Kanye West gave his wife Kim Kardashian stock certificates worth hundreds of thousands, for Christmas.

The reality TV queen, 37, took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to show off her presents which included stocks from Disney, Adidas, Netflix, Amazon and Apple .

Kim revealed the Wall Street gems, saying,

‘Okay, so for one of my Christmas presents from Kanye he gives me this little box with a Disney Mickey toy, Apple headphones, Netflix, Amazon gift cards and Adidas socks.
‘But then I open the next box and it is stock to Amazon, where he got the gift card, stock to Netflix, stock to Apple where he got the headphones, Adidas stock and Disney stock.’

He bought 920 shares of Disney, which were valued just short of $100,000 as of Tuesday afternoon; and 995 Adidas shares, which were worth nearly $169,000.

According to a Twitter user, @Ama_Qamata, a strict dad ordered his son to write ‘I will never hit a woman in my life especially my sister’ 500 times, as a way of punishing him for injuring his sister in a fight.

Residents of Jos on Saturday decried the poor services by banks as many automated teller machines (ATM) in the metropolis failed to dispense cash to frustrated customers on long queues.

Some of the stranded customers, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos, expressed disappointment at the failure of many bank ATMs to dispense cash.

NAN observed that no fewer than 20 customers were seen clustering round various ATM points waiting to withdraw money.

The bank customers attributed the inability of many of the ATMs machines to dispense cash to network problem and accused bank managements of inadequate arrangements to avert the situation.

Mr Alfred Ibrahim, a businessman, said he was on the ATM queue at Beach road in Jos North for more than four hours, lamenting that most of the ATMs were not working.

He said that bank managements were aware of the usual bottlenecks at the ATM points during festive periods and ought to have made good provision for easy access to withdrawals.

“I was expecting the banks to make adequate preparations for this season but out of five machines in a bank, none is even dispensing cash; that is why there are longer queues where they are operational,” he explained.

Mr Chijioke Okpara, a civil servant, said he went to the ATM at Stefans Rayfield at about 5 a.m. and still met bdozens of people on the queue.

“I went to the ATM around 5 a.m. and left around 8.45 a.m. I just wonder why banks would not ensure all their machines are working and have enough cash, “he said.
Mrs Josephine Dawak, a civil servant, told NAN at an ATM at Secretariat Junction in Jos South that the banks were making deliberate efforts to reduce spending during the Yuletide season.

“They tell us if you are not withdrawing above N100,000, do not come to the banking hall, yet they are hoarding money for the machines when they should all be operational, ” she said.
Mr Ibrahim Isa, who was on transit to another local government, said he had visited several ATMs and was unable to withdraw money due to the long queues.

““I am stranded now for lack of funds to continue my journey, I am coming from Abuja going to Mangu Local Government Area, I have been on my feet without food for more than four hours.
“I came to Terminus, thinking it would be easier but to my dismay, the crowd here is intimidating, you cannot be allowed to withdraw for emergency reasons because everyone is tired of standing, “he said.
NAN reports that many customers blamed bank managements for not adequately stuffing their ATMs with enough cash during the festive period.

“Bank officials knew well that cash is always in high demand during this time and more so salaries have just been paid, so they should have made enough cash available at ATMs,” said a bank customer.
All efforts by NAN to speak with officials of the various banks proved abortive as they all refused to comment.

Tragedy struck on the evening of Friday, December 22, after a gunman opened fire on a community square holding a Christmas carol at Nindem village axis in Godogodo district, Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

The attack claimed four lives while eight others were injured.

Spokesman for Operation Safe Haven, Colonel IK Ekpeyong, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the gunman invaded Godogodo village as the residents were holding a carol at the community square at about 9 pm, shooting sporadically, and in the process, killed four persons and injured eight others, Channels Television reports.

He disclosed that the bodies have been deposited in a mortuary while the eight wounded persons were taken to the Kafanchan general hospital for treatment.

He also added that some people suspected to be masterminds of the attack have been arrested for further interrogation, while more troops have been deployed to the area to avert a fresh attack or reprisal.

On Monday, December 18, Police arrested 27-year-old high school math teacher, Jennifer Danielle Olajire-Aro, after a 17-year-old student came forward to say she had had sex with him several times.

According to an affidavit, Aro who lives and works in South Carolina, engaged in “an intimate and sexual relationship with her 17-year-old male student” on three occasions between November and December at her residence and other locations in Charleston.

The student told another teacher about the sexual encounters and that teacher reported what the student said to school administration, the affidavit said.

The matter was reported to authorities who arrested Olajire-Aro. She ultimately admitted to having a sexual relationship with the 17-year-old on three occasions between November and December at her home and other locations in Charleston. Aro faces one count of sexual battery in Charleston, S.C.

At her bond hearing, the victim’s mother spoke out, calling Aro a “hellacious person,”. She said:

“He is 17, 17. He is not an adult. … Emotionally, he is not ready for this. I’m not ready for the texts, the phone calls, the comments,” she said.
Aro, who is also a tennis coach, has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to the school district.

Her attorney confirmed that Aro is married, with a 10-month-old baby girl, and that her husband is a surgeon at the Medical University of South Carolina.

She’s being held on $100,000 bail and has been ordered not to have contact with the victim, his family or students at the school.

She is also not allowed to leave the state without permission from the 9th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Her family was supposed to come in from Texas for her hearing, but their flight was delayed and they did not make it in time, Holmes said.

“She is married,” he said of his client. “Her husband is a student at the Medical University of South Carolina (in) the residency program. She has a 10-month-old baby, a girl.”

Aro taught pre-calculus and algebra at Burke, has a master’s degree from the University of Texas in education, and has no prior record, the attorney said. She had no prior disciplinary actions against her at the school until the current accusations surfaced, and has received awards for her teaching.

“This is her first year of employment with Charleston County School District and she is now on paid administrative leave” according to a statement by Andy Pruitt, a district spokesman.

A young lady has burned to death in Agoloma community in Patani Local Government Area of Delta State penultimate Thursday.

The lady was identified simply as Bridget Sampou Oyindoubra died in the fire that started at midnight.

According to Newtelegraph, the fire started shortly after Bridget returned from an end of the year prayer meeting in her church.

Upon returning home, Bridget immediately went to bed and locked the door to her apartment.

A source said the fire may have been triggered by fuel the deceased stored in her apartment.

”The neighbours poured sand and water into the fire to stop it from engulfing the apartment, but their intervention could not stop the inferno,” said a source.

Bridget was said to have attempted to crawl out of her room to no avail.
A friend of the deceased,Agoinzov Nkemluv, moruning her passing on Facebook page said: ” RIP Bridget, we miss you. Just burnt to death in her house an hour ago.”
