suyamasta:I also saw that on one of the national daily newspapers several weeks before the just concluded aptitude test. But sit down and think. Does the NRC have the financial strength to employ 200,000 staff? Even NNPC, FIRS, NIMASA, NPA and other big revenue earners for government do not have a staff strength of up to 200,000. Not even the Police, NSCDC or any paramilitary force with presence in all 36 states can boast of that much. I'm not sure even the Army can boast of that much. Do you know what the wage bill of 200,000 staff will be even at an average of N35,000 monthly? How much does NRC even generate into the Federation Account? If NRC was in the league of big earners, dont you think a BSc graduate will earn above the 49k currently being earned. NRC has a current staff strength of over 7,000. Abeg how many routes have they opened in recent time to warrant employing 200,000? Abeg I no wan laugh. Just leave me. NRC like NIPOST has the potentials but is not there yet. |
josejay:Yes, Ibadan centre was really bad. Abuja wasn't any better either but had lesser crowd than IB. I think the last batch in Abuja finished before 5pm or thereabout. NRC should have prepared better, knowing the number of people that applied (350,000) and knowing that gate crashing is a possibility in interviews conducted in Nigeria, owing to the high rate of unemployment and penchant for FG jobs. One of the Chinese workers in a CCECC truck was seen taking a video coverage of the long queue of applicants under the scorching heat of the Sun (probably in awe or in shock) and I tell you Abuja weather is no joke in terms of heat. About the net salary, yes it's a little lesser than 50k. The annoying part was when a staff kept yelling about the number of applicants, the rate at which calls and letters were flooding in from the National Assembly for favorite candidates, yet the corporation will only employ 339 new staff. The massive turnout of applicants at every recruitment validates the fact that the increasing rate of unemployment is a time bomb waiting to explode if not adequately checked by the government. Many are unemployed and others underemployed. We can only hope for the best. |

yusufhaji:I'm deeply sorry and I apologize to you and indeed every one who felt offended by that post. That guy acted foolish but that's not enough justification to have overreacted the way I did. Although, it's too late to pull down the post as I have been quoted by someone else, I apologize again & sincerely appreciate your manner of approach. Wish you all d best in ur forthcoming interview |

bfbellexce:I wouldnt have expected anything sensible to come out from your mucous filled skull. Half-baked, sophomoric graduate. Which school did you steal your certificate from again? ABU I guess! ![]() By the special grace of Almighty God, you and all your family members will end your lives in the lagoon before the end of this year in Jesus Name. Amen! You are cursed! Quote me to say nonsense again and as God liveth, you will not live to even attend the interview. |

Impactever:They do. But not all agencies and departments of government place entry level BSc graduates on level 08 step 2. All ministries do, (based on CONPSSS), paramilitary agencies do (based on CONPASS) but some agencies use CONRAISS and place entry level BSc graduates on level 07 step 2 or 3 with even a higher net salary than CONPSSS 08 step 2. In summary, salary structure differs and agencies like NNPC, NPA, NIMASA, NCC, NIGCOMSAT etc run a special salary structure. I do not know if DPR has one too but I assume they should since they were once a division of NNPC and still a regulatory agency to same. |
bfbellexce:And what they want is? You think no one else among the multitude that applied have the same qualification/experience or even better than you? Sometimes, it's best to just shut up and observe when you're clueless about something. |
Vongsama:ok Thanks |
raf2angel:Pls what alphabet does ur surname start from? I think a couple of people who got sms on Friday have their surnames starting with an A. |
dwag:Oh really? Is this authoritative? I had assumed they use same structure with NNPC. And I know NNPC uses the JS, SS and M scale instead of the GL. |
Impactever:Does DPR even use GL 08 for entry level? I dont think so |
Is this one a country? Dear God, I'm not asking you for a car or some naira in my bank account. You can give that to my family and friends in Nigeria. All I am asking from you this 2017 is a CANADIAN VISA. I need to leave this hell of a country. You've given me strength and helped me to achieve great academic feats. But it is almost worthless in this part of the world. As your son, dont I also deserve constant electricity, security and an enabling environment to succeed? Just help me to Canada dear Lord, I will work and make legitimate money and will even be a blessing to others in need. This I ask dear Lord. ![]() |
napoleon77:true bro. Even Senior civil servants working in the Federal Ministries (not parastatals) earn very low. If you've ever lived in Lagos, you'll understand that Abuja is cheaper to live in. Like others have said, find accomodation at cheaper settlements like zuba, madalla, airport road, mpape etc., dont eat in eateries for now but instead purchase foodstuff at some cheap markets (zuba, airport road, kuje etc), dont take 'drop' within town, instead opt for 'along' and 'el-rufai buses' for long distance trips e.g Berger-Zuba, Berger-Lugbe, Gwagwalada-Berger etc. Many lanlords in Abuja started their hustle like this, but are better-off today. Do not despise the days of little beginning. Know thyself! |
Once upon a time, I strongly believed in the country Nigeria. I defended her tirelessly and traded words with those who spoke ill of her. Fastforward to over a decade later and things have gone from bad to worse for Nigeria. Now, I'm wondering if I was foolish to have defended her. Really, nothing good works in this part of the world. Education, infrastructure, welfare, electricity, transportation, human rights, youth employment, sports....it's all a sad tale. Before you quote me, please tell me one good thing Nigeria has done for you as a citizen. |
