Karma at work?

The Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta(Indonesia) is notorious for being indifferent and locking their services away from Nigerians when they seek succour against the machinations of Indonesian authorities. He thought he was invicible but he just got served. Unlike him, the Indonesian authorities didn't see Onye dot ; they saw a Blackman who happens to be a Nigerian.

We still remember how some Nigerians attacked and destroyed the Nigerian Embassy in Indonesia last year because of the nonchalant attitude of the Embassy officials to their welfares. The ambassador has finally realized towards the end of his tenure that he is not beyond reproach. Low level immigration officials made him cry like a baby. I am sure that he is still in disbelief.

/
Can you elaborate on that episode where disenchanted Nigerians in Indonesia attacked the embassy because of the gross apathy shown to them by the ambassador and other embassy officials? This will go a long way to give readers a better perspective about the travails of the ambassador. Perhaps other officials and persons who feel they're untouchable and non-chalant may want to recalibrate their actions.

There is this video and pictures making rounds on the internet that some youths in Imo state protested against the lockdown ordered by IPOB, which was a huge success

I knew I had seen the pictures on facebook and that it was a religious walk and not a protest. What I did not know was that the so called walk was sponsored by APC. A simple search of 'Imo youths religious walk' on facebook took me to the webpage of a group known as "APC Umuagwo Political Group" where APC members in Imo state littered the page with their so called religious walk

Another webpage called HopeNewAndElectronicMediaCenter also has the pictures. The web page is actually a praise singing site for Governor Hope Uzodimma

They have since hijacked the pictures and said it was a protest against IPOB and the lockdown

This is my point that you can't seen to grasp. When a president threatens different groups to surrender their ancestral lands for the occupation of his own ethnic group or risk being killed, you shouldn't expect patriotism. The only patriotism that is required in such a scenario is to kick the bastard out of power by any means. Any other thing is termed Stockholm syndrome.

Don't be so naive. Victor Moses' case isn't much different from a lot of people. You have met on the road. It's just that you've not yet heard their stories. Those religious crises and communal fights that happened both in the north and south are very different from the ones happening currently. You will not understand just like the average black man doesn't feel the pain of others until he himself is struck. During such fights, there are bases/claims of wrong doings by both sides before the fight and the military is most times not biased when sent to end the fight. This way, no body blames the federal government for complicity but these fulani herdsmen killings of recent is clearly even supported by the federal government. After all the other crises, soldiers are camped in the location to restore peace and committees set up to discuss the remote reasons behind the fight and also make recommendations to prevent reoccurrence. Where have you seen this in the recent killings all across Nigeria? 100s of villagers slaughtered in the middle of the night and farmlands destroyed and nothing is said or done about it. If you're a survivor whose parents and siblings are wiped out, where will you find the patriotism to represent the useless country who couldn't protect your family and still never bothered to find and prosecute their killers? You must be heartless yourself to move cheerfully move on as though your parents and siblings were mere insects fit for extermination.
It's better you step up your thought process for your own survival. People are facing genocide is southern Kaduna currently. Before this week runs out, news will come of more killings of villagers and life will go on as though nothing happened. Is this the kind of country you want?

Declare State of Emergency in Southeast- IGBO Group Tells FG

Following the surrendering of state power to non state actors and terrorist organization called the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by the Southeast political, religious, traditional and socio-cultural leaders resulting to blatant abuse of the rights of the law abiding citizens and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a group known as IPOB-Rebranded has called on the Federal Government to declare a State of Emergency and suspension of the Constitution in the Southeast Geopolitical Zone until normalcy is returned.

In a statement released to journalists in Aba, Abia State by the group's Director of Media and Enlightenment, Mazi Chigozie Igboanugo, the group berated Southeast leaders for their deafening silence on the terrorist activities of their sons and daughters in the region.

The group who accused Southeast leaders of complicity in the illegal activities of IPOB said; "Since leaders at various levels in the region have failed to uphold the Constitution of Nigeria and protect lives and properties which they swore to protect and defend but rather gave their tactical supports to the illegal activities of the terrorist organization so as to use them to force political concessions instead of negotiating for power, we have no option than to call on the Federal Government to declare a State of Emergency and suspension of the Constitution in the region until normalcy is returned."

Nigeria is a nation built on sacrifices and still requires the sacrifices and efforts of all citizens to make her great.

If we may ask, where were IPOB members when Southeast leaders held strategic positions like Ministers of Finance, Aviation, Health, Foreign Affairs, Power, Commerce and Industry and others like the post of Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Secretary to the Federal Government, CBN Governor, Chief of Army Staff, Inspector-General of Police among others?

We have observed that IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was formed in 2012 with minimal activities against the Nigerian State. Infact, in 2012, when GoodLuck Jonathan who was massively supported by Southeast leaders was President, IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was championing the cause of one Nigeria and was leading the fight against Boko Haram from his base in London as can be seen in this video link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_-e20VWNKU .

But the moment President Muhammadu Buhari defeated Good Luck Jonathan in 2015, IPOB and it's leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu embarked on anti-Buhari rhetorics culminating in terrorist activities as can be seen in this link also
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDx8ywCU1B0 .

Since the hunters have learnt how to shoot without missing, the birds have also learned how to fly without perching.

Therefore, we urge the Federal Government to declare a State of Emergency and suspension of the Constitution in the Southeast region to avoid further destruction of properties, lives and infliction of pains and agony on law abiding citizens of the region.

Signed:

His Youthfulness,
Mazi Chigozie Igboanugo,
Director of Media and Enlightenment,

Someone with a questionable thinking faculty will still come on air to say Nigeria will be better. When I was young, there was hope after hearing such statements because I could see around me people doing exploits in all endeavours while representing Nigeria. There was relative peace even when the infrastructure was poor. Food was cheap and the society was saner. Today, non of these is available. It is a great deceit to continue to make that statement. Everything is in shambles. Nigeria is practically a Hobessian society- a totally failed state. Hundreds are slaughtered and nobody talks. People just move on with life as they await their own turn for slaughtering. God forbid bad thing.

Very dumb people from the South. If not for anything, even a goat will know that the mass surrender is a change of plan to up the ante. The fulani terrorist controlled government has not yielded any position or demands from the South therefore this mass surrender is still not for the respite or good of Nigeria as foolish one-Nigerianists might think. It is called restrategizing for consolidation. They're coming down South now since you fools don't want to take up the fight like they want. The date still remains 2022 although they may start it earlier since the secret is in the open already. This will put the time at November/December period. We know their plans and won't reveal much here.
Foolish southern politicians will be busy planning for election while fulanis and their Kanuri collaborators are planning for war. How dumb can a people be? They will milk southern politicians under the pretext of election thereby depriving the South of scarce funds and use the same money to procure arms for their people. Oh! Who will deliver southern politicians from this level of blindness and stupidity?
Christianity EtcRe: If You Are A Feminist, Don't Marry - Bishop Oyedepo by Fejoku: 7:15am On Aug 10, 2021
TalkTalkTwins:
In essence, we should all be feminists not only as a commitment to women's liberation but also as a way of encouraging men to hold conversations with women on sexuality, appearance, roles, and success. Being a feminist entails championing for the rights of women and trying to make the world a better place for women.

Feminism does not entirely challenge the biological roles of each gender as it only intends to revolutionize sexism by creating equal chances and opportunities for women and men. Feminism views people as human beings and aims to tackle the social injustices that silence people's will and power to exceed social expectations. Therefore, becoming a feminist normalizes women's success and allows men to strive to achieve even more in life.

Participating in the contemporary feminism paves the way for a prosperous and all-inclusive future society. Empowering women is not equivalent to taking away opportunities from men. Teaching the community to accord equal respect to women creates a conducive environment for success. Therefore, encouraging people to become feminists tunes their minds away from cultural and social constructs that limit their understanding of gender on sexuality and roles and allows men and women to become who they want to be without restrictions.
This I believe is the real definition and expectation the pioneers of feminism had in mind before starting the movement but today, the intention and actions of frustrated and disrespectful women have really smeared it. Feminism today is well understood by many as a group of rebellious women who attach no value to men. They want to be women and men at the same time making demands and still bossing around men. This has created the bad image most men associate with movement and there's no how men can tolerate it. It is not an African thing to deny women of power or respect in the society because across the continent, different tribes have stories of women wielding power and respect under different situations. Africans recognize and respect the contribution of any one irrespective of the gender. I do concede that in certain instances, the generality of women were treated biasedly in the past and support the call for reforms to get them a better general standing but the call for gender equality might be one that though well thought out, will be difficult to keep in perspective because of misinterpretation. It is well accepted that in a male/female relation just like in the society, men are expected to do more perhaps because they're physically more stronger and most times exposed to more experience. The women on the other hand are expected to play supportive role for obvious reasons. Now that there's a call for gender equality, does it mean men should see women as equal in all ramifications and still treat them as weaker partners? This is the conflicting area. In an equal partnership, rules are strict and defaulters are punished accordingly but it is not the same for a natural male/female setting where the man is expected to be the bigger person and shoulder heavier responsibilities. Do you see where the problem lie?
I want to conclude by saying that I disagree with gender equality as most women interpret it. Genders must continue to complement each other for societal sanity to remain. What we should be discussing is the call for respect and better appreciation of our females in the society to the point of allowing them aspire to their highest potential against traditional limits. This I will wholeheartedly support.

You should understand Nigeria history properly before you csn grasp things out
The fulani migration into hausa state began in 1800 by 1820 their jihadist began they overthrew... The hausas kings and established their emirate.... And their jihad continued

Incorrect chronology hence wrong history. Go and read up.

Benin in the mid 1800 was facing internal Civil war, which made the oba of benin loose is life, after the oba death another succession crises began between who would be king... Sucession tussle... By this time benin had already pulled out from trading with the europeans and was facing issues within herself a plague struck benin during this period guess the Spanish flu benins were dieing from unknown diseases.. That was brought by the europeans who always entered benin city to see the oba... So the empire was weak...

You just confirmed my claim that Benin was weak and could hardly protect her own border at the time.

This doesnt not mean it wouldn't bounce back... Because it wasn't the first time benin was burnt completely to the ground and was rebuilt and vassal state were recaptured

This is at best speculative. Kingdoms fall sometimes to never rise again to their former glory e.g. Egypt, Persia, Babylon, Songhai, Ghana etc. There were many guns in circulation in the late 19th century and too much pressure was on Benin from all sides. You even conceded that Benin abandoned Auchi. Warri was no longer cooperating and Agbor already freed themselves. Akure, Ondo and neighbouring areas got weapons enough to fend off Benin. This is the truth. In Igbo history, there's mention of 'Agha Oba na Idu'. This translates to the war of Oba and Idu(Edo). This led to the exodus of EzeChima and other Igbo groups from Benin. That I believe was the beginning of the downfall of Benin. By the mid 1800s, Igbo kings on the banks of River Niger (Aboh and Onitsha) never mentioned anything about one Oba of Benin. He had no influence anywhere near them. I hope you know about the Ekumeku war our Aniomas fought with the British at the same period. This is what Benin could have faced by that time. The glory of Benin had departed at the time never to rise again.

But there is a story of ekpende shrine in benin he was a powerful diviner, who was sent by the oba of benin to warn the jihadist against trespassing edo territories... He was believe he disappear from benin to auchi environs and when the jihadist saw is mythical powers they redrew back....

You're kidding me! shocked shocked You mean a whole kingdom had to send a telepathic wizard who doesn't understand the language of the enemy to go and threaten them not to invade and the invaders ran away? I hope you don't expect me to believe this fairy tale. Where was the Benin army to protect your boundary at the time?

But kogi their nearest neigbour was already conquered making it easy for social and peaceful pentration of islam from neighbouring islamic areas like 6kogi to influence their edo neighbours auchi

Kogi wasn't conquered like you want us to believe. The same thing the fulanis are doing today is the same thing the Nupe/fulani combination was doing to Kogi at the time. This got the Igala weakened but there was no defeat like was obtained at Ilorin. This is why there are no emirs there.

As for the yoruba raids like ibadan the news came to benin late but when the oba heard of it he sent an esan army to dispatch the Ibadan slave raiders out of edo north... And they fled

I'll need to read more about this. I can't respond to it now.

This were all attended to when benin was in severe crises within herself...
But non of this invaders could even come to esan areas because they were stopped at their first attempt and they withdrew the benin and esan were untouched by any invaders

You just didn't realize that Benin was on steady decline by this time and her chances of recovery was gone. From once controlling Eko in Lagos to losing Auchi and even tiny Warri. Benin city was devastated from inside that led to a lot of displacement. Benin was not going to recover from it at the time. Other people had guns too by the mid 1800s. You know the Benin/Igala war and how it went until the Portuguese guns arrived. The glory days of Benin was over. In fact she would have struggled to defend herself against other tribes in 20th century if the British hadn't come.

So don't mind the yoruba coward TAO11
TAO11 is an adept Yoruba historian but I don't agree with her that it was Ibadan that led to the fall of Benin. It is not true. I only agree that if the British didn't come for colonization, Ibadan could have threatened Benin badly if the Yorubas managed to stop their own civil wars.

I have related with both Hausas and Fulanis and I can say Hausas share a lot in common with Yorubas in the South while Fulanis have so much in common with Igbos in the East.

Contrary to what we are made to believe, Hausas value education and they speak good English. Fulanis were able to subdue them through religion (Islam) and Inter-tribal marraige.

Most Hausas you see can't speak Fulfide but Fulanis speak Fulfide and Hausa language well. Same way most Yorubas can't speak Igbo but the average Igbo you'll see today can speak both Igbo language and Yoruba language. The list is endless.

I must give it to the Nupes in Niger State and some Kwara State, those guys hardly do Inter-tribal marriage and have that strong bond holding them together.

Unlike Hausas, Yorubas will never be enslaved by Igbos. Azikiwe tried it dragging Premiership in Yorubaland but failed and has failed forever and ever.

Once the head is cut off, the body dies. The head of IPOB is off and the body is gradually dying.

There is a conflict of interest, between saving the leader of IPOB and fighting for the Biafran freedom.

IPOB now has 2 factions.

1) Those that want to suspend the agitation and release the leader.

2) those who want to continue with the agitation and sacrifice Nnamdi Kanu.

As soon as kanu was arrested, those who want to sacrifice kanu, blocked the account kanu has control over. They set up their own account to divert donations.

Those who want to release kanu at the expense of their Biafran agitation, have insisted that donations be made to the account that kanu controls.

Now IPOB declared sit at home every monday, claiming they are doing it for their leader to be released. This decison will affect igbo children who will write NECO exams.

Not only that, it will also annoy igbo leaders in the east.

The faction that wants kanu released and the agitation suspended, are made of kanu's immediate family members.

They know that they need the help of igbo leaders to negotiate for kanu's release. And going ahead with the sit at home, will make them loose interest in the negotiation.

So while the kanu family faction led by Kanu Nta, nnamdi kanu's younger brother, have called off the sit at home tomorrow, simon ekpa faction insists it will hold.

Guess what will happen?

The kanu family faction will work with the government and igbo leaders, and sacrifice simon ekpa faction for kanu's release.

Those on simon ekpa faction will be arrested, for the release of kanu.

The days ahead will be very dramatic.

Udele- the notorious scavenger. May all the enemies of Biafra know no peace all the days of their lives. May all those who directly or indirect support the genocide against indigenous tribes within the Nigerian space become victims of such killings.
