Family › Re: I Want To Run Away From Home Need Advise. by FBS: 1:22pm On Mar 03, 2009
I went back and read all the op posts no where did see mention she wants to hang out with guys all night. Bushman at 18 there is nothing wrong with going out on a date with the opposite sex. GET OUT FROM THAT JUUGLE YOU LIFE IN, TIMES HAVE CHANGED. The poster is on a scholarship to go to college, do you know how many kids out there that don't want to work or go to school.
you are very stupid. She did say she wanted to go out on a saturday night but no where did I mention ALL night. open your eyes.
It's not fair, everytime I get into any kind of argument with my dad now, he threatens to sent me back  to Nigeria to live with my grandma. I can't even go out on a Saturday night with my friends from school without the thousand questions,
So because she is on a scholarship, she should start gyrating up and down? arent there better things to do with your life?
You say Nigeria parents dont understand? what are they supposed to understand? That her father is being protective is by your own words is a lack of understanding?
boy, how old are you?

She will have all the time in her life to go to parties but that does not necessarily mean she should start now. If she so much wants her independence, why is she so afraid to go back to Nigeria. There she will get all the freedom she wants.
Talk of unwanted pregnancies spreading.

If you spend 80-90% of your time outside nigeria (whereever that is), it is only logical that you buy the house there. Thereafter, you can build in Nigeria but be aware so that you are not swindled.

spikedcylinder:
A woman has a right to her own body. . . . . undecided
just as the man has the right to ask for more children. That is certainly not out of place. They are married, abi be ko?
Her body now belongs to her husband and vice versa. (remember the 2 shall become 1)

@topic, have you told the whole story? There may be more to this.

At any rate, Yoruba folks should be happy about it .It's getting more popular by the day.

Deco is becoming isolated at Chelsea, it has been revealed.

The departure of manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has left Deco on the margins of the dressing room, says Sport.

From day one, Scolari made Deco one of the heavyweights of the dressing room and an important part of his on-field plans. But since Guus Hiddink's arrival, the Portugal midfielder is feeling squeezed out.

me thinks this is not entirely true.

Politics › Re: NYSC: Now Your Suffering Commences Or National Youth Service Corps by FBS: 9:15am On Mar 02, 2009
Reasons quoted above are not good enough for NYSC to continue

-If i need to see the shit hole cities in Nigeria, i'll buy a plane ticket
- If i couldn't find a wife/husband while in college and NEED NYSC to do this, i must be a sore loooooser.

Okay, my solution to the NYSC scheme.

I heard that it costs the govt about 1 MILLION NAIRA to take care of a youth corper each yr, . ONE F.UCKING MILLION NAIRA
I propose tha the scheme be scrapped and the govt should give every graduating student one MILLION naira after graduation. This way they'll be able to set up small businesses and not have to be unemployed.
I mean, we're already (supposedly) spending the money on the graduates right? Scrap the damn thing and give the money to the graduates.
amazing the way people reason.
-can everyone afford to get a plane ticket especially a new graduate who doesnt even know where to start from and has no shishi in his pocket?
meeting your future husband/wife during NYSC doesnt make you a sore looser. Tell that to those who met their spouses.
The NYSC has its (maybe even a lot) down sides, but if properly restructured, then it is a wonderful programe.
Are you aware that in some countries, a mandatory 2 yr army tranining is necessary. It may sound nice at first but believe me, it certainly isn't. Ask those who went through it.
-Give the money to graduates and they will do what with it. Lets be honest, a fresh graduate may not even know what to do with it.
