BC is certainly having problem with the online results. The delays in displaying the results have continue for a long time these days. The bad aspect of it is that they ain't giving any explanation let alone tendering any apology. Heard that people besieged their office today with this same complain. No explanation except that they have today dispatched the hard copies of the results and the candidates should await that before the end of the week.

So if you re one of those concerned, know that its a general problem, be calm and wait for the hard copy. The online own might still display later. No one can tell when

The academics in my uni were captured just two weeks ago. I wouldn't know how they made the arrangement but it's either that Ippis just came on their own or the school invited them. Come see how they were rushing the Ippis.

You people should ask questions o, to know the arrangement for fresh capturing

Sacramento85:
Your cases are different. I foolishly refused to be captured, ippis have told us they won't pay us thus month. no problem, we go survive. or do u know any lecturer that got paid but was not captured in November?

Can't anyone here see that the OP either didn't even read through what he posted or is just being mischievous. The said notice made reference to exams scheduled April/May, telling you that its indeed an old outdated notice perhaps wrote in April when lockdowns were been imposed. That suspension only subsists only during the lockdown periods. Just go ahead and book your tests

Hello House,

I've spent hours reading and also gone through the ACS page. I want to do my skills assessment with ICT Security Specialist 262112, I'm a bit confused however on their payment evidence; Can I just send evidence for the first and last month of each year or am I supposed to send proof for all the months? The narrations on my salary payments did not include my employer's name.

Also, my total work experience is 4 years, 9 months. Can I claim 5 years or should I wait till I clock 5 calendar years??
As others above have highlighted, the ICT assessment can't fly with your degree and limited yrs of experience. Why not list your job description, maybe there's a way to align it with any occupation under engineering? It's really not about the occupation you fancy or wants to build on now, but just about what can get you an ITA.

If the right occupation is settled, you can go ahead applying, and not waiting till you clock 5yrs. Your experience yrs will continue counting after the assessment.

EducationRe: Fg Refused To Pay Minimum Wage To University Workers by farnet: 9:49am On Mar 14, 2020
Sorry, it seems the minimum wage is already implemented. To some, it will be an increment while to some others, a decrement. It all depends on the allowances being previously incorporated in the salaries by the individual institution. Some like harzard allowances aint paid by fg, supposed to be paid from school igr. So, if paid together with salary, just know its been discarded n won't be calculated. Tax also is been deducted 100%

So you mean the 10k increment I got is not the minimum wage abi?

Na wa o!
Its no minimum wage, and its no increment. They didn't just deduct one or two of your normal deductions like cooperative contribution or any loan taken. They will start those deductions in subsequent payments.

RomanceRe: She Is Pregnant With Twins But I Honestly Don't Want To Marry Her. by farnet: 1:00am On Jul 07, 2019
@sirdouglas
I never bothered reading stories here ,let alone commenting, but I'm somehow pushed to drop just a few line.
She's someone's sister, daughter and mother to be, yes, but you shouldn't take the full fall of the mistake if u don't want to. You have at least shown your humanity by accepting responsibility and have n still willing to take care of it even without the paternity test. Her family should take her in, its their responsibility in the first place to hv kept her sleeping n living with you. Marriage is something u shld enter into freely not out of pity or by compelling circumstances or cajoling. Its not anything biblical (as someone said )that u must marry her cos she's pregnant for you.
As its not of your will to marry her, I'm not seeing any need going for iku aka or ime ego. That will be complicating issues. You don't even need that to claim the kids.
Legally as well as morally, you have not committed any crime, n u re recognised as the father of the kids, n ur obligation is to take care of their upkeep n education. Every other thing will be out of your human compassion.
You re not any monster as some people will like to label you or as u may feel. You have just like any other young man made your mistakes. Don't go living it. Do the best you can do for the mother too n fear not any future repercussion of not marrying her.

It does very much because it diverts traffic off this thread/section and the thread struggles to grow. Many threads in this section takes about 6months to hit 500 + pages but this one and many others with this whatsapp group issues take more than a year to get to even 200 pages.
If its about traffic, im afraid u have got a huge load of work to do. Your major threat is WhatsApp n telegram groups. There re tens of them, n the drivers have the links in their signatures n also frequently drop it in the thread calling for sign ups. As it is here, so it is in the Canny thread.
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by farnet: 4:29pm On Jul 06, 2019
@justwise, you really picked up this post for us to judge. I am not on nairaland then to know what transpired, but one thing I know is that one cant judge posts like that in isolation. You will need to get the whole posts as at that time for one to understand the premise, import and the context. I want to believe that anything that might have happened was out of goodwill, putting the people 1st, making things easier.
There's been some efforts here likewise as to creating telegram n WhatsApp groups. The groups in fact already exists. I have maintained they can't be better than this thread here, n would have preferred everything about this subject of oz migration discussed here. But this doesn't say I wont personally vote for any improved, easier n convenient system, nairaland or entirely new system.I won't be pretentious about it. This platform we undoubtedly love, but convenience n simplicity, we humans cant do without. Upgrading or some changes for improved services is yes a subject that needs discussion

I will plead that we all esp @ justwise n @bellong, let go all these fusses. If not for anything, for the people in that thread looking up to u our ogas. Even if a rule is indeed flouted, laws are made to serve the people. I believe people can ask for any desirable outcome like they asked for the release of a known criminal barabas. We the people here therefore apologizes for any untoward, insulting, disrespectful, belittling, comments n posts made by and against anybody, and plead that we all sheath our swords, forgive n forget n let the thread move forward. We also unanimously beg u @ justwise to let go n unban bellong for the sake of us here. No one is yes indispensable, but we just need every good hand n head here. This thread is very critical in many ways to make a single mistake.
AdvertsRe: Response To Ad by farnet: 8:40am On Jul 06, 2019
Wow!. I was typing this post below but sleep knocked me off b4 i could post it. I need not say more again.

The fact of bellong flouting the rules is even a subject of adjudication in the 1st instance. In his post just after he was unbanned to come n delete the said ad, that's b4 this latest ban, he raised some defense lines which seems logical. The said rule in contest may afterall be ambiguous, subject to different interpretations n may not have captured his alleged wrongdoing. That post was immediately deleted , otherwise we could HV critically look at it and then judge. That's by the way.
My grudge is about the poor management of the issue. It seems like a bottled anger n like one waiting for an opportunity to do away with someone. Even if to the least in a group or organisation, a disciplinary action always comes after a query with this usual line "...this is the case against you, you have so so grace time to tell us why a disciplinary action should not be taken against you". By his person n contributions here, he in the least, deserves such n much more respect. Then come again the effort as to belittling his contributions and the person he has become to us here. For the sake of the people here, he came back to do what he was asked to.

Yeah, its quite risky sending someone. I've decided to go pick it from their office.
The representative cannot fill the refund form on your behalf. It would be included in the envelope containing your EOR so you can get it later, fill and send through courier to their office.

Original receipt- Did you not raise a bank draft?
Yes, its bank draft, the receipt is the advice copy of the bank draft nah. I'm with mine

It also mentioned a form to fill to process d refund if d score changes. My question is if d person I will send can also sign d said form. They also said they will need d original payment receipt. Wrote PTE, superior English.

My Breakdown:

Age: 30yrs
English: PTE superior
ACS assessment: positive result
Education: MSc
Experience: 7+yrs

What do you think will be my best bet??

I just want to leave this Country!!!
If you are currently at your same job as assessed, I understand your 7 yrs + experience will automatically updated at your start work anniversary. At the clock of 8 yrs, your work exp point will increase from 10 to 15, translating to 80 total points 189, 85 190, n 90 489. I think its what you can look at.

I'm still an undergrad in this course, our profs dem can vet this info/ advice
TravelRe: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by farnet: 9:24am On Jun 07, 2019
And here I have been hoping to grab partner's point. But no thanks to vetassess. Wyf has bsc microbiology from a state uni. So i hv read that vetassess can't give +ve outcome not minding any yrs of experience gained. And I HV turned to say ok , all things being equal, things will fall in place when she will be getting her MSC cert by 1st quarter next yr, they also appeared saying that the experience they count is post qualification thereby rendering her experience zero, n thus, no +he outcome . so, no point from there even if we re to be patient. This I understand. Or is there any headway house? Is this 4yrs naija uni bsc issue general with all assessing body?

My Ielts of l8r9w7s7 is a target score for canny brethrens but here our goal I knw shld be 8888. That to me o is a tall order. And no, Pte isn't for my kind. Their format I can't deal. Hesitation is my 2nd nature, no cure. Can't flow by any prompt even in my native language. So for now, my point will stand at 75 for 489, electrical engr ( working on EA assessment still). Any hope in this route ? What does d nearest future holds?

Thanks Oga Belong for bringing us this far.

I believe soon a lot of people will realise what this man has done I our generation. I can't wait to meet you in person sir Belong
I would think telegram group is a very bad idea, kind of proliferation as known with us Nigerians. It can't also be anywhere close to this beautiful thread we re enjoying here in terms of pagination n other flavours. Its lyk a flowing river, the kind that drives too much repetition s n redundancy of info n discussions. My take though, but will like to be seeing every activity here. Haven't seen any drawback here to warrant dividing n migrating info n people. Or is it anythn about an ego of building or administering a group?
