ellyrichy: Hmm and where did you get this of information bro.
guy do u think that all the top 20 best university that are federal university are really the best?
There are consider the best just because is federal uni.

I still like Delst, though unibest is good.

When i wrote jamb last year, i choose uniben, medicine and surgery. my friend who is in uniben told me to option in for phamacy rather than medicine in uniben for some reasons.

Uniben is great. Am not into critisism.

1stUnique: I think I av a better answer to dis question which I learn frm a dude.

My advice is that any school acreditted by
MDCN on this site www.mdcnigeria.org is
very good for you, the most important thing
is, what do you really want to do in the
school....
Self development is all you need to survive
as a young man. Once you start developing
your God given potentials, beleive me the
choice of school will be the last thing on
your mind. Schools are just there to give
you directions on how to carry out this huge
task of 'self development', you are not going
to stay in school forever.
Let me give you an instance of a world
acclaimed brain surgeon who always
emphasize this the need for one to develop
himself. Dr. Ben Carson is beleived to be a
wonder man, it is no longer news that this
fellow attended michigan state university
school medicine at the time when havard
was considered the only place where one
can make it in life, but as i speak now
havard trained professors do consult him for
alot of things....
Mind you i did'nt say that good schools
are'nt good but beleive me, life is more
about what you do with your life.....
To clarify this issue once and for all, it's
good to know that medical education in
Nigeria is regulated by a single body
saddled with the responsibility of
maintaining an acceptable standard in all
the schools registered under it.... and
residency spots are not given based on the
school you attend but rather your
performances in the various exams...
Just be still, study well and try and make
yourself outstanding in all spheres of your
endeavour, and watch your records speak for
you.
NB: Your success in life is not proportional
to the school(s) you attend.
Goodluck.#peace.

wow u are such a good adviser.
bro am a medical aspirant. I would like to have ur wattsap id, 2go, if you don't mind.

EducationRe: How To Get Admitted In Medicine And Surgery Next Year by Fedric(m): 3:01pm On Jan 03, 2014
Doctor Lomaxx. U are such a wonderful doc, thanks for your kindness,

no time to waste time, reading thing.
EducationRe: The medical students and aspirants thread by Fedric(m): 10:43pm On Jan 02, 2014
lomaxx: Your focus is:
1) Relatively easy to get in.
2) Relatively less school fee.
3) Favourable atmosphere to study med/surg.

1) It's becoming increasingly competitive to get in as the years roll by. You have to use your discretion here, find out the admitting parameters and work hard enough.

2) Federal universities generally have lower fees.

3) I believe schools nationwide are favourable in this regard. What ever school you choose, do your research.

I don't think anyone will tell you to go to so-so-and-so school. This is purely discretionary. Whatever choice you make, you stick with the responsibility. Hence,

1) make a choice,
2) know what is involved by asking questions; and 3) weigh your willingness to plunge in your efforts.

Good luck.
thank you Doc Lomaxx for this warm advice. Thanks once more. More power to your elbow

Good evening Doctors in the house. U guys are doing great job. I have being following this thread for long, but silent because i have nothing to contribute.

Am an aspirant though i wrote Jamb last year to study medicine but wasn't given admission due to increase in cut off mark for medicine from 50 to 60
, am from Delta state and the school i registered for was Delsu.

I have the intention of taking another jamb this year but kinda confuse on which university where the school fees is less, and more favourable, "i live in lagos" now that is one university. I don't wanna make mistakes

i don't really know how costly it can be studing medicine in delsu?

Which university do you think will be favourabe and more easy to get admission couple with less school fees?

I dnt want to endanger my admission this year due to lack of information, please i beleive that with your help and advice am ganna achieve my dream this year.

Advice me please
EducationRe: The medical students and aspirants thread by Fedric(m): 8:38am On Dec 30, 2013
lomaxx: And your MBBS Programme is divided into Parts.

1)Pre-Medical year

2)Pre-clinical year

•a)Physiology
•b)Anatomy
•c)Biochemistry

3) First Clinical year
•Laboratory Medicine and Pharmacology

4) Second Clinical year
•Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics

5)Third Clinical year
•Internal Medicine, Community Health, Family Medicine ,Surgery.

Apart from the pre-med year, you write a professional examination in those courses at the end of the subsequent parts(2 to 5).

So once you pass the professional examination, it is considered that you have satisfied the requirements for that course. So it's stepwise.
bro lomaxx. Am a medical aspirant. I wrote jamb this year but haven't being given admission yet. Please can i have your wattsap, facecook, bbm pin? Please .
