Fearless007 my own answer definitely doesn't resemble the answers other mamas have provided about the girdle.
I was put in a post partum binder the next day after my CS. But the the hospital gave me was too big, so I had to start using the one I bought.
I don't have 'an incision scar' and the belt comes in 3 parts so you can avoid the incision area.
My major aim of using the belt now is cos it provides good back support for me when standing, my tummy is hanging loose so the belt helps me keep everything in place.

Thanks for your response and the pictorial guide. Kisses to Ayomide.

Thanks mitchyy for your response. This Friday would make it 4 weeks of drinking warm water, would stop then because am tired of taking it. I would also wait till 6 weeks before wearing a belly binder. Thanks once again. Kisses to Hansel.

Good day mums in the house. Congrats to those that have put to birth and safe delivery to waddling mamas.
Please I need answers to some questions ;
1. For those that drink warm water after delivery, how long did you do so?

2. When can one start wearing a belly binder ( eg girdle) bearing in mind that the individual gave birth via CS.

3. If a girdle is not appropriate, what brand of belly binder can one use. TIA

MY BIRTH STORY
My birth story will be a short one. I no Sabi write epistle. I had my son 3years ago vis cs and I was hoping to try a VBAC with my subsequent babies. Fastforward to last year june I fell pregnant but lost the baby at 5wks 6dys. God blessed me with another pregnancy in October and I was eagerly looking forward to carry the pregnancy. To be honest with you mamas, I was scared because of the previous miscarriage but I encouraged myself with the word of God, family and joining this forum also helped me even though I was a peeper in my first pregnancy. My EDD was on the 28th of July according to LMP and scan. At my last ANC which was on Tuesday ( was 40wks 5dys) my doctor said if I don't fall into labour within the next 3days that I would be booked for a CS because she doesn't want to take any chances. I called my husband from the hospital and told him, he said my doctor know best but that we should still pray and hope that I fall into labour before then. I told my mum, who said I shouldn't go but wait for baby to come. I was confused and worried because with my son, I had a failed induction and had to be operated on because his BP hit the roof and when the doctor opened me, he discovered that my son was stuck making it difficult for him to pass through the birth canal. I came to this forum and some wonderful mamas encouraged me and advised that I listened to my doctor. On thursday I checked myself into the hospital for the surgery on Friday. To God be the Glory my princess came into the world at 12:51pm on 5th August weighing 3.5kg. It can only be God. Even though I wanted to try for a VBAC, I have no regrets whatsoever. I pray for other pregnant mothers that you all would deliver safely and ATC mamas the time to favour you has come. Thank you mamas.

It is well Dear. Sorry tho that your heart desires for a VBAC may be out of reach for now...but it's no big deal .I think your Doctor has been patient a lil at least by allowing you get to 41weeks. Some doctors don't usually want to risk it. Here is my opinion. ...
when you say you don't want to go that Thursday that you will be 41weeks, when exactly do you want to go if labour doesn t come before the Thursday? Bear in mind that you can't risk staying for long again after 41weeks ooo before placenta begins to degenerate and becomes a problem to your baby o ooo....Your mum telling you to hold on for long after 41weeks , i hope she understands the implications tho...
My Dear, i think its time to face reality...make plans for assistance . Maybe a cousin from your side or DH side or close church member ...whatever . Talk to DH. You both should be involved in looking for the help. Walk in to the hospital and have your baby.....you want to avoid stories that touch ooo....
All the best. Awaiting your good news...
Thanks. Am praying for a miracle and being positive. Whatever happens my prayer still remains, mother alive, baby alive, my son alive, DH alive and plenty money to take care of us. Thanks once again.

Good day mamas. Abeg make una help me torchlight this my matter. I went for ANC today and my doc has booked me for CS on thursday ( I will be 41weeks). I am seriously praying that I go into labour before Thursday cos I want to try for a VBAC. I can't be induced cos of a failed induction during my first which led to my first CS. I am keeping an open mind but the thing is that my mum is not too strong health wise at the moment and I have a 3year old son plus my husband to tend to and I don't have any help. I don't know what to do cos I was hoping they would let labour come on its but my doctor was saying she can't take any chances. I called my mum to let her know but she said I should hold on and not report at the hospital yet cos anything can still happen ( might fall into labour) I have been taking walks, kpekused, eaten pineapple from 37wks but still no show. Please forgive my ranting and plenty talk. I am just feeling a bit discouraged. Anyone that has been through this should please advise me. cc : zaynie , liftedhands , Fortius , tchiwinnie , soonest , all Sabi mamas. TIA

Keep trying long walks and other methods to induce labor naturally. You'll be fine okay?
