ojuu4u: Thank God u re a club type, u can see how small guys of 16- 21 spend money on expensive wines and girls.......WHR did they get the money....... 21 yrs old spend 350k a night in a club? Oga stop living in denial I don't go to club house..... I'm trying to let you know that some young folks here in Nigeria are making legit money Spending such money in a night does not mean he or she spends it everyday... 350k is someone's basic salary minus allowance offshore... A 26 year Second Engineer onboard a ship *Name withheld* is earning 2.6 Million Naira monthly So change your mentality oga.... No allow poverty dey play mind games with you Goodbye |

ojuu4u: Better. Younger boys dnt want to work (sweat) again yet they want to leave like someone in directorate cadre , most teenage girls have become runs girls . party! party!! party!!! Day and Night. Night-clubs bombarded all capital cities in Nigeria, to me, night clubs are meant for men who have sweat/ laboured and not boys (21years old guy carrying 3 girls in the club for 3some WHR did he get the money? if not fraud, stealing and ritual). Our cultures have been completely eroded. They don't want to sweat yet they want luxury of life..What an irony. You have to let go this mentality.... Some young guys are making legit money in Nigeria... 'Cos I go to club to dance, buy drinks and ease off the stress means I'm not fraud or rituals? Gosh!!! |

nobodytestme: No CCTV, No finger print or DNA scans,no database , no forensic department.. A technologically deficient country, and you expect the police to solve this, with what. ?
Of course we will call God to fish out the killers, that is what we do best in Nigeria, carry religion for head like dada, while countries are developing and advancing technologically.
A rookie in FBI would solve this case in 3 days tops, with just the ladies call log on her phone, the prints on the dead girls body , or even run the plates, if the killer came with a car.. “ Too much watching CSI” or “ Criminal minds” i guess , but it’s the truth..
Unfortunately we have none of the above here, but we do what we do best, go religious and call on God to fish out the killer/ killers and punish them..
Containers keep falling on cars everyday at apapa, lives are being lost .A simple check by those in charge and it will be reduced to the barest minimum, its not rocket science ,but no,we go religious.. let’s continue No be for here dem born Jesus (In Burna Boy's Voice) |

SniperSmurf: 1. The killer apparently strangles his victims to death.
2. He prefers young girls
3. He performs his dastardly acts in Motels around and in PH
4. He usually leaves the girls in state of UnCloth
5. His killings are fairly frequent suggesting he has a time table.
6. He doesnt bother to even hide the corpses.
With the above the Police should be able to put together a profile of this heartless psycho. (1) I'm telling you... His Fingerprints should be all over the cadaver.. (2) What about the call logs from the victim's phone? (Service provider can provide this even when the phone is not available) (3) CCTV? I think most motels do not have this (The Hospitality body should make it mandatory for all hotels to have CCTV at the reception) (4) The receptionist can describe how the suspect looks like (I've seen in crime documentaries where police sketch from description which aid in their investigation) |

Logobenz3: The bolded is not true!!
You are contradicting yourself, Because from your explanation, Their vessel was just a floating coffin
What happened was COMATRANS had 4 vessels but was plaqued with incompetence since the owner decided to fire all the expatriates running it and started training his tribesmen to run that vessel.
I hope you know about cabotage law?
When a vessel changes her flag from a foreign flag to their country flag, It is mandated that your crew onboard should man most of the positions onboard (Transfer of manpower/knowledge must have taken place before the expatriate's contract ended)
Their first disaster happened in Gabon where all crew left their ship unattended to and improperly berthed to go and flex in town as big ballers wey dem be It floated away to a restricted water and when the navy of that country radioed them, there was no response. It was shot down!first loss.
Incompetence of the crew side
Second loss was their shining star Brenda Colette that caught fire right in a jetty due to flammable cargo. I can't blame them for that.
I will blame the crew, The captain has the right to reject or accept any cargo brought onboard and stow it properly to avoid damage or fire!!
Third loss was due to overload, the vessel did not even move an inch from the wharf and began sinking immediately right there infront of everyone.
I hope you know about "Load line" of a vessel? Who loads cargo on a vessel without taking load line into consideration?
I head here now,the owner bankrupt(I know him personally) decided to borrow small money to rehabilitate the oldest of his fleet(Austrheim) to help him raise money for a better vessel which has now sank.
I think it is improper crew that wrecked this company because when the Senegalese crew were still there(captain Kahn to be precise),they never had a single incident for more than 13 years.
Yeah there were there for 13 years.... But was the boat maintained as when due after they left?
Really sad men. |
Travel › Re: Austrheim Sinks: Disaster At Sea, Sad Day For Nigerian Businessmen & Travellers by fashrola(m): 11:26am On Aug 27, 2019 |
PatrickOkunima: This could have been avoided. I thought the maritime industry's strictly regulated. The Maritime Industry is strictly regulated, But the ships plying local routes get off with it because NIMASA is not beaming their radar towards them, because they do not make money to satisfy their greed. More strictness is applied to vessels working with IOCS (Like Total, ExxonMobil, Addax, Chevron), In short before your vessel is hired by these companies, their superintendent will carry out a comprehensive inspection before hiring and most be compliant with the latest technology Most of the ship carrying goods and passengers from Calabar to Cameroun are outdated ships with lot of defects and some are over due for dry docking.... I can never step onboard such ships because there are floating coffin on water |
Travel › Re: Austrheim Sinks: Disaster At Sea, Sad Day For Nigerian Businessmen & Travellers by fashrola(m): 11:19am On Aug 27, 2019 |
An investigation should be carried out on this vessel to avoid another accident of such...
They main cause of such accident at sea could be the following:
1. Incompetent Crew 2. Faulty Steering gear system (But there's always an emergency steering gear system in case the main one fails) 3. Crew Fatigue (I guess this company does not run a proper crew rotation system like other Nigerian maritime firm) 4. Loss of Main Engine/Generator Powering naviational aids/Steering System 5. Outdated/Faulty Navigational Aids
When a ship runs aground, especially in a rocky area, it pierce the hull (Old vessel like this might be plying Nigerian waters with a single hull) and you have water ingress, When you do not have a working bilge pump... Then there's a grave danger to personnel and passenger onboard.
If the above opinion happened, I will blame it on the captain because you have to put a distress call to all vessel nearby, launch your life-raft and all passengers will disembark the vessel.
The company should be fined heavily and management imprisoned |
