FBS, You guys are claiming the EPL is the best because Man-U are the defending champs of the CL, thats why I said if Barca wins it, then Laliga is the best, I dnt care if 3 epl Teams made it to the semis.

Who wins it is tha koko.
@eyonigger, No. aint claiming shait. The bolded part is what I'm talking about. You gotta care about it. Take it or leave it.

Real presidential candidate says has Drogba deal
Eduardo Garcia, one of several candidates for the Real Madrid presidency, said he had an agreement to sign Chelsea striker Didier Drogba if he won the Primera Liga club's June election.

"We have agreements with three players," Garcia told sports daily AS on Tuesday.

"A Champions League centre forward who scores goals in England. We could present him just after being elected. With people like Drogba we are looking for immediate results."

Garcia added that he had a deal for a Brazilian who occupied a similar position to Kaka, who still played in his native country, and for Racing Santander's left back.

AS named the players as Keirrison of Palmeiras and Ivan Marcano

Education › Re: Pidgin in Secondary School, Is It Right? by FBS: 10:53am On May 05, 2009
which school?

But seriously, what is wrong in speaking PE? PE is a very good tool and helps in fostering unity and understanding each other (70% of Nigerians speak it and very well if I may add). Must everyone speak QE or AE?

Perhaps its time we make it the official language?

Lets see if foreigners can learn it. cheesy At least we are forced to learn English/French in schools.

spikedcylinder:
If you want to address the fuel shortage, address the fuel shortage and don't pin someone's death against it.

A woman died while queuing for fuel, so what? Not to belittle her death or anything but she could have died while eating bread and akara as well.
What she needs is an autopsy not all the barking down the wrong stumps thats being displayed here.
but she did not die eating bread and akara or did she?

If she wasnt queuing for a commodity that should be readily available, her death could have been averted . . .even a first aid would not have been needed.
I'm not blaming the government. Just my 2 cents.
Politics › Re: Woman, 58, Dies While Queuing For Fuel by FBS: 10:43am On May 05, 2009

Pay for 1 and take 2 system.

I hope Ribery is coming to Chelsea wink but not at 62 million.
Sports › Re: Kano Pillars Send Alahly Packing From The Caf Champions League by FBS: 10:30am On May 05, 2009
Eastbay, again, I cant help but agree with you. Our league (and indeed the country as a whole) need a LOT of help but who is going to fix it?
Orji tried and at a point I was watching all Eyinmba matches cos it was interesting. (Was rooting for the guy to be the sports minister or at least NFA chairman wink)

However, looking at it from another point of view, it took Nigeria a very long time to win the CAF CL trophy (thanks to Orji K and Co.) and believe it, other clubs loved the success the team enjoyed and wanted to emulate them so it is no surprise that Kano Pillars & Heartland are doing same now.

By participating in such tourneys and doing well, these teams get exposed and who knows. . .better days are coming.

I was watching the portuguese league the other day, at first I thought it was naija league. The stadium, the setup etc. . .So yes, we are not there yet, but we will get there even though I still think "fixing" the country itself is the first and major thing.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Real Madrid(2) Vs Barca(6) On Saturday 2nd May: Live by FBS: 10:18am On May 05, 2009
ok maybe I should rephrase? you folks really think that the La Liga is better than the EPL?
May I add that it is the UCL that in most cases determine the best leagues, correct?

What you guys fail to see is this, there were seasons ago when Serie A ruled, when La Liga did same. But now, EPL bangs them all. simple.

dayokanu:
Tell me how what happened to Real was in any way different from when Arsenal was crushed 6-1, when Man Utd lost 5-0 to chelsea or when Man Utd lost 4-1 to Liverpool. You mean those were not humiliations?
What magnitude made Chelsea to lose 3-0 to Man Utd in January. or made Arsenal to lose 4-0 in the FA cup semi finals.Help me understand.
Certainly those were equally bad results (trouncing, bashing etc but none of those compared to the 2-6 humiliation). WTF?? when was the last time Barca did a double on RM and in an El derbi español?in 1998? or maybe because I personally expected a different result.
Scratch your brain 'cos I know you fully understand what I'm talking about. stop play acting.
dayokanu:
That where I am different, I watch all the leagues before making my judgment unlike most people who watch only EPL and tell us Blackburn Rovers is the best team.
I'm pretty certain no one ever said that Blackburn Rovers are a top side cheesy and believe it or not, you are not the only one following other leagues (I watch as much as I can even the A and J leagues grin ).
However, after watching several other leagues, DayoK, you truely think that the EPL sucks?

Poster,
Great result, but I don't think it has anything to do with our league.
I see your point (e.g Eyinmba ruling Africa some years did nothing to help the local league) but again if you look at it, I think it does. Kano pillars done did it. wink
Always knew they could pull this stunt.
