^ ^ na only you talk true jare ![]() Reducing the salary of senators ain't a days job let alone adequate infrastructural facilities. Don't ask me what I will do ooo ![]() |
Over the weekend, we had our aunt around(who is 70+) and it was as though we had a child around. Taking care of her wasn't an easy task as it was like taking care of an infant but what makes it worse is that she claims to know what she is doing unlike the infant who just allows you do everything for it without interference. I'm relieved now that she's gone. Indeed the saying that 'from childhood to adulthood, and from adulthood back to childhood' is true. Don't know who else agrees that the aged truly behave like children. |
Prevention is better than cure. Though unfair but if allowed unchecked, they will multiply, dominate & then be influnced by the extremists & then they will have serious issues to deal with. I see it as foresight |
RIP But how come no news on the female banker arrested who was said to have had an affair with him before he died ![]() Just asking cos I saw that on the dailies this morning |
Pure injustice!!! Sheer robbery!! If the fault was on th part of south africa, it would have been understandable but for spain to lose & yet were the culprits & fifa decides to do this... I loose hope! Nonesense. |

Yea, we have heard but why not come out with proof instead of repeatedly making reference to 'the strange object that pierced his heart'. Well you may be right cos I do not trust this Govt one bit. But please let the strike be called off first before you start crying wolf. Enough of all the delay |

I boarded a BRT bus over the weekend and so did this young man & his blind brother. When the seats were all occupied, a standing passenger leaned on the blind boy who was sitting on his brothers lap in the bus and this raised eyebrows. To my disgust, the passenger saw nothing wrong in his actions, claiming it was tight in the bus and so he didn't have an option & even picked a fight with the brother of the blind boy and whosoever was against him. It would have been better if this passenger was alone in his folly but to my dismay few passengers were on his side, saying 'after all its a public bus & we all paid the same fare'. It turned into a heated arguement in the bus and while all this was going on, my gaze was on this poor boy, probably 11 or 12 years of age but there was no expression on his face.. None at all. I tried to imagine what must have been going through his mind and how he must have felt at that moment. Was this outright discrimination the norm in his world that he has grown up to accept as part of life? Or was he fed up with it but trying to contain his emotions? Yet, he was calm but moments after decorum was maintained in the bus, I noticed tears roll down this poor boys eyes. I had to fight tears from rolling down my eyes as well. It was very touching. This is an appeal to those who have no regard to the less priviledged amongst us and show them no sympathy. Please have a change of heart as they have a lot to deal with already psychologically. If you cannot be of help to them in anyway possible, at least do not compound their woes. And to that fellow in the bus that day. May God forgive you |
A serious issue indeed. Waiting eagerly for the 'elders' to come thrash this out. @ op. Mehn.. You have really tried. For you to seek advice gives the impression that irrespective of being starved, you haven't looked outside. Hope I'm guessing right |
You are holding onto what doesn't exist. Let go and get a life dear |
![]() I honestly don't see the relevance of these agberos cos the little chap might have still been alive if not for their presence & as for the police force..their case is a story for another day. RIP kiddos |
Yea,so many facts in this piece & yea,we nigerians know all this but what can the ordinary man do about this The usual trend is for us to complain & then conform. Its high time we not only state the obvious but in stating it, profer a solution to it |
bright007: Naija,i hail thee.Someone steals N28,000 worth of goods and bags N100,000 as bail fees while others stealExactly my thoughts too.. Indeed, naija I hail thee |
Gwekzy: What about. 'ASUU may call off strike today' which was displayed through out yesterday on Channels TV...Channels TV also heightened the hopes of many with that info. So so annoying ![]() |
Davo93: ASUU is now biting than they can shew... We understand you lost your member but our life should not be at the receiving end. Afterall, a lot of students have been terminated in course of this strike.#so on point |
If ASUU had made a statement about the 7-days mourning, all this wouldn't have happened. Don't know why they choose to keep everyone in the dark & cause all this raised hopes in the first place ![]() |
Came across this & decided to share it here. Don't know why some unscrupulous elements choose to spread rumours by opening a false twitter account & misleading millions of Nigerians.SMH ASUU strike: Union confirms NEC meeting did not hold today By Phillip Eta on November 16, 2013 Dr. Olusegun Ajiboye, the chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, in the University of Ibadan, has confirmed that stories which made the rounds on Saturday, that the National Executive Council, NEC, would hold an emergency meeting in Kano, were false. Ajiboye was speaking in an interview on Diamond FM, University of Ibadan and stated that no meeting was scheduled for today, as they were still in the middle of a seven-day morning, which was declared in honour of the late Professor Festus Iyayi, a former national chairman of the Union. It would be recalled that Iyayi lost his life in a fatal crash, on his way to Bayero University, Kano, where members of ASUU were to meet and reach a final decision, on whether to continue with the strike or accept the federal government’s offer. Indeed the Governor's convey is a very reckless one. 2 years in office & 4 accidents already. This should serve as a warning to all those thieves that intimidate & monopolize the roads just because they are passing with convoy. He deserved to be chased away & this matter should not be allowed to die down just like that |
iyatrustee: where all thoseYou badt gan ![]() |
