I got to the US two weeks ago and I had a very smooth experience at jfk airport. He ask where I work and what i do in my company and that was all.

I been at wisconsin for a week now but the hospital bills are crazy $18k upward. Seems i will have to go back to ny or if i can get a cheaper hospital & accommodation elsewhere.

Wat city in Wisconsin are you? It's a small state compared to Texas and odas so there hospitals re quiet crazy. My gran jst had a surgery 2days ago and boy! The bill is something else.

If you are in Milwaukee, you can check out St joseph's hospital. Your whole bill should not exceed 8k

Thanks dear. I know that it is a personal thing because I was not even checked at all the airports I travelled through which is not the same for many. It was just out of curiousity that I decided to ask ni ooo, not that I am pre-occupied. I have more important things to worry about dear like can I live here permanently? That was what prompted my interest in 9ja visa on arrival and I went to ask. But I think Olokings had a different experience, his airline insisted on seeing the child's visa. So, we need someone to bell the cat! Who will experiment for us

Few enquiries about US neonatal care suggests very very expensive ordeal.(don't even go there).
Just to know, how much was the daily Neonatal cost per baby?

Let her go to Ultimate Specialist Hospital, Royal Avenue Estate, Odili Road (Dr Adewale).

He has very good SCBU for preemies and he's a very good ob/gyn.

I use them for my antenatals.

It's $200 for visa on arrival for babay born to Nigerian parents from US. There is a lounge in Lagos airport where it can be processed.

But will airline agree to fly the baby?

I've come to understand in this birthing waka that online reviews are misleading! Always look out for people that have had FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE THAT YOU CAN RELATE WITH. This thread is a good avenue for such. Read thru the post of those that used the hospital and see if there are pros and cons. Remember your business with the hospital is just once and that's at delivery. Take a tour yourself, discuss with the staff on ground and work closely with your doctor. He should guide you and calm your fears if you have any.

Most importantly, have an open mind! Don't be preoccupied with the negative things you hear else you won't be pleased by anything you see there

For rent, I've not seen anyone of $800, budget $1200-1500. I think it includes bills too

I have actually.Not sure if it was with my old moniker though.
First experience was MD.Was almost sent back.the manager on duty stopped the entry denial and gave me just 3wks instead.I got in,filed for an extension and was given 4months.
I was over the moon when the Dropbox method was introduced cos I didn't imagine what I would tell the CO when re applying.
I reapplied and was given.Wasnt even called for an interview even with my border issues and applying for an extension.

With baby two I went to Dallas,sent change of intent.No issues at POE.
I detailed my experience in part 3 of this thread.But I think it was under my old moniker.

Thank you for giving back. Give us more details na, since we can't identify your old moniker. Wat hospital in MD and Dallas + cost? You might be saving someone's life today, who knows

I have applied 3times.
First was for strictly holiday.Second and third (Dropbox)were for childbirth.
If not for adupif"s response, I almost would have applied for an interview on my next renewal instead of Dropbox.
And no,I never supplied hospital correspondence for any of my previous trips only change of intent letters because all visas were gotten before I became pregnant.
