We warned that the same way Hausa kids were turned to alamajiris so all Hausas can be effectively controlled is exactly how the Buhari regime will weaponize poverty to control Nigeria but they never listened to us. What do you expect when millions of farmers and thousands of farmlands were deliberately cut down? This is just small compared to what will soon happen. Many societies will be turned upside down and crime will skyrocket. Violence will soon spread because it's going to be survival of the fittest. |
Gov. Dave Umahi should be circumspect in handling the issue at hand. He must realize the enormity of his statements and the implications as it affects our people and region in general. Those he's trying to please do not care to say least if our land burn. In fact it is there ultimate desire to see it happen which is where his smartness is necessary to avoid giving them that leeway. We must learn from history of the 1960s where the Western region burned just for the benefit of the NPC. Like NPC like APC. Do not give the Sahelian terrorists the loophole to through which they can enter. We are smarter than to allow such happen. Dave Umahi should know that the Nigeria he is fighting for is dead already. There's no money anymore. The cash they're using to entice sycophants are from borrowed loans without any serious prospects of paying back. Oil output is low coupled with the difficulty in getting buyers. The economy is in shambles and terrorism plus kidnapping in the north has gulped billions of Naira to cement the downward trajectory of the shithole. Umahi is this what you want to fight your people for? Wisdom profits those who cherish it. God Bless IPOB God Bless Biafra. |
Eastlink:Never knew you are a fan of Hopeless Ozodimgba. Now the puzzle makes sense. |
Sirjamo:LMAO. Surely his head will be popped for the atrocities he has committed. Either his victims pop it or those who used him will pop it after finding him no more useful to them. He will serve as a lesson to all betrayers in the south. |
LMAO. Why don't they just join the Okada business and regain their wives? ![]() On a serious note, Gov. Samuel Ortom needs to sort out these pensioners. It's inhumane to treat them like that. |
Daily Trust the fulani media outlet got this news from an obscure media body known as The Washington Times. What's the credibility of this unpopular media outlet? Don't confuse it with the popular Washington Post. Below you can read for yourself. Washington Times media bias rating is Lean Right. The Washington Times bias rating is leans right. The Washington Times has the slogan “America’s Newspaper” and targets center-right conservatives, even defining itself as a conservative news outlet. The newspaper was created by Sun Myung Moon to conservatively fight communism, and also to stand as another, more conservative option to The Washington Post, which he claimed had a liberal bias. Because the newspaper is conservative, the AllSides Bias Rating™ for The Washington Times leans right. As of April 2017, a vast majority of the 14,000 AllSides users who voted agree with the lean right ranking. This number is consistent with the July 2016 results in which a large majority had also agreed. More On The Washington Times The Washington Times, founded in 1982 with headquarters in Washington D.C., is a newspaper printed daily. It was founded by Sun Myung Moon as well as the News World Communications. The newspaper primarily focuses on American politics, but also briefly covers entertainment, sports, business, and contains editorial and opinion pieces as well. The Washington Times identifies itself as “America’s leading online destination” for important news information with conservative viewpoints. The Washington Times was financially unstable for 33 years until 2015, their first year turning a profit. Today, just above 100,000 newspapers circulate daily, over 600,000 less than its competitor, The Washington Post. Sources: They struggled for 33years making no profit until 2015. Who knows the person that bailed them out from that year which happens to be the year the current terrorist government of Nigeria came up. Political analysts the world over cannot be fazed by the jaundiced opinion of such media organisations because they know better. IPOB is marching on and the gates of the shithole will never prevail. God bless IPOB God bless Biafra |
Igboid:I didn't want to comment until I read this comment. You clearly don't understand or know the worth of IPOB. Let me just make it clear to you today that the convulsion the powers that be in Nigeria are suffering today is because of IPOB. This alone should make you never to ever speak low of us. My long time expectation from your type (ndi ozizo-ochichi obodo umuanumanu) is what you are doing in this thread which I applaud. You must know how to prod (make your arguments) without blunting the tip of your spear. We all are fighting for the good of our land and people. Let me reiterate that we have no future in Nigeria (not in the 60s, not today and not in the future). It was the same factor in the 60s that led to the coup. The best chance we ever had to mould Nigeria as we wanted and give her the best opportunity to develop with all her constituent parts developing at their pace was during Aguiyi Ironsi's time. His lack of vision and strategy cost us what we are suffering today. Most of you guys who want us to play the Zik pattern of politics truly don't learn from history. Zik's politics was ineffective which made the young majors to intervene. If it was, they won't have involved themselves. This is a coward politics I must say because the only condition Sardauna gave for his region to be in Nigeria is if they are allowed to dominate Nigeria politically. This is the position of his descendants till today. Our best bet is to ask for equality which we know they will reject leaving us with only one option which is division. As it is in Sudan so it is in Nigeria. THERE'S NO ANY OTHER WAY. Reason with me and you will come to see the point. If you insist on playing Ziks brand of politics for the few crumbs of portfolios and contracts, you will forever live under the threat of a religious conquest. Zik was a ceremonial president when the open threat of dipping the Koran in the ocean comment was made. Zik was in power when the Western region was destabilized by the north for the sole purpose of conquering them through a willing slave called Samuel Akintola. Zik was there when Awo was incarcerated and Ahmadu Bello rejoicing that his party- the AG has been defeated and his region subjugated. If the young majors never intervened, the north would have consolidated their grip on the Western region and Lagos where they will gather enough resources and strategic position to launch their conquest on the Eastern region. How then could we be able to fight off such a situation? You must realize that the stupid competition between Igbos and Yorubas as to who will be the bitch of the beastly north doesn't help any of us in the long run. This is the truth. I hate the current posturing of some Yorubas here who know that it is the turn of the SE to get the support of the whole South for the Presidential race but choose to greedily want to front their own person. It is an insult and demeaning to even assume such but we must tell them to their faces that it won't help any of us in the long run. We must learn from history. They must see reason for equity's sake to support the SE this time around. On our side, playing their brand of politics which is opportunistic always leaves all of us in the South vulnerable. We can't afford such in this generation. In summary, I'll highlight the chronicles of events that shaped our history and the trajectory our current decisions will follow if we don't learn from them. 1957 (motion for independence) The north was not ready citing fears of the East and West bonding to rule Nigeria in perpetuity. She demanded to be given a majority in the parliament so that she will have a say in determining whoever will become the head of the government. The South foolishly agrees with Zik strongly against the secession clause to which others agreed. 1960 (Independence) Ahmadu Bello was credited with the infamous saying that this new country shall be the estate of his great grand father by which they will ruthlessly prevent the others from controlling their destiny by using the minorities of the north as cannon fodder and sellout from the South as willing tools. Before then, Zik's NCNC won in the Presidential polls but had to form a unity government with Balewa's NPC because he didn't get up the requirement for only NCNC to form a single government. One would expect ZIK (a Doctorate holder) as the winner to become prime minister while Balewa( a grade 6 teacher) the runner up to be the president but reverse was the case. Today we now know that the British blackmailed Zik into accepting that set up for their own selfish reasons. Does it resemble the ACN/CPC merger of 2015 (Professor Osinbajo/Controversial statement of result holder Buhari)? Zik thought he could wriggle his way up with time but Ahmadu Bello had his own plans too. 1962 (Operation Weti'e) When regional politics began, the Western region had two strong bulls fighting for control and that was the avenue for Ahmadu Bello to exploit in capturing the region. Through the federal support Akintola got, Awo was jailed in 1963 paving the way for NPC in the West as Bello boasted about his conquest. Zik could only watch having made no head way in his own plan. He was more satisfied with the crumbs of political appointments while Nigeria was very tensed. Compare with Osinbajo today. 1966 Coup d'etat Ironsi suddenly had government under his control but could not do anything with it. He could not protect his fellow tribesmen neither did he try equipping and defending the South incase of any major fracas even with all the signs before him. Eventually he was killed and the rest is history. Summarily, the naivety of both Azikiwe and Akintola in thinking that working with the north will benefit their region all turned wrong. Both regions suffered under such set up irrespective of the crumbs that they got from such association. Our generation can do better and must do better. Enough of playing second fiddle. There's nothing to benefit from it. Few juicy positions and contracts with the threat of conquest hanging over your head shouldn't be enticing to educated people. The SW and SS must realize that they have to support the SE as the only region in the South yet to produce a president. This is the right process towards equity. |
[s] ALMUSTAQIM:[/s] Are you scared your nightmare is being discussed? Don't worry that nightmare will suffice but your chances of survival will be higher if you can agree to face reality at your own pace and work to make your own bed on time. I will like to see a prosperous Arewa republic. Can you say the same of Biafra? |
mrvitalis:Before sharia ends in Arewa, a lot of blood must have flowed. The majority of the illiterate masses love it that way coupled with the fact that the sharia you see is actually a weapon used to put the Hausas down by their conquerors. Those elites won't want it out for political reasons while the hypnotized Hausa serfs won't want it undone unless there's a radical group that can wake them up to the stifling grip of that antiquated politico-judicial system. The Sudanese are far smarter than these ones in Arewa. |
You can easily tell the range of a man's IQ through the type of questions he asks. That said, let me just respond for sake of posterity. I can bet that in less than 10 years into the formation of Biafra and Oduduwa Republics, one of them at least would have won the Afcon cup. I'm very confident of this. Over 80% of footballers currently feathering their nests internationally are from this regions so it's quiet obvious. On the other side, I can bet that 50yrs after the break up, Arewa will continue to struggle just to qualify for the same Afcon. Don't even mention about winning the cup itself. The sharia grip will ensure to kill off the few talents they have over there. It is very obvious. Already you know they can never produce a female football team because that will be against their own brand of sharia. |
Taba21:Take alamajiri. That's a pepper doused handkerchief you can use to dry your tears. |
If you want the current bloodletting and intimidation from the sahelian terrorists to end quickly, willingly join the sit at home let's shut down the whole Southern Nigeria and middle belt so they will know that we can't be taken for granted. The level of insolence against Southerners is too much. God bless MNK God bless IPOB God bless Biafra God bless Oduduwa Nation God bless all lovers of freedom. |
[s] ivolt:[/s] Shuuushh fulani terrorist. Our aim has always remain the freedom of our people from the terrorist fulani government of Nigeria. The world knows about it. Alamajiris like you should know that your time is up. |
Where's the 'operation' to stop the genocide in Southern Kaduna? Where's the 'operation' to stop the slaughter in Benue? |

Communities are being wiped out in Southern Kaduna and Benue state but Nigerian army never went there to protect the people. Why then are they coming to Anambra state? This question should elicit some brainstorming from serious individuals. The reason isn't far fetched if we are to look at their operations any were in Southern Nigeria from recent history. They only come to kill and suppress the locals against having any form of local defense mechanism. Whatever the case, they will lose their aim in to the SE because we can never allow our land to be porous like Benue state did whereby about two millions of the indigenes are in IDP camps inside the state. |
What all the willing tools don't know is that the fulanis that employ you will still be the ones to finish you at the end. Adaka Boro is an example. They know very well that if you easily sold off your own people, you will tomorrow trade them for a better price so they know that they have to finish you off. Joe Igbokwe is just learning the first few things. Next they will come for his life and we wonder where he will run to. Let this be a lesson to other willing tools from the whole southern Nigeria. |
Lamanii22:Even the gruesome murder of their own staff? |
Janicex:How can 2,1/2 region intimidate 3,1/2 region if not for the foolishness of our politicians and some elites? |
egoldman:I believe that given his job description, he shouldn't be stoned to death from the flimsiest of excuses but my point is the reporters should have stated the reasons given by witnesses as to why he was stoned to death. This is how news are reported for future sake. Many years from today, if reference is made to this news, no one will still know the reason behind his death just like we don't still know today. |
stinechykee:Bro,try and read properly before responding. |
We need the alcohol selling/ bar owners association of Nigeria to take Hisbah to court over the destruction of their constitutional backed businesses. We shall see who will win the case. |
anorexicmuster:If you still think it's all about herding of cattle or grazing, then I can say you're far from knowing their intentions. |
Edusouls:For mentioning IPOB/ESN, you will be among the casualties that will posted here on nairaland very soon. |
[s] helinues:[/s] Why are you pokenosing in the affairs of the SE you mf^cking terrorist supporter? Mind your own business. |
An poorly reported news which didn't include the reason behind the stoning that led to his death. This is a technical staff of a whole national TV station that was stoned to death like a dog. Shame on Nigeria Did NTA even show the sad news for all to see? Shame on Nigeria. R.I.P |
Rexwalters1:I thought I was conversing with a rational human. Sorry I was mistaken. |
[s] Kaiser20:[/s] Why you dey Panadol for wetin no concern you? Allow us to worry about that. |
Rexwalters1:Are you blind to see where I wrote about the tears being enough? The pictures I was referring to are those ones before the formation of ESN. If I as a soldier die in the face of battle, I don't expect my colleagues to cry as the battle rages. The tears should come after victory has been achieved. Do you get it now? |
