Folks I am in the same boat with Befto with respect to my project. I have made up my mind to combine POP, ceiling screeding with cornices for the ground floor. And also combine POP and PVC for the first floor. However I just got a new idea but I am not sure if anybody have used this is naija before. In my present house my ground floor ceiling was done using what my builder called knockdown paint. It is a powdery paint that is water based. It is normally prayed on smoothly finished ceiling surface. See some of the pictures attached. This is the ground floor ceiling for my present house. Please can I get this in Lagos? Do we have artisans who know how to do this in Lagos?

I agree with your post; Its better to do things with a clear conscience.

On the other hand, in his case, l agree that parking space wont be an issue.
The sticking point is if/whether his Engineers can SAFELY ADJUST the Structural drawings to cater for the increased LOAD!
if they can do that without endangering the lives of others, l think he should just do another drawing (or get a similar one from what is already available), make the ground floor to represent "parking space" (for approval purposes) and get it approved...while building it fully as occupied space, ... on ground.

My builder said the structural drawings can be redrafted for additional load. I don't mind spending more to do the foundation properly for the additional load it will carry.

Total cost of doors is N1, 346, 000. The total number of doors is 54. This comprises of 22pcs of 2.5ft of China metal doors, 24 pcs of 3ft China metal door, 4 pcs of 4ft China metal door, 2 pcs of 3ft Walnut Turkey Security doors and 2 pcs of 4 ft Walnut Turkey Security door.

Please I need some advice from you.
I am building quite close to your site near LASU first gate and was thinking of adding a Pent house to my project.
The pent house will be a 3 bedroom flat but someone has advised me to consider using the Pent for 3 self-contained rooms to generate more rental income.
What do you think? will the 3 bedroom flat be more profitable than 3 self-contained rooms?
