Please out of curiosity how will this tweak affect the general performance of the phone. Cos I keep wondering why manufacturers won't just set these phones to a greater battery life from factory.


Will some functions be affected or are there precautions to take?

If manufacturers do that you may not buy a new phone in the next 3 years and most developers won't feed.

Besides there are lots of apps installed on your phone that everyday Nigerian user cant make of or probably don't need.

Greenify is very straightforward just install and greenify the apps you feel like.

That's all. You should see a huge battery improvement.
If you still want to go even further you can debloat using titaniumbackup but that for advance users.

That's all with Myandroidtools pro. Now lets proceed to System Tuner app which is just one step.

Open up the app and select "Startup"

Then uncheck google services framework.

That's all for System tuner app.

Move to broadcast receiver menu and select google play services
Then disable the following

3. Open up the install Myandroidtools pro
We are going to tweak Services and Broadcast receiver menu

Select services menu and locate Google Play Services.
Use the switch to turn off the following services under google play services.
Please follow the picture and turn off only the services that are red in the photo.

I repeat don't mess around if you don't know what you are doing. Just turn off only what you see in the photo.

3. Open up the install Myandroidtools pro
We are going to tweak Services and Broadcast receiver menu

The major app that drains your battery on standby is Google Services and google framework. They wakes the phone every now and then.

Please head to Settings>>>Application>>>Application manager>>>>>Running apps.

You should see list of running apps looks for Google services. If it has more than 1 process and 1 services running then it has to be tweaked to stop those services and processes from running in background.

Well I wish people can actually see that the structure of Nigeria is not working and if we continue this way we are likely to collapse fully in near future. It's either power is decentralised or the country should divide peacefully.

If you doubt me put it on heavy use and the best you'll ever get won't go beyond 12 hours.


A real 6000mah battery will give you nothing less than 24 hours on heavy use.

How much your battery last depends on the user and the Rom.
For instance when I bought my Note 5 it takes me through 12 hours on heavy usage and I discovered how much battery drain I get while the phone is on standby which could go as high as 10% drain every hour I had to root and tweak the phone afterwards I have about 0.8% drain every hour on standby.
In all my battery now last over 20 hours on heavy usage while on light use it takes over 24 hours to drain completely.

So many wakelocks and background tasks can drain a 5000Mah battery in no time.
