifestyle. 35,000 a month can't afford many needs a couple would have, talkless of their children.

You have lived in northern Nigeria and I've lived on the Island. It's clear we both have different perspectives on how we view comfortable living. But for fucksake, there is more to life than living on breadcrumbs and managing in low standard environments. Open up your mind, aim for better and better will come to you. A man who earns 35000 a month should aim to better his life not aim for marriage. And you should stop making excuses for such an unwise man.

Of course you have work to do - Like going to another thread to post your ignorant comments. No wonder you are making excuses for financially mediocre lifestyles. When all you do from morning to night is comment on Nairaland. How can someone like you break free from your poverty mentality and financially inadequate lifestyle?

Sorry I didn't read.......

You are the one who needs to explore more and read more. What else provides good living if not money? You are a fool if you think any couple living in Nigeria would be happy under a 35,000 a month budget.

This isn't about being rich, this is about living a comfortable lifestyle. 35,000 a month can't give you a comfortable lifestyle.

I wonder what kind of poverty mentality most of you have on this forum sef. See this one talking about exposure. In the same Nigeria we are talking about, there are people who spend hundreds of thousands at clubs and restaurants per day. And this one is talking about living good with 35,000 a month, lol. Even ordinary tecno phone is more expensive than the monthly salary you are comfortable with.

Bloody moron_ visit the northern part of the country and see how people comfortably live with below 20k I'd school there. I don't have time for baseless arguments, I've got to work now.

That still doesn't give you the right to call anyone a hoe.

Ur mom was met a flower, so, will ur wife also meet you as a flower too?

If you are not innocent, then don't judge others.

You are becoming extremely nice , do you have any intention of contesting for miss nairaland? be it as it may.

I call it as I see it, Just because I am a hypocrite doesn't make my notion void. Besides much emphasis is placed on a girl's flower cus it forms part of her value to the world.

What kind of life are they living though? Is it a lifestyle you'd wish for your sister?

In every relationship, the man is the leader and hence has the responsibility as the breadwinner.. Forget all this western neo feminist nonsense. Let's face the reality we experience in Nigeria. In Nigeria, every woman expects their husbands to be able to provide for them and their family. No woman would be happy being the one feeding and providing for the family especially as a new wife. No woman would respect a man who she provides for. It's terribly emasculating. Why marry when you know you can't provide for your family? Why marry when you know you will be surrendering responsibility to your wife? And what kind of mumu woman marries such a man anyways?

Save me time for your jibby jabbers, clouded by misguided impression. This isn't a marriage seminar.

You must be the dumbest man on earth if you think everyone believe in the concept of money is equivalent to good living. Not everyone wish to be rich. We derive happiness from different conducts.

You need to explore and read more, stop postulating basic knowledge like it's rocket science.

My mum is not of this generation, nothing like "hoes" during her time. I was told it was a taboo then and curse will be upon any single girl who hoe. To round it up my dad met her a flower.

What does this comment have to do with the question? Must every thread serve as a medium for you to insult the opposite sex?

It's a culturally accepted standard here in Nigeria that the man is the breadwinner of the house and as such should be the primary financial provider. It doesn't matter how much the wife is arning. A man earning 35,000 shouldn't be thinking of marriage any woman, irrespective of how much she is earning, who agrees to marry such man isn't a wise woman.

Our gateman and private driver earn less with families and they are living.

secondly, seems you are outdated , the standard has changed a bit, anyone could be a primary provider now.

Don't you hoes save? you'd make lot of cash while single hoeing around.

hypothetically, from age 15-24(9years) a typical naija babe starts hoeing, please ladies should learn to save afterall he didn't meet you a flower.
