Christianity Etc"Punish A Muslim Day" - Letters In The UK Says To Attack Muslims On April 3 by Fegelfire(op): 4:03pm On Mar 15, 2018
Anonymous letters in Britain urge people to ‘punish’ Muslims by bombing mosques, nuking Mecca

https://i1.wp.com/tellmamauk.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Punish-a-Muslim-Day.png

At first glance, the mailings didn't seem like much. They arrived in plain white envelopes, with second-class stamps.

The letters inside, though, were a different story. Big red and black letters declare April 3 “Punish a Muslim” day. Underneath, a ranting paragraph attacks Europe's lax immigration policies, along with Muslim immigrants.

“Are you a sheep like the vast majority of the population? Sheep follow orders and are easily led,” it reads. “They are allowing the white-majority nations of Europe and North America to become overrun by those who would like nothing more than to do us harm and to turn our democracies into sharia-led police states.”

Below, a chart offers “points” for offenses against Islam: pulling off a woman's headscarf would net 25; killing a Muslim, 500. Bombing a mosque would get you 1,000 points, and you'd receive 2,500 to “nuke Mecca.”

“They have hurt you, they have made your loved ones suffer. They have caused you pain and heartache. What are you going to about it?” the anonymous missive asks.

According to authorities, at least six communities around the United Kingdom have received the letters, which are being investigated by the country's counterterrorism forces. Tell Mama, an organization that monitors anti-Muslim activity, has received reports of letters being received in Cardiff, Leicester, London and Sheffield.

“This has caused quite a lot of fear within the [Muslim] community,” Iman Atta, the director of Tell Mama, told reporters this weekend. “They are asking if they are safe, if their children are safe to play outdoors. We have told them to keep calm.”

In a Facebook post, Naz Shah, a member of Parliament, wrote that members of her community are very distressed. “I would appeal to the wider community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police,” she wrote.

It's not clear who sent the letters or what they're trying to accomplish. It seems, though, that the writers targeted predominantly Muslim communities. Politician Riaz Ahmed, for example, said he received one at his home in Bradford. The residents of his neighborhood are mostly British Pakistanis of Muslim backgrounds. “My guess is that the letter was meant to terrorize and cause discord within the various communities,” he said in the New York Times.

According to a 2016 census, there are about 4.1 million Muslims in Britain, about 4.4 percent of the population. That population will likely triple in the next 30 years, according to Pew, thanks to migration. Muslim women also have, on average, more children. Even so, a 2016 study also found that Britons overestimate the number of Muslims in their country.

That's part of a broader trend — in the past several years, Britons' attitudes toward Muslims have worsened, with more than half of respondents from one survey saying that Islam poses a treat to the West. A quarter of respondents called Islam a dangerous religion.

Hate crimes, too, are on the rise. According to the country's Home Office, last year, hate crimes against Muslims jumped 29 percent, to 80,393 reported offenses. It's the biggest jump since the Home Office began keeping track in 2011. Those incidents included several arson attacks on mosques and a British man accused of ramming a van into a group of people leaving a mosque. One person was killed; seven others were injured.

Sweden to crack down on Islamic schools

Sweden plans to ban groups who do not support gender equality from starting or running schools, the country’s education minister said on Sunday.
Gustav Fridolin made the call as he launched an inquiry into tightening the regulation of religious schools in the country.

“The regulatory framework will be tightened,” Gustav Fridolin wrote in an article in the Aftonbladet newspaper. “Those who do not support fundamental values around equality and human rights should be stopped from running free schools in Sweden.”

The proposal comes as the debate around religious free schools continues to rage in the country, most recently over the decision to let the Islamic headmaster and former Moderate party MP Abdirisak Waberi start a new Islamic school in the city of Borås.

Waberi has been criticised in the past for attempting to explain why under Islam it is permitted for a man to marry four women but not for a woman to marry four men, and for expressing a desire to live in a state governed by Shariah law.

In 2006, he told Ottar magazine that he thought men should be the heads of their families. “In my opinion, it is the man that is the strong person in the relationship. He controls the relationship, and the woman stands as a base,” he said.

In his article, Fridolin said that no one should be forced to engage in any religious practices at any school, even those founded by religious organisations.

“No child should be exposed to direct or indirect compulsion to take part in religious activities in any school in Sweden,” Fridolin wrote. “And all education should be completely free of religious infleunce.”

Sweden’s Social Democrat-Green coalition government has appointed the Swedish jurist Lars Arrhenius to investigate what sort of religious instruction typically takes place in religious schools in Sweden, and also to see how the new laws being considered could be written so as to respect the European Convention on Human Rights.

Fridolin stressed in an interview with Aftonbladet accompanying his article that the government was not interested in bringing in a total ban on religious schools in Sweden, as was once Social Democrat policy.

“From my side there’s no point in attacking Jewish schools which have existed in Sweden since the 1950s,” he said.

Sweden has over 70 religious schools, the majority of which are Christian, about 11 of which are Islamic, and a handful of which are Jewish.

Fridolin complained that the current regulations over free schools did not allow school regulators to investigate the backgrounds of people or organisations who want to start a new school.

“If a club or group wants to hire premises, we check who they are, but if they want to start a school, we say ‘just go ahead’. It’s totally absurd.”

Arrhenius's investigation is expected to be completed by the New Year.

Christianity EtcWhy Do You Believe That God Exists? Assessing The Scientific Need For A Creator. by Fegelfire(op): 6:00am On Mar 12, 2018
What is the reason you have for the belief that a god, a creator "being" with consciousness and thought and personality, began and "guided" the universe? This is a common theme to many religions, from Christianity to Islam to Judaism. Some people have left their religion (e.g. leaving Christianity, leaving Islam, etc.) but still believe that a god was responsible for the universes' creation (e.g. Deists, some Agnostics, etc.).

My question is why? What is the reason that necessitates a god's existence?
Christianity EtcRe: Did David Really Killed Lions And Bears? These Animals Arent In Israel! by Fegelfire: 5:55am On Mar 12, 2018
Lions, bears, an elephants were widespread throughout the Middle East and North Africa, before they mostly went extinct due to human activity. The Roman empire is primarily guilty for this, having hunted huge numbers of large animals for sport and for use in coliseums. So it is very possible that the Biblical figure David did come into contact with bears and lions.

This doesn't change the fact that there is absolutely no evidence nor scientific need for a god to actually exist, nor the fact that there is a gargantuan amount of study in all scientific fields which suggests that the belief in god is a relic of the early human mind and society attempting to explain and reason over the then unexplainable environmental and historical events that they challenged.

But go right ahead, it's not like Muslims were ever great at questioning their beliefs. The Quran destroys the freedom of the mind, caging it in a prison of unwitting and uncriticising adherence to the muslims' nonexistent master, Allah.

Why are you only focusing on Iran and Hamas? What about Saudi Arabia, who is the largest exporter of extremist wahhabi and salafi islam on the planet - from Morocco to North Nigeria to Kashmir, who treats women as second class citizens, has active child and forced contract (slave) labour, who bans non-muslim religions and the Bible, and who murders and violently represses people who break it's absurd Shariah law? Saudi Arabia, who teaches children that Non-Muslims and Shia Muslims are evil monstrous satanists to be killed, that "masculine women", "effeminate men" and homosexuals should be brutally stoned to death, that they are not allowed to be friends with non-muslims, and that when they have enough numbers to repress minority non-muslims?

What about ISIS? What about Al-Quaeda? What about the Al-Nusra Front, widely suspected to have had Israeli backing to destabilise Ba'athist rival Syria? What of the Taliban, funded and once ruled by one of Saudi Arabia's rich elite, Osama Bin Laden? What of the Jihadi madmen popstars in India, like Zakir Naik? Oh wait they're with the Salafis, and Saudi Arabia, and Egypt and U.A.E. Jordan and Kuwait and Bahrain. They're American Allies, Israeli Allies, so we just conveniently won't mention any of them - only Hamas, the Houthis and Iran! Wait, isn't that... Taqqiyah? shocked

Bitterleafsoup:
95% of the original art work was destroyed in England. Old paintings in Netherlands, France, Germany etc; clearly show the ruling class and elites were dark skin people.
This was a man who was alive before paintings existed. He was a hunter gatherer tribesman who hunted wild animals. They might've made pottery or cave paintings but not actual tapestries or the like.

Remember that this man lived over 10'000 years ago. There were piecemeal stories about Picts, a mysterious clan in what is now Scotland with interesting cultural practices like scarificatio who are now believed to have spoken a Celtic language, saying that they had very dark skin, though there are other artworks depicting them as fairly pale. It's possible that a small number of picts might have carried on the bloodline of people like this man, and had very dark skin. A more recent Pictish man from Britain 1'400 years ago looked more like this:

The first modern Britons, who lived about 10,000 years ago, had “dark to black” skin, a groundbreaking DNA analysis of Britain’s oldest complete skeleton has revealed.

The fossil, known as Cheddar Man, was unearthed more than a century ago in Gough’s Cave in Somerset. Intense speculation has built up around Cheddar Man’s origins and appearance because he lived shortly after the first settlers crossed from continental Europe to Britain at the end of the last ice age. People of white British ancestry alive today are descendants of this population.

It was initially assumed that Cheddar Man had pale skin and fair hair, but his DNA paints a different picture, strongly suggesting he had blue eyes, a very dark brown to black complexion and dark curly hair.

The discovery shows that the genes for lighter skin became widespread in European populations far later than originally thought – and that skin colour was not always a proxy for geographic origin in the way it is often seen to be today.

Tom Booth, an archaeologist at the Natural History Museum who worked on the project, said: “It really shows up that these imaginary racial categories that we have are really very modern constructions, or very recent constructions, that really are not applicable to the past at all.”

Yoan Diekmann, a computational biologist at University College London and another member of the project’s team, agreed, saying the connection often drawn between Britishness and whiteness was “not an immutable truth. It has always changed and will change”.

The findings were revealed ahead of a Channel 4 documentary, which tracked the ancient DNA project at the Natural History Museum in London as well as creating a new forensic reconstruction of Cheddar Man’s head.

To perform the DNA analysis, museum scientists drilled a 2mm-diameter hole into the ancient skull to obtain a few milligrams of bone powder. From this, they were able to extract a full genome, which held clues about this ancient relative’s appearance and lifestyle.

The results pointed to a Middle Eastern origin for Cheddar Man, suggesting that his ancestors would have left Africa, moved into the Middle East and later headed west into Europe, before eventually crossing the ancient land bridge called which connected Britain to continental Europe. Today, about 10% of white British ancestry can be linked to this ancient population.

The analysis also ruled out an ancestral link with individuals inhabiting Gough’s Cave 5,000 years earlier, , including gnawing on human toes and fingers – possibly after boiling them – and drinking from polished skull cups.

Britain was periodically settled and then cleared during ice ages until the end of the last glacial period about 11,700 years ago, since when it has been continuously inhabited.

Until now, though, it hasn’t been clear whether each wave of migrants was seeded from the same population in mainland Europe; the latest results suggest this was not the case.

The team homed in on genes known to be linked to skin colour, hair colour and texture, and eye colour. For skin tone, there are a handful of genetic variants linked to reduced pigmentation, including some that are very widespread in European populations today. However, Cheddar Man had “ancestral” versions of all these genes, strongly suggesting he would have had “dark to black” skin tone, but combined with blue eyes.

Scientists believe that populations living in Europe became lighter-skinned over time because pale skin absorbs more sunlight, which is required to produce enough vitamin D. The latest findings suggest pale skin may have emerged later, possibly when the advent of farming meant people were obtaining less vitamin D though dietary sources like oily fish.

Cheddar Man would have lived a hunter-gatherer lifestyle, making sharp blades from flints for butchering animals, using antlers to whittle harpoons for spear fishing and carving bows and arrows.

Ex-Muslim Girl Imprisoned for Converting to Christianity

A young Nigerian student is sitting in prison after leaving Islam and converting to Christianity.

Nabila Umar Sanda, 19, grew up in a Muslim home but began learning about Christianity while attending school at Bingham University in Karu. She befriended a Christian man named Simput Dafup who introduced her to a local church leader named Jeremiah Datim.

Datim taught Sanda about the Christian faith until she eventually decided to accept Christ into her life.

"After I met Miss Nabila for the first time … I interacted with her and asked her a lot of questions about both the Christian faith and Islamic faith. Nabila clearly said that she had made up her mind to join the Christian faith and was willing to be a Christian no matter what obstacles were placed on her way," Datim told the World Watch Monitor.

Datim notified the local Islamic leaders about Sanda's conversion, as it is customary to do so in that region.

"Knowing the sensitive nature of conversion from lslam to Christianity, and given that between the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Jama'atu Nasril lslam (JNI) … there is a working understanding, or protocol, that where such issues or situations arise relating to any of the two religions, the leaders of the affected religion should contact the leadership of the other religion from which the convert is coming, I immediately contacted the leadership of JNI in the state and informed them that I had one Miss Nabila Umar Sanda in my possession and that she had converted to Christianity," he said.

The Islamic leaders contacted Sanda's parents. They were not happy about their daughter's conversion.

It wasn't long before Sanda, Datim, and Dafup were arrested.

"I understand that her father has said he has all the 'connections' in this country to deal with me, Dafup and any other person found to have been involved in the conversion of his daughter to Christianity, and that he will ensure that we rot in jail. l want to state here without fear of contradiction that neither Dafup, myself or any other person that has established contact with Nabila has breached any law of this land," Datim said.

"I also learnt [learned] that Nabila's father reported to the DSS that we forcefully abducted and brainwashed her into becoming a Christian. l challenge the DSS to produce Nabila and put us side by side so they can ask her if she was forcefully converted to Christianity or abducted or brainwashed," Datim went on to say.

Nigerian Christians are calling on their government to release the arrested believers.

"Spread d [the] gospel of Christ anywhere and anytime that is our major assignment and nobody can stop us. This government taking wrong steps and no one fight against God people can win," one man posted while sharing the story to his Facebook page.

"Share until justice is served.Isn't there something called freedom of worship again?" Another said.

Christianity EtcWhat Is God's Body Made Of? by Fegelfire(op): 8:20pm On Jan 11, 2018
What substance is God/Allah made from?

If a divine being with intelligence created the universe, that means it would have to be something other than nothing. (Stating the obvious here)

With this in mind, what would God be made of? Christians and Muslims tend to give varying answers on where God/Allah actually is in relation to us and the rest of the universe. The three most common claims I've seen are "god is in another dimension", "god is actually in all of us" and "stop talking to me".

But wherever god's location, what substance would he have been made from? Would he be made from baryons, like most known matter in the universe? Would he be composed of exotic matter? or Dark Matter? How would he have functionally created the Big Bang? If God/Allah is intelligent (from what the Christians and Muslims tell us, omniscient), then surely he would possess something akin to a nervous system like animal life, or a computer. What kind of known matter outside electrons and baryons can sustain such a system? Why would he exist this way?

Which leads to another question.

Where did God come from?

If god/allah is made of some substance, where did that substance come from? How and why was god/allah omniscient? Are there other gods that came before Allah? Was Allah born? Does that presuppose some sort of celestial reproductive system? Is Allah simply eternal and, if so, why is Allah's eternity believed at face value, but the idea of an eternal set of universes unreasonable to muslims and christians? (google "Big Bounce"wink.

Don't insult brilliance by placing yourself within it. You are clearly not a genius.

You have not responded to any of the points raised in this post about fear of an afterlife, the existence of a god or the unreasonable obsession with religious dogma, and have instead regurgitated a pre-conceived spittle-dripping bile of theist damage control.

As with all comments wrapped in stupidity, a step by step breakdown is needed (I can't absorb too much stupid at a time, it's bad for your health you know?).

First and foremost:

iamgenius:
I'm very sure you know there's God.
You are delusional, and one of the blind god fearers I've mentioned in the OP. I do not believe in a god of any sort. I think that belief in god has an ultimately negative impact on modern human society. I have laid out the problems with the Christian and Muslim mindsets in this post, and you retort with denial.

iamgenius:
This fact only shows while you are facing a very difficult problem which can't be solved by any human being.
Context, context, context. Can you please provide context for what the piss you're on about? What difficult problem are you talking about? The contradictions in religion? Beyond human comprehension, you say? Maybe for someone like yourself. For me, however, this all just smells like more denial, just this time with regards to flaws in religion and the belief in a god and an afterlife. You perfectly demonstrate the point made in the OP that Christians and Muslims are cowards.

iamgenius:
Don't deceive yourself with material things.
I WILL deceive enlighten myself with material things, because they are the only things that EXIST. There is only one life that every person gets to live. They don't go to heaven or hell, or limbo. As far as we know there isn't any reincarnation either. Once you're dead, that's it. Done. Understanding this preciousness of life, does it not make you wish to make the most out of it, instead of being chained to a religious dogma that simply prunes your future into that of a god fearing mindslave?

Don't deceive yourself with the belief in an afterlife. You are not getting one.

Christianity EtcThe Fear Of God: What Makes Christian And Muslims Cowards. by Fegelfire(op): 7:21pm On Jan 11, 2018
I do not mean coward in the instance of being afraid of confronting another person, or being afraid of crossing a steep cliff.

Christians and Muslims are cowards of god, and.... of life.

They are so scared of death, they believe in an afterlife where they will live forever. This takes over their minds and every aspect of their day. They use the threat of eternal hell to chain people to their beliefs, forever in fear of their god above them, unwitting slaves to a tyrant overlord, never questioning this authority, letalone it's existence.

Muslims don't even live a real life. They believe so hard that they are going to heaven that they spend their lives in the most boring, monotonous ways, strictly adhering to ancient and unreasonable laws placed by their god, barely ever making use of their human potential. Imagine how many brilliant pashtun women who could have been doctors and physicists and singers and politicians and actors and artists, who spent their entire near-century long life trapped inside a desert tent being forced to copulate with some Taliban cretin? Muslim extremists are even worse, strapping bombs to themselves and blowing themselves up, believing that this is a temporary stop on their way to another world.

It is all about the future of the religion, about the heaven that is to come. There is not value in Islam for one's life, only how it must fit into the gears of the unforgiving Islamic Delusion.

Atheists are special because, among those who are not complete sociopaths, they understand the value of human lives. We only get one life to live on this earth, and that life is precious. We have the capability, arising partly from our primordial pack instincts and partly from our grandiose intellects, to understand that the same is true for others around us and that we need not necessarily take that life away. This can lead to a newfound appreciation for your life and the life of others, irrespective of animal instincts or religious dogma, something that Christians, Muslims and other religions that believe in the afterlife cannot understand.

One of the things about the religious that convinced me of atheism was through the sheer unquestioning adherence. To a being that could not be heard or seen or proven. That disgusted me. People blindly fear and worship allah, as peasants worship a dictator, as an abusive marriage, following his laws and doing his bidding without question, without reason. The same goes for God. They fear this so much that in islamic countries, you can be put to death for daring to speak against this evil concept. The concept of a divine dictator, who knows where you came from and what you're going to do, and had designed fate that way, but judges you anyway for it if you break his divine laws. That's a cruel, twisted monster. A non-existent, cruel, twisted monster of the brain that corrupts the minds of billions of Homo Sapiens and makes them live shallow, fearful lives bound to the temptation of eternal life.

Your arrogance suits you. Go make Google your friend, he has explained all you need to know millions of times.
No. It is you who is arrogant.

You made the absolutely stupid claim that voodoo is real, based on "unquestionable" testimonials from random unverified people you've met. You proceeded make delusional assertions of international brainwashing by a cabal of evil scientists who were tricking people with unspecified "scientific superstitions" into not believing in a "spiritual reality" that you also claim exists, off-hand, without any solid reasoning or evidence.

Then, when I point out your bullshit, you don't even respond to my points and instead ask me to Google the absolute nonsense you cooked up out of nothing. No! That's not how this works! You are the one being arrogant here because your points have all been crushed and you refuse to explain yourself!

Human were created

Whatever platform God came about, I'm still learning
That's cherrypicking information. What about beaches? Beaches are created by the tides, the ebb and flow of constructive and deconstructive waves over years and years. They require no "sentient imput" to exist. This is a human fallacy, trying to see non-human entities as humans. Thinking that the universe needs a creator does not mean that you have proved god, it just means that you are not fathoming the possibility of a universe so vaste and complex being able to self-actualise itself, because you limit yourself to the logic of what happens in our earthly day-to-day life and not to what happens over billions of years on an intergalactic scale. We are one planet in a milky way of billions and billions of solar systems, in a galaxy of thousands of known galaxies. We do not even comprise 0.000000001% of the mass of the known universe, and that's not even counting Dark Matter. It is widely speculated that life exists on other planets in other solar systems if the chemical compositions of planets supported life, and there is even the belief that life might exist within our solar system, beneath Mars' icy crust in it's underwater lakes, or on Saturn's carbon-saturated moon Titan. Thus, what appears special to you is, on a universal scale, quite mundane. This is key to understanding the flaw in the concept of a "divine creator".

Whew. Time to school some dumbasses. grin

ScienceWatch:
Tamethem spoke only the truth. Do not be afraid.
I have sat down and listened to many shocking, personal, live testimonies of people of Ifon Osun and Ile Ife. The powers of Juju, Witchcraft etc are very real. There is no question about this.
Since when are testimonies taken as factual evidence for the powers of voodoo and witchcraft? No. You would need to demonstrate this through physics or chemistry, an observed physiological connection between witchcraft practice and intended result. Between cause and effect. That is what needs to be examined for the powers of juju to be "real" or not, and there is every question about it.

The fact is that voodoo, juju and witchcraft are complete bullshit, but people sometimes have hallucinations where they connect unrelated events together. That could lead to the testimonies supporting the claim that the juju actually happened.

Yet another example of a religious or superstitious person not being able to think outside the box. I want to make a thread about this as I believe it is this feature of the very religious that prevents them from becoming atheists.

ScienceWatch:
Atheists have been scammed by corrupt scientists
Citation needed. In fact, reason is needed too. Who are these "corrupt scientists"? Are they a group of people? What are their end goals in this deception? How do you, an apparently enlightened Nigerian man, know all about this? Sorry but this makes no logical sense and sounds borderline schizophrenic to me. Again, you prove that you are not thinking outside the box.

ScienceWatch:
to worship superstitious scientific theories
Citation needed. Explain, what superstitious scientific theories are these that you speak about?

ScienceWatch:
about the reality of the spiritual world.
Which you claim exists and believe without explanation, reason or criticism. Don't you see the hypocrisy here? What is your evidence to the "reality" of a "spiritual world" (whatever that is), and why is it at odds with modern science, a study that can make artificial organ transplants into living human beings, and pilot supersonic rocket ships into space with pinpoint accuracy?
