PataAlhajaKeji: Olosho toto wey clean and neat pass your mama own.
You must be very dumb to think protesting, while blocking the Lekki-Epe expressway isn't an insurrection against the government and other law-abiding citizens. Their rights to peaceful protest shouldn't infringe on my right to freedom of movement. If you wanna protest, get a permit (as required by the law) from the government and protest in open spaces or parks not on a major road like the Lekki-Epe expressway.
Fool!
This is Buhari walking on the streets to protest fuel subsidy removal, 2012.
You aren't even a law abiding citizen, you're an online miscreant who threatened to kill and assault people for protesting against being killed an assaulted.
Enjoy Nigeria, I'm sure it will get very interesting in the next few years.
dalongjnr: Any one that comes out to protest should be arrested and persecuted. Were there rights starts and stopped that's where other's begins. The panel have passed their verdict to reopen the gate and if they feels disappointed, they should seek redress in a court of competent jurisdiction. The protesters doesn't even know that the law is a double edge sword. The protesters need a legal advisers.
SaintLucia: The worst hypocrisy of all is that those that want to burn Lagos go to their village during Christmas and speak Yoruba to each other to feel more important among their people. These are people that are nobody in their village but came to Lagos, succeeded and all their empty skulls could think is to burn the same Lagos that made them.
When rogues from NURTW were destroying Lagos you didn't open your smelling mouth
All the APC idiots won't see this thread but are ready to die over a tollgate that isn't even going to help cover the stinking gutters of their Isale Eko slum.
SaintLucia: The worst hypocrisy of all is that those that want to burn Lagos go to their village during Christmas and speak Yoruba to each other to feel more important among their people. This lie is old abeg
I hope you omo ales are ready to suffer for another 8 years?
Neddstark: I blame the government for not squashing the first protests earlier enough. Now any small thing protests, its going to start from there because the previous was successful.
epondudu: Why will it be better when the so-called youth killed policemen burned and looted private properties? The policemen that lost their lives are someone's father, brother, or someone's son...Nigeria shall be great.
You keep saying this but did the people shot at Lekki kill the policemen?
dat9jaguy: 1>The protest will surely be hijacked by hoodlums. 2>Closing the toll gate for protest is also depriving some people of their right to movement. 3>Covid 19 protocols. 4>500 people 'a job are on the line with the continued closure of the toll gate. Etc..
1>The police should focus on the hoodlums not the protesters 2>Parts of Lagos Island were closed today for Jakande's burial, Third Mainland has been closed since July you didn't complain about that 3>The government has held elections, rallies, weddings and other parties, however Covid-19 is being used as a weapon to clamp down on what the government doesn't like 4>And? People were killed at the tollgate, the government didn't care about jobs of striking academic or medical staff but are interested in the tollgate because of the money. If they wanted to open the bloody tollgate they should have prosecuted those responsible and concluded the investigation instead of holding sham trials
Magnoliaa: The painful part is, is this normal?? Should this be normal??
Why are they trying to curb people who are powerless the more? What exactly is the reason for this deterrent??
The police have been settled, the rich individuals who are invested in the tollgate have paid them to be hired thugs. This whole ENDSARS situ has shown me that Nigeria actually might not be salvageable and every reasonable person should migrate so it is allowed to die a peaceful death
HopeVictor: All those people calling me coward because I said we should forget about protest..If you don't go out tomorrow to protest then you know what you are..
And I don't have any RIP to waste either if anything should happen to anybody..
Why are you so ready to accept being killed?
This attitude is why the rest of the world still sees Africans as unserious people
You seems like "yahoo boy" haunting or paranoid by your past.
See this fool still having the mind to talk about English
You can easily formed your militias group to restore sanity hence you doubt the capability of Nigerian Armed Forces
We already have this, it's called Amotekun. Nnamdi Kanu started his own and the military is fighting them so what are you even saying?
The fact that there are still marauding bandits, Boko Haram and others shows the ineffectiveness of the armed forces. The fact that Amotekun and ESN even exist shows this.
The very soldiers you have been castigating are same people that you called to restore sanity in obalende motor park....You well so?
I called them
Aren't there numerous military buildings in that area? Is it not their jobs that they are doing?
You want me to kiss the ass of a soldier for doing the work he signed up for while shielding criminals and undermining the oath they took to uphold the law?
I must really stop here because it is clear your brain is not mature enough for this conversation.
alasane: English hard you oo "connive" or "connived"...Soldiers are product of society so they cannot be greater than the society they craved to serve. But remember their call to service is sacrifice hence you should NOT demean them in every slightest opportunity. They are human beings and therefore are susceptible to whims and caprices of the society as well. Encourage them if they do well, and bring their shortcomings to the fore if they erred...But your blanket criticism and ill mannered response speak volume about your upbringing
First it is connive you morōn, it's like what I said earlier about your English is still affecting your brain.
It's one thing to have a bad soldier, every military has bad soldiers, it's another thing to KILL POLICEMEN TO RESCUE KIDNAPPERS yet still be a serving soldier, among other crimes that are blatantly ignored by the military.
If the military was even a little bit sincere about upholding the law those men should have been executed immediately yet they were shipped abroad and the case was buried.
I'm asking soldiers to do the bare minimum of not committing and shielding criminals and you're questioning upbringing, I'm questioning your sanity!
People who act like animals don't need encouragement, if they can't do the bare minimum the least they should get is dismissal, many should be in jail to serve as examples to others. The military has ruled this country for most of it's independence and you're treated them like primary school children.
Grace001: It said it all.... That’s why Nigerian army can lie for Africa to cover up killings and misconduct because they were not ready for criticism then.
Why are they suddenly ready ? Believe this lying army at your own peril
Because they are seeing the rise of the Nnamdi Kanus and Sunday Igbohos, if the the now dormant MEND should jump into the mix they are in serious trouble.
They are afraid that the people will revolt and since every ethnic group has witnessed how badly they are fumbling they want to use the carrot approach rather than the stick to stop an angry population from violent conflict in addition to the Boko Haram threat.
You can start by treating the average Nigerian citizen like a human being and not an animal or the enemy.
Second is to stop wasting time waiting for terrorists and bandits to strike and actually look for them with the same vigour you searched for Sowore, Zakzaky and Kanu.
If nobody wants to join the army again enlist the locals in troubled areas for short contracts or even better, turn youth service into an actual military training instead of pointless marching and teaching ABC in Zamfara Islamic primary school.
alasane: Soldiers are NOT magician, since some of you connived with bandits and other miscreants in wreaking havoc in the name of freedom, then you must try to live with the attendant consequences. I am not a grammarian but your sentence is full of grammatical errors and expression,,(1) repetition of despite,(2) shoot or shot and many more....be wise and be warned
Soldiers who connive with kidnappers, bandits and fraudsters you mean?
They can't even hold themselves to the same standards as the civilians they proudly beat on the street.
Shove your warning up your ass, what are you going to do? Nonentity.
