Thanks alot for the info, He (my archi friend) actually showed me his own house under construction on his phone, with plan to use flat roof... from the looks of the plan the flat roof seem to be different and more eye catching...

Point taken from your post is to just go for the hip roof..

I had to mix the tiles because I was going to buy all my 955 sqm tiles in High grade Spanish or Italian only, then the cost will be like starting another project. And since I am a kobo-kobo man like some people here, I went for mixing the Italian/Spanish tiles for all the busy or high traffic areas and Naija made tiles for not so busy area. Our pockets are not the same. Fingers are not equal.

I'm glad you are loving your tiles chief, we've come a long way in tiles production, gone are the day when local manufacturers are scared to put their logo and "made in Nigeria" at the rear and pack of their tiles. CDK Ceramics and West African Ceramics are really setting the pace and Time Ceramics and Goodwill Ceramics are not far behind.

A Nairalander was at my office last week looking for white porcelain Spanish or Italian tiles, i showed him our samples and their prices, he needed about 1800+sqms, so as expected the money involved was huge, he said he'll need to leave the tile purchase until his next visit to Nigeria due to the funds involved.
Then i asked him a question ; why Spanish or Italian? Why not Nigerian? . He scoffed at my mention of Nigerian tiles.
Then asked him if he'll like me to show him made in Nigeria white porcelain tiles, just to see not touch or buy . He said ok, then i showed him the samples and.
He was so impressed and decided to go with Nigerian tiles and saving alot of money. Local manufacturers are uping their games and the competition is becoming more and more intense both price wise.

There are tens of generator brands in Nigeria. But, I can categorically tell you that some of them don't have their parts scattered all over Nigeria, some don't even have. The importers just import them brand new and when they have faults,Its becomes difficult to get d parts and even competent mechanics. while for some, the parts are available but scarce like wise their maintenance technician. This is d category Hyundai, LP, Demco etc fall into. But, for some brand like Perkins and Mantrac, you can get their parts in many locations in Nigeria and also their maintenance technician.

Mantrac and Perkins products are expensive but are reliable and durable and they are more expensive as u rightly said but the parts are available and affordable compare to others.

@FastShipping: Sir, i just called your manager not long ago. i was told they were able to pump for 2hrs plus this morning. With this i think we can confirm that the borehole recharges really fast.

Leaving a borehole for 4 weeks or 4 years doesn't mean water will continue to accumulate inside the hole, there is a static level that the water will reach and it wont rise anymore. A quick view to illustrate this is a well, if you leave a well for long, the water in it cant rise above a particular level no matter how long you leave it. That is the water level.

He shared his fears about pump burning as that area is known for incessant pump in boreholes. I will suggest if we can get a flow-switch for the borehole to automatically control the pumping.

i dnt think You need to get a new pump.

the standing water level is about 8m that is about 2 riser pipes (26ft). 25 riser pipes (about 325ft) were used for the installation.

It filled 25litrs in 33secs (discharge rate) we couldnt established the recharge rate.
the max pumping time as told was around 1hrs 30min before the pressure drop.

here r some pixs from the installation.
the first is the riser pipes used,
next is when 2 riser pipes alone was in the hole,
3rd was when the whole pipes was almost exhausted..

There is still space to lower the pump more with atleast 2pipes but the capacity of the pump will be a barrier.

the hole needs to be pumped consistently for now so that its pores can be active and thereby open up and also freeing it from the remaining particles.

I took the water sample for analysis, i will let u know later about the properties of the water.
