Despite all these raft, German floor, lintel, 100s of pillars........ If I built 30 homes in Nigeria, they all have to be one floor house. The weight we put on foundation of buildings in Nigeria is just too much. Weight is not only the problem with some of these buildings, wood and bamboos are being removed from concrete that is not cure and then loaded with more weight. The rate of speed these young so called engineers and builders are rushing building from foundation to roofing level is alarming. I saw a 4 storey building here done in less than 3-4 months. Why the rush? |

EgunMogaji:They really think we print money. I told the guy cement is between 1500-1650 naira but the guy said only Dangote cement is being sold for 1800 naira. He knows I love my beloved Elephant cement, so he wants me (mugu) to continue paying 1,900 naira + 100 tip per bag. He's in for rude awakening when I get someone else to supply cement to my site. 1 Like |

EgunMogaji:Ah!!! 1,450 naira? This guy for kill me o Imagine, I always give him 2,000 naira per bag and he was still expecting me to pay him the usual 1,900 naira + 100 naira tip per bag. That is 550 naira per bag in savings I am about to save. 550 naira by 250 bags of cement is a lot of money. |
