After logging into my account this morning, i was greeted with a message from afternice that my domain qualified for a fast transfter and that I can transfer the domain to some underlisted registrar, I dont fully understand this. On Brandpa you actually submit names without paying anything (unlike brandbucket that demand for 1$ before even looking at the name). You are asked to pay a listing fee of 5$ per domain (covering cost of logo design, marketing of the domain, etc) when they have reviewed and accepted the name you submitted. You spend $5 on every domain you list on Brandpa while brandbucket charge about $11 ($1 for review and $10 for listing).

From what you said...... It seems your developer may actually own the domain you chasing snd could play you big time. Just my opinion thus.

I have no experience on this domain business. The gurus here may have much better input.

On a second thought, my developer, who seems to be very keen on the project as requested that we ignore the other domain for now and focus on building and promoting the website to the fullest, after which one can purchase the other domain when this one starts to pay off. Don't know how long this would take but the website would b on by this time next month if we stay on course

but I'm thinking this might not be too good as it seems to me like giving the owner of the other domain a big reason to hike his/her price as much as possible or do you guys think I shouldn't bother about it like he said. Please kindly advice on this.

Let me chip something in about the pricing, I have never use brand bucket,and I don't think I would in foresable future,I just join the brandabke trend and I register on brandpa, I submitted couple of names but only two were accepted,there is tolerance for you to reprice your name subject only to the brandpa team accepting your new price..
The first name my price was rejected..
Listed at $2399 tried to upnto $4999 but they stretched the price to $2899
Second name was accepted for $2199. But I was able to increase the price to $4999..

And they replied conveying their acceptance at a suggested price of $1,895.
Going by the prices of 7L .com domains I see on their site I was expecting over $5k.
So what do you think, is 1895 ok?
