I was at two polling stations and I was amazed at how PDP were swinging voters by secretely promising to pay them 2k each.

The surprising thing was that many people agreed to vote for them for this pittance.

I had to start advocating there and then for people to reject all form of financial manipulation despite the fact that I was non-partisan. I am happy that I had a positive effect on some people.

Nigeria will keep wallowing in poverty and underdevelopment as long as people are financially induced to vote during elections. This is because the real people that can change Nigeria do not the financial muscle to pay their way into power.
