I see that the stop rate for 364 days tenure is 19.63% for yesterday auction.
I gave instruction to bid at 19.5%. Can someone explain if banks bid specifically for each individual or have a général bid for everyone? I am just trying to seek and understand as my bank has not reach out to me for feedback on my bid. I used GTB for my TB investment.

I got 18.9% secondary market rate for March 12 2026 maturity date. I think it is a good rate as I don't want to waste time till the next primary market auction on April 23rd. This rate is from IBTC.

says who?😁

Any SIM linked to any of my financial accounts and other important things of high priority has simlock activated. Anytime the phone powers off and is back on you must input the SIM’s pin after unlocking the phone with passcode.

Stealing my phone, you are left with a brick because it can never be used except you know my activation lock details which leaves you with only one option to profit from it, which is to salvage it for spare parts.

My sim without knowing its PINCODE is just a useless chip.
Can you please describe how to activate sim lock? Thanks
PoliticsRe: FG To Begin Home Delivery Of Passports Soon – Aregbesola by fash78(m): 3:04pm On May 21, 2023
It is a mystery to me why those who are renewing their Nigeria passport still need to physically go to Immigration office for capturing (biometric). This is truly the road block and why it is taking forever to renew Nigeria passport. I really need someone to educate me why this is so in Nigeria. I have renewed my Canadian passport at least once and my kids a couple of times. Each time, I only fill the application forms in the comfort of my home, send the form to passport office with my payment details while I wait for the passport to be mailed back to me (average of 6 weeks). I have Jamaican friends who told me their country have similar process to Canada for passport renewal. They do not need to visit their Country embassy or high commission before renewing their passport. I am not sure there are other countries using the same approach as Nigeria whereby for passport renewal you need to be physically present for data capturing/biometrics again. Please I need to be educated why this is so for our country.

This is the timeliness for my prospective employee.
- Her application was received in Edmonton March 2020.
- She received her temporary application number by email April 2021.
- She received AOR and permanent application number August 2021 and she has been able to link her application to IRCC online account through GCKey.
One thing is sure, this pilot HCCP program processing is damn slow. 2019 and 2020 applicants are still awaiting approval so if you are just applying know that you have to be patient. As it stands it seems 2.5 years is the average processing time.

@fash 78,thanks for your post on this forum and every other person.please I need more information wrt requirements needed by my potential employer (brother )what should he start with please? Kindly email me on truelyglow@gmail.com when it’s convenient please.help a sisterThanks
The first step for your employer is to check if he qualifies (from income perspective) to employ you. I have provided info on this thread on how to use LICO - Low Income Cutoff to assess your qualification (please check the pages of this thread). After that, all what you need from him (your employer) is a contract document (get the template from the HCP application package on CIC website) that you will include in your application package.

Please oo this childcare training must it be obtained from those academy. I have done one online childcare and nannying short course from reed.uk...

Hope someone can use it to prove he/she can do the job. Thank you
It is not compulsory to get trained from those 2 schools I mentioned before. Whatever training or certification you want to bring forward just ensure it is good enough and will be accepted. I have used workforce solution before and I know someone who also sent his sibling to nanny academy. I suggested these two schools based on my prior experience with them but you can go anywhere to do the training.

This program is different. They don’t have to continue to work for their employer if it’s not a good fit. They can work for another employer as long as it’s the same NOC. However after they get PR after 2 years they have the full benefits of PR and can change profession if they want.
You have said it all. While I am not disputing the fact that we have evil people everywhere, no one can abuse anybody and go scot free in this part of the world especially if you have evidence. My brother, this is not naija o. In addition as @pleasant19 mentioned, with this new pilot program the nanny is not tied to one employer. If your direct employer fires you, you can look for another employer.

I have another question. I have all the necessary credentials except the certification in Child care and first aid. My certification in Child care is going to be concluded in January 2021. Does this mean after that is when I can submit all my applications as required or I submit the ones i have and then tender a certification when asked for it
Please ensure you have everything ready before submitting your application.

One more question please, would the employer have to merge his individual account with a new business accounting to be created, or just open a separate new business account with CRA. Please note that this employer's only source of income is still through employment as an employee and not a business owner.
Thank you very much ma.
There is a difference between having a CRA account and having CRA business number. For instance I have CRA account through which I can directly communicate to CRA and access some personal CRA documents e.g. notice of assessment, tax refund information e.t.c. Almost everybody should have CRA account. On the other hand, you will need CRA business number if you are a sole proprietor or in a partnership and you require what the CRA referes to as “Program Accounts” e.g. GST/HST, or payroll accounts to track source deductions for yourself and all employees you have. I have my personal CRA account and I have a sole proprietary business number. I didn't have to open a new business account. I hope this helps.

chlowi:
good evening. Please how much does the entire process cost ?
If you review the link that I sent earlier you will see the breakdown of the cost for application process but I will help to break it down here.
Note the $ is Canadian dollar (CAD).
- Nanny application fee including right of permanent residency - $1600
- If the nanny has a spouse and he or she will be included in the application, that is another $1600
- For each dependent child, you will pay additional $150
- Biometric fee for a family ($170) or per person ($85)
- Work permit fee per person ($150)

Other costs based on experience:
- Credentials evaluation through WES - $220
- Childcare training (if you do not have one before) - N355K from Workforce Solution Lagos
- First aid / CPR training - N20K
- Obtaining your degree transcripts and courier to WES - cost will vary from school to school but courier cost is ~ N15K per transcript
- IELTS exam (nanny and the spouse) - N150K

So assuming the following:
- A nanny, his/her spouse and a child are included in the application
- One transcript sent to WES for evaluation
- You all have your naija passport already
- Exchange rate of $1 to N300

You are looking at a total cost of ~ N1.8M for just the application processing.

If God answer your call and you all obtain work permit and PR. You then need to worry about flight tickets.

Did your sister have to register with Red Cross or get any certification from them?
Well not compulsory but it is a plus. One of my two sisters actually joined red cross before she applied for her nanny visa. She also completed her first aid and CPR training with Red Cross. Did it help? Probably yes because her visa was approved.
I have seen other folks who got their nanny work permit approved without being a member of red cross so I don't think it really matters.
What matters is getting your First Aid / CPR training done with a reputable organization and making sure you include your training certificate in your work permit / PR application.

Thanks for all the information. Can a woman with children apply? Would she and the kids be given visas?
Yes. The new pilot program for Home Childcare Provider actually provides an awesome opportunity for the nanny to bring their spouse and dependent
children to Canada in one application.

Hello dear thanks for your prompt response. Please I would like to know about the salary range an employer can have to employ a caregiver from outside Canada and do they need to have a business account for the employment? Waiting for, our response thank you.
Even though they didn't specify the minimum earning for employer applying to hire a nanny, there is a guideline for this on CIC website. What the IRCC agent will use to determine your eligibility as an employer with respect to your earning is LICO - Low Income Cut Off. You will need to go through the LICO list and determine your household threshold based on thr total number of person living with you. Let me give you an example calculation:
- Your total declared household income based on your T4 - assume $60970
- LICO for 5 (i.e 5 people in your household) - $43,791
- Projected annual salary of caregiver based on the contract your are offering - assume $20,592
To determine if IRCC agent will approve your nanny sponsorship application based on your earning:
$60970 - $43791 - $20592 = - $3414

You application will be refused based on your earning - you have a shortfall.

To get accurate LICO thresholds based on year and population of your location, visit the link below:

https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/t1/tbl1/en/tv.action?pid=1110024101

As per your last question, yes as employer you must have business account with CRA. This is how you will be able to remit deductions from your nanny salary to CRA.

For everyone that has reached out to me with this same question/request, my response is no I can't help to look for employers who need nanny. Your best bet is to look for someone you know in Canada (families or friends) who need child care services or know someone who does.

TravelRe: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by fash78(m):
Guys please use the link that I posted earlier and read up about the application process. Then come back and ask any specific questions about the application process you need clarity on. Please note that I do not have time to spoon feed anybody. Read-up first and ask questions. The first step after securing an employer in Canada is to register for your IELTS exam and pass it. In parallel you need to complete your credentials assessment by WES (World Education Services). Note that WES will require your transcripts to be sent directly to them by your institution. This is one of the bottle necks of this application process.
Also go and complete your childcare/healthcare diploma course. I know of two places offering this training in Lagos. I have used one of these two places for my two sisters so I can only vouch for one - Workforce Training Solution. The second school is called The Nanny Academy https://www.thenannyacademy.com
Please contact any of these two schools that work for you for the nanny course/training.
I hope this helps.
TravelRe: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by fash78(m): 4:59pm On Aug 05, 2020
I have done this for two of my sisters. One is already Canadian PR under the old live in caregiver path. Mt second sister's application is in progress under the new nanny path which will qualify her for open work permit and Canadian PR after 2 years. I can help to answer questions for those who are interested in doing this having gone through the old process and the new process.
These are some critical points for success:
1. You must have someone Canadian PR or Citizen who is qualified and willing to employ you as a nanny.
2. You must have Language tests results showing a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or equivalent.
3. You must have one year of Canadian post-secondary education or the foreign equivalent;
4. Proven experience as a nanny
5. Show that you have qualification and training in childcare including Firstaid, CPR.

Please review this link from IRCC on the process for home childcare provider application:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-foreign-worker/in-home-caregiver.html
You can also review the forum below. You will be able to read about this program and experience of people who have applied world wide.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/home-childcare-provider-pilot-2019.642381/page-122

In my opinion, this is the easiest way for folks to help their family and friends to come to Canada so far they are willing to sacrifice 2 years of working as a nanny.
So for anyone interested let me know how I can help.
