Family › Re: My Wife Is Driving Me Nuts: Doesn't Want A New Baby by FBS: 8:22am On Mar 06, 2009
MRbrownJAY:
@FBS we are all assuming in this story UNTIL WE HEAR THE WIFE'S STORY. i will never take one side of the story to be the truth so we can only speculate about what COULD be the reason for someone to do such thing.poster is only making himself look like an angel.
@MRbrownJAY
Yes you are one sided. Till now, we have not heard from the other party. You obviously missed my point. I said, subject to if he has said the whole truth. Read well please.
For reasons known to you, you have categorically stated that he is forcing her. No he isn't. Wanting to have another baby with your wife is by no means using FORCE.
On the contrary, she is the one forcing him to do want she wants by leaving the house.

MRbrownJAY:
try to be realistic,  suddenly now he starts drinking? ahahah yeah right. he probably started drinking WAY before and we all know what drunks are able to do, the poster story makes no sense and by what i previously wrote you can be the judge of that.
Again, that is your assumption and again taking sides. You are not being realistic by not recognising the fact that, they are married. She gave a pledge. FOR BETTER AND FOR WORSE. Have you any idea what that means? I guess not.

MRbrownJAY:
you keep talking about the woman wanting to keep her figure, it's not about FIGURE but about CHOICE. the right to choose what SHE wants for her life. which was 6 more yrs of school.
you asked "how can a woman keep her man in check if she isn't living home"?! well the poster should have thought about that before trying to force the woman for more babies. she got enough and left. in his words,it's all about him. his job, what he wants and his money. marriage is about 2peeps, not one.
One can only wonder why there are many brokens homes. Because something is not going right in your home, the next thing is to leave? Can you actually read what you are writing? THEY ARE MARRIED and he is not in any way molesting her.
This is not about choice, if it was, she should have envisaged the fact that (and she did agree with her husband-at least according to him to have one than one child) her choice was made earlier while she was going into the marriage. You are yet to prove to me the sudden change of mind. That maybe she had complications on her first delivery is only your assumption. Yes or No?

MRbrownJAY:
by saying that the primary role of a woman is to have children, it shows me your level of prehistoric ignorance and should join the other two who were ready for the drive-by beating and snatching,  are you telling me that every women should bare children that they LIKE IT OR NOT?! she already did her fair share. stop reading that bible and believe that what happened in biblical time should be done today because then i would be able to marry 100wives and have hundreds of concubines/slaves and any woman would have absolutely NO RIGHT, and sinner would be stoned to death, like in biblical times. wake up!
Its either you are naive or just pretending to be? Tell me please, what is the primary role of a woman?
How can  you tell me to stop reading the bible? Or don't you know that is the foundation of this world?
Bearing of children is a right/privilegde accorded ONLY to women and must be proud of that.
What you are saying boy, is arrant nonsense. You obviously dont know what the bible says.
I never said, women should have children whether they like it or not. My argument is, there is no concrete reason, why she has refused to. All you are blabbing is pure assumptions and they certainly hold no water. Go and do your revision.

And no, I do not support the drive-by beating and snatching. It will be totally stupid to do such.
Guys, it is a true story o. I am 30 yrs old. I have spent the last 12 years like a dream. it just wasted !! I droped out of High school for lack of sufficient money from my dad. we were so poor that , well, I dont want to remember, but I spent most part of my ss2 doing manial jobs to go to school, school was very far from my home more than 30 Km. I treked most times, and worked for two days to go to school, for the other three days.

Well, after my promotion to ss3, I left school, to continue with a long time job I got to fend for myself. School, wasnt part of my agenda then, and I lost it , my watchword was "survival". 12 years gone and now I dont know what went wrong and so much that I know the importance of School, now I want to further, I am brlliant and ready to do anything to go back to school,

I need advice on how to get on my track back, pls help,

worried fellow

Needless to say, I have oca & ocp in oracle 9i and 10 g. I know how to use and good in administration of SQL server 2005 and windows server 2003 as well. I know a bit on Linux and I am very good with Windows XP and Vista operating systems. I know a little on system engineering as well. What I want guys is to go back to school and have degree. How do I do this ?

Pls Help me with whatever advice .!
did you needless to say? a lot of guys will kill to have all your afore mentioned certs even with their degrees.
Do you have a job?
seriously, cant see how you should have a problem. you already have an education, damn it.
If a degree is what you are after, (though, I dont know where you reside) you can do part time B.SC, M.SC etc. and since you are already on the computer lineage your problem is even no problem because you already know what course to study.
A lot of school offer such programmes.
except if this is a joke or something?

software, hardware, networking,web etc. . .
if you can make up your mind, then the problem will be as good as resolved.

Politics › Re: NYSC: Now Your Suffering Commences Or National Youth Service Corps by FBS: 9:50am On Mar 05, 2009
Mr Man, did you miss out the word "I" in my statements. I don't expect everyone to be financially stable. I'm only stating that i don't need the NYSC to see various cities in Nigeria. If i am indeed that explorative/patriotic, i should be able to source funds to travel the country myself. NYSC should not be my excuse to see cities.
Same applies to the second statement. There's nothing wrong with meeting your future husband/wife at NYSC. My point is that this is not a good enough reason for the programme to continue. People will still find husbands/wives without the NYSC so your point holds no water.
What is this "I" "I" "I"? are you the only one living in Nigeria? why are you so self centered? why is everyone suprised that the nation is not moving forward when all we have are people like you, who are bent only over themselves?
Not everyone can source funds and the NYSC gives some people a focal point in life. It gives them a starting point. We have many folks in the banking sector who got posted to banks and were retained.
Once again, I say tell that to those who met their life partners during NYSC since you call them loosers.
Concerning my solution, stop being antagonistic jare.
The 1million naira on each corper is already being spent and yet only 5% of the corpers get jobs upon completion of the service yr.
Who the hell told you that graduates don't know what to do with the money. Do u know the advantages of equal distribution of wealth? Trust me, a whole bunch of small business ideas will crop up. Imagine if 1 million naira had been given to SEUN OSEWA prior to Nairaland. Maybe we could have had the next best thing since google in naija by now. (not saying Nairaland is not getting close ooo. lol. grin)
i repeat. Scrap the NYSC and give each corper ONE MILLION NAIRA. If they waste it, well who cares, they're already wasting the money anyways (by filling their bank accounts and claiming it costs one million to train a corper per yr). One thing i am sure of is that we will create a whole lot of entrepreneurs that will be self sufficient.
What a solution you have proposed. very interesting.
how many Seun Osewas do we have? amazing. . .you can as well say the CBN should empty the nations account and distribute the money to the masses. Will that solve the problem of our country?
Look, boy, stop whining. Get on with it.
You probably missed what I am saying. The NYSC should be restructed, (rescaled, reassembled or whatever) to meet the needs of todays graduates, maybe then, you will be appreciate its usefullness.
The reasons I gave are just some and thus not limited to.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 9:29am On Mar 05, 2009
wondering who might be coming into the team next season?
Lanyan can be the man for Blues
CHELSEA are set to battle Juventus for Brazilian teen ace Lanyan.
The Vasco De Gama full-back, tipped as the new Roberto Carlos, has earned rave reviews for his impressive youth team performances.
Chelsea scouts have watched the 17-year-old three times.
But Juventus may have the upper hand as Guus Hiddink has said he will not interfere with transfer policy during his temporary stint at Stamford Bridge.

Family › Re: My Wife Is Driving Me Nuts: Doesn't Want A New Baby by FBS: 9:21am On Mar 05, 2009
he has ALL the right to have another child AS LONG AS THE WIFE WANTS IT TOO!!!!!
so are you insinuating that nobody can change their mind?! is it against the law to learn from experiences?! maybe she had a hard time baring the first child and DO NOT want to go through with another pregnancy again,  who are we to DEMAND that this woman has another child if she doesn't want it. is a married woman just good for having children? the rate that 9ja men like to have mistresses, i can understand why she wants to keep her figure to stay sexy and hopefully keep her man in check!now the poor fella is pouring his soul on NL instead of having a great time with his family.

@poster WAS ALL THIS MULTIPLE PREGNANCY STUFF WORTH LOOSING YOUR FAMILY?
oh yes, this may be so, but the poster never mentioned this. You are only assuming, right?
Again, I repeat, subject to what the poster has said, there was no concrete reason for her actions, other than that she doesnt want another child because she wants to keep her shape.
shait! didnt she know she has to keep her shape when going into the marriage?
No one said, a married woman is only good for having children but you cannot deny the fact that, that is their primary role in life. They are the only vessel for reproduction as approved by The Most High.
How can she keep her man in check when she is not even in the same house with him anymore?
What other counter arguement do you have?

we dont have a team. Most of the first team players dont even command a regular starts in their respective clubs. And funny enough, the eagles coaches have accepted that they have no other alternatives than to use these same rusty players.

why is it not possible to use home grown or at least some of our cadet players?

MRbrownJAY:
you are absolutely right, he has the right to ASK but he has no right to FORCE her into doing something she doesn't want to do, and it's clear that she DOESN'T want any more children at the moment.
absolutely nonsense.
I used the word ask, because, well, this is the 21st century (civilization etc) but that dont mean he has no right to have another child. Maybe not necessarily force though.
Subject to if the poster has actually told the whole story, he has every damn right because she consented to having more than one baby before they got married. why the sudden decision to stop having more only because she wants to keep her shape after one baby? nonsense.

Politics › Re: Why Are There So Many People In Nigeria Compared To Other Countries In Africa by FBS: 8:33am On Mar 04, 2009
half the population in nigeria are not actually Nigerians and getting a passport is not very difficult.
The borders are porous and just about anyone can come in. (Niger Rep etc)

Maybe and until a proper census is conducted, a true citizen can be ID-ed.

At the moment, it is just a country for all Africans. simple.

Polygamy, villagers breeding just anyhow are not necessarily the cause.
