Juliusmalema: Have we lost our conscience?
Have we no respect for human lives Soldiers watched on as villagers were slaughtered and their homes burned down just last two weeks in a nearby area. The soldiers said they were not given command to engage the attackers. You didn't comment on that thread. You didn't ask about human conscience because the victims were not human enough to you. What changed? Are the lives of the ones killed now better than those murdered last two weeks? Did you just learn to respect human lives? Will you from hence forth condemn the killings of any people and demand for prosecution of the perpetrators regardless of who they are? |

Politics › Re: IPOB: The Terorrist Group Working To Destroy Ndigbo by Fejoku: 6:44am On Aug 15, 2021 |
[s] Eastlink: The Metamorphosis of IPOB
Right from the time an unknown fellow called Nnamdi Kanu rose in 2014, many of us knew that his mission was to destroy Ndigbo. He came as a freedom fighter who jumped on the post-election grievance of those from the SE/SS to garner support and sell his evil machinations. From using his politically motivated Radio station in spreading hate speech, to fighting the government of the APC, it was clear that they were a secret vendetta behind the smokescreen.
While many illiterate Igbo masses became his support base, the majority politically daft ones overseas became his financial support. But behind that support, was an aggrieved political party using his platform to reign fire and brimstone for her loss in the 2015 general elections. And since the militant in the Niger Delta sold out already with the amnesty program, the next group to use was MASSOB (IPOB coincidentally, broke up from the former).
Why Igbos became the willing tool
Since the end of the civil war, and surprisingly to most Nigerians, the Biafran ideals never left the mind of Ndigbo. While our fathers were reserved, the newer generations embraced the Biafran cause as a rallying cry to speak up against marginalization. And they was a perceived discriminatory policy against us. Initially, the Neo-Biafran movement was noble when politicians didn't involve in the mix, but as soon as selfish interest got hold of the ideals it became a platform through which failed politicians used to hit at their perceived enemies.
Today, not only has the Biafran movement got hijacked by terrorist groups, it now seeks to destroy those it seeks to fight for. Today, the tacit support that IPOB got from Ndigbo is looking like an irreversible blunder. From deceiving the gullible with her messianic stance, Nnamdi Kanu’s led group now assumes forced leadership over the Igbo race. A leadership that arose by deceit and threats can never be genuine.
All the teachings of Kanu to his students are now bearing fruits. Kanu might be under arrest, but his foot soldiers who got their education from his Radio Biafra are hardened and now practicalizing his years of unchallenged tutelage. The beheading of Sabos, killing of Police Officers, and attack on government facility is just the beginning.
As days passes by, the more we begin to see the real terror group called IPOB. Just as IPOB members brag, Boko-Haram might be a child’s play if the group assumes her full terror attacks against the sovereign state of Nigeria. But ironically, like Boko-Haram who were restricted to the NE, IPOB will be restricted to the SE and parts of the SS.
But there is still a problem. While Boko-Haram had a structural command led by late Shekau before the break up of ISWAP, IPOB lacks a central command as every criminal-minded person in the east now runs their own UGM cell. This is why we see several unclaimed attacks and beheadings going on. And trust politicians to arm and use these terror cells to fight her enemies as seen in places like Imo state. [/s] Never knew you will descend this low. Shame on you. |

Politics › Re: TIME TO STOP THE IPOB MESS IN THE S’EAST - NEW TELEGRAPH by Fejoku: 11:51pm On Aug 13, 2021 |
[s] DeltaFire: TIME TO STOP THE IPOB MESS IN THE S’EAST New Telegraph 12 August 2021
For some months now, tension has heightened in the South-East and parts of the South-South geopolitical zones. The tension is owing to the activities of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its security outfit, Eastern Security Network (ESN). The groups were accused by the Federal Government of being responsible for the burning down of government facilities, killing of police and other security officials in the South-east. That is in addition to the burning of some private residencies of some individuals in the area, including the touching of the house of Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinmma in his Awo Omuma country home.
The allegation by the Federal Government and its agencies in alliance with some state governments in the zone led to the killing of many Igbo youths in the melee that followed. Several youths branded members of IPOB or ESN have been mowed down by security officials in the area in rather controversial circumstances. While the government claimed to have killed IPOB members and commanders of ESN, allegations of extrajudicial killings are rife, with many saying that security officers are killing, maiming and destroying at their whim. We had expected that the detention of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, by the government would have brought some sanity to the zones.
But it appears things are not improving. The number of security agencies on the roads, searching, frisking and harassing innocent citizens in the name of looking for IPOB/ESN members has not abetted. On the stretch of the Aba-Owerri road alone, there are no fewer than 30 checkpoints manned by soldiers and policemen, as well as officials of the Nigeria Security and Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps and many other agencies of government.
Incidentally, while some are on the road to search for criminals, others are on a bazaar, extorting money from commercial drivers and other motorists. While we acknowledge that there is a need to curtail the activities of the separatists, we do not think that stopping ordinary citizens from moving freely is good for the zone. Already, businesses and other concerns in the area are suffering collateral damage as a result of the face-off between the government and the group. Just on Monday, a number of people were killed, vehicles damaged and business and other activities grounded once again, owing to a sit-athome order by IPOB to South Easterners over the continued detention of Kanu by the Federal Government.
This has been a recurring event in the zone, leaving us to wonder who is in charge of the states -IPOB or the governors. We have no doubt that governments in the East have lost control of their states to Kanu and his supporters. Otherwise, how could the people of the region obey Kanu and IPOB against the directives of the government and even Ohanaeze Ndigbo? We believe that it is a very worrying sign that needs to be addressed by leadership at all levels in the South-East. That would also exculpate the governors and leaders of the area from the blame that might follow the activities of the group.
Can we say for sure that the governors do not control what happens in their states? Is it safe to say that IPOB has become more powerful than state governments in the area, such that their words supersede those of elected chief executives? We are worried that sadly, governors of the zone have become lame ducks in the unfolding scenario. We recall that around 2006, when Nigeria held its last population census, the then Ralph Uwazurike-led Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) had played the same role IPOB is playing now. MASSOB actively discouraged South Easterners from participating in the exercise. The result is still showing today as the region has turned out to be the least populous of the six regions in the country.
Sadly, after Kanu toppled him for lack of transparency and formed IPOB, Uwazurike appears to have seen the light and is back to Nigeria. But the damage he did to the South-East is still hurting the zone till date. It was a similar scenario with registration of voters in the region then. We have no doubt that many people in the zone are disenchanted with the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. That is ostensibly because of the lopsided appointments of the administration, its actions and inactions against the zone. But we can conveniently state that Buhari has a fixed tenure that would end on May 29, 2023. On that day, the Buhari administration would become history like others that came before it. That is the beauty of democracy. But can we say that the havoc being wreaked on the South-East by IPOB will stop with Buhari? The answer is a big no!
That is because the economic loss, the figures and facts that are being accumulated now, will haunt the region, even after Buhari has left office. Talk of self-destruction. That is why we strongly believe that by whatever means possible, governors and leaders of the zone have a serious job on their hands to stop the secessionist group and re-orientate their people towards working for the greater good of all. We do not believe that there are no leaders that can talk to the activists in the region.
We know for sure that some other regions achieved ascendancy to the presidency by agitations but we point out that the IPOB/ESN agitations are doing the South-East more harm than good in the scheme of things in the country. The Igbo have become suspicious elements in the political equation of the country since after the civil war. IPOB is not helping their cause. Rather, it is opening old wounds. That is why it is now incumbent on the governors to stem the tide against their region.
https://www.newtelegraphng.com/time-to-stop-the-ipob-mess-in-the-seast/ [/s] People who remain silent when fulani terrorists attack and kill Igbos but always rush out to accuse MNK and IPOB of fighting back are certainly not friends of Igbos and the SE. History has recorded that throughout all the times fulani terrorists attacked raping and killing women and farmers including the kidnap of commuters in the whole southern Nigeria, the combination of both the Nigerian police and army did not kill, repel, arrest or prosecute of those terrorists. Are we so quick to forget the plenty protest organized by women adorning black clothes or going half nude in the traditional protest mood of most Africans? Have we forgotten the cries of those family members that have suffered raising money for fulani kidnappers across the length and breadth of southern Nigeria while the government both state and federal remained apathetic to the sufferings of the victims? Was ESN and Amotekun formed just for show? Are we so quick to forget the resistance that tailed their formation from those who formed Hisbah- an illegal body that goes about destroying constitutionally backed alcoholic businesses of southerners? If you have forgot, we have not. Today those attacks are no more thanks to the efforts of those brave ESN and Amotekun men that sacrificed their lives to curtail the activities of those fulani terrorists in the South. If it wasn't for them, what would have been the fate of our communities? Has the threat from the terrorists been eradicated? NO. Has it subsided? Yes. Is there a need to disband these brilliant groups that stopped them presently? NO. Without defeating the sponsors and backers of those fulani terrorists that invaded the South, it is foolishness calling for the disbanding of these groups because it will be difficult calling for volunteers again. We must support and appreciate each and every one of them. Many paid the supreme price is bringing respite to our communities. The current terrorists in Asorock must be defeated before discussing any disbanding. We must not allow them set the tone of negotiation. They must not be allowed to use these groups to blackmail us. We must remember that they have not yielded to any political demands from the South rather they've been the ones throwing all sorts of devilish demands down South like the ruga, waterways bill and the damning Petroleum Industrial Bill. Finally, let us not forget the exposition of Dr. Obadiah Mailafia. The time frame he gave for a full scale conflagration is 2022. Any smart person will know that the least any region can do is to leave themselves defenceless in that year. In fact, those regions without a militia currently should be pitied because they certainly do not know how to make hay while the sun shines. Lest I forget, a cursory look into the recent hasty coverage of Boko haram surrender and the annoying hobnobbing the military are having with smiling terrorists that ravaged communities for over a decade ought to be thoroughly investigated. Why should you disband your security when so called soldiers are asking the people to forgive terrorists who destroyed their lives and communities? Are we this foolish not to see a script playing out here? While the Nigerian Army is doing a PR job for 12 years old boko terrorists, few months old resistance groups down South are being hounded by the same army. Where are your senses southerners? Something big is coming from the same sponsors of boko haram which till date are not known. Reasonable people will remain on the watch. God Bless ESN God Bless IPOB God Bless Biafra. |

Only a fool discusses and condemns symptoms without addressing the causes. Convincing a people through words without actions is called deception. We're tired of such deceptions over the years. Besides you can't convince a man when he can clearly see and feel the instituted injustice against him and his people. Seun though technologically savvy is without the conscience of humanity. For expressly saying you want IPOB to fail in the face of the clear fulanization agenda, he has exposed either his ignorance or hypocrisy. In any way, IPOB will not fail because of a single man's greed and hypocrisy. There's no future for Igbos in a Nigeria were an ethnic group of about 40 million cannot be a president. There's no future for Igbos in a country where they're hated and barely tolerated. There's no future for Igbos in a country where there are policies to starve them of federal sponsored infrastructures and establishments. Is it not clear enough? I'll like to know seun's take on South Sudan, if he supports their break away from the old Sudan and his reasons. I'll like to hear his take on the other countries that have disintegrated before. It's quite disheartening to hear a smart dude struggling with selfishness and having apathy towards the complaint of others. Seun's reasons in his 'no support to secession' thread is totally devoid of any logical weight. When your reasons don't capture the complains of a people whether those complains are flimsy or genuine but rather hinged on your love claims, one can clearly deduce your insincerity. His motive is clearly for the sake of his business which he fears may be threatened by disintegration. What he fails to realize is that his business will be worst hit if the current jihad being waged by the fulanis manages to gain control of most parts of Nigeria. What then will Seun do when he's told to shut down? We all know he will close business. If this is the case, why then does he insist on going against freedom fighters? Greed, myopia, fear, prejudice or a mixture of all. Whatever the case, who ever wishes IPOB to fail should in turn expect a reciprocal wish. Does Seun wish Sunday Igboho and Pa Ayo to fail in the quest for Oduduwa Republic? History will judge all of us. God Bless IPOB God Bless Biafra. |

I have a problem with African countries subjecting themselves to the whims & caprices of foreign overlords. First, only African presidents have been tried at the ICC. Former presidents George Bush & Tony Blair, who committed war crimes against Iraq & Afganistan are still walking free.
Recently, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli killer, who committed war crimes against Palestinians, is still walking free. And the ICC wouldn't dare ask for those men. But when it comes to African leaders, they get some courage and our countries are quick to hand over our leaders to them to prosecute.
Secondly, the so-called war crimes are against Sudanese people, not international people. Why can't he be tried in Sudan or within Africa where he committed the offence. Why take him to Europe?
Sudan must wake up and stop that silly move. Our leaders are still our leaders and must be protected. ICC should work hard to prosecute George Bush and Tony Blair first before coming for Omar al-Bashir. His likes in Nigeria must face the ICC very soon. Let the current terrorists take note. |

The question is why will a freedom fighting organization want to kill the wife of a staunch member just after alleged demise of that member? It makes no sense. The antecedents of a man speaks for him which is what udele don't seem to grasp. All he does is to attack IPOB without providing a single solution to the Biafran problem. What then is his aim? After studying all his actions, I discovered nothing tangible to believe him because his target is at variance to the benefit of Biafrans. He has never attacked the obvious enemies of Biafrans which to the call for secession. He has never demanded for a justice for Biafrans and has never written anything to promote Biafra. All his effort is geared towards fighting those dedicated to the emancipation of Biafrans. Only someone working either directly or indirectly with our enemies will behave so. His motivation is a misplaced vendetta and greed after he was found wanting and kicked out. He has resolved to fight his brothers and remain silent on the attacks coming from our known enemies. At certain times, he even shields them from accusations. Who in his right mind does things like this? We will continue to expose him for all to see. By this latest hint he has given us, it's clear that he wants to kidnap the poor woman so as to lay the blame on IPOB. We in turn will protect her. Let it not surprise you if he's gunned down in his kidnap attempt. We will continue to stand in the defence of Biafra knowing that their will casualties. Only an enemy of Biafrans will want IPOB disbanded without providing better solution to the problem Biafrans are facing. Today, over a hundred of our people killed by fulani terrorists will be buried in Izhi, Ebonyi state. Udele has nothing to say about it. In fact, he already claims the people killed weren't fulani victims. It simply means all the survivors and witnesses are wrong while he alone knows the real killers. IPOB on the other hand have risked lives and spent resources in defending that area. It's left for people of sane minds to draw conclusion to the character of udele- the scavenger. IPOB will never relent in the defence of Biafrans and Biafran. God Bless ESN God Bless IPOB God Bless Biafra |
