Business › Re: 7 Things You Need To Know About Home Business Before 2019 by Fela4ese: 11:57am On Dec 10, 2018*. Modified: 3:00pm On Dec 10, 2018 |
andreweb: Looking back on many unsuccessful attempts at home business, i wish i had received guidance from someone who had already been down the road i wanted to travel. i had so many failures that i started to doubt that success in a home business would ever become a reality for me.
Thankfully, i didn't give up and through perseverance i was able to achieve the success that had eluded me for years. Along the way i discovered many things that i wish i had known when i started this journey.
My success has literally transformed my live. i believe that to whom much has been given, much is required. Consider this information my gift to you. If we can be of assistance to you on any online business, please do not hesitate to get my contact from any of the links on this article.
1. Success doesn't happen overnight.
For some reason people think that they should become rich in a few weeks with their new home business and some people believe success should happen within weeks or days! i once introduced a man in his early 50's to an online business and he was excited. When we first met he complained that he had been working hard for more than 30 years and he was broke.
He said he never had any time for himself or his family. i told him what it would take to become successful and he agreed to do it. Then, he disappeared. A few weeks later he called to tell me that he was quitting. He hadn't even started and here he was ready to give up.
i asked him if he would be better off quitting his full-time job and keeping his home business! Of course, i didn't really mean that he should quit his job, but he had been working full-time for more than 30 years and he was still broke. He started his home business just a few weeks earlier and he never gave it a chance.
Why is it that so many people think that they should become wealthy in a few weeks? The answer probably lies in all the get rich quick schemes that are so prevalent in our society today. You've seen the emails or read these lines in your junk mail. No Selling, We Do All The Work For You, Make $30,000 in 90 days and on and on.
Those get rich quick scams cause people to think that every home business is a scam and that's not true. i recently talked to a nice guy called adekunle from ibadan who is seriously considering affiliate marketing. During our conversation i made it clear that he wouldn't be rich in 30 days and his response was the kind of response i hear often, "Thanks for telling me the truth. I'm happy to know that I'm dealing with people of integrity."
Most people who start a home business quit in their first 90 days and go back to their dreadful lives of desperation. Most people aren't really living. They are only existing. They're going from one day to the next without any hope of a better life. Benjamin Franklin said "most people die at 18, we just don't bury them until they turn 65."
2. Success doesn't happen without work.
I talked to a woman who said she was interested in changing her life. When it was time for her to make a decision she asked me, "Do I have to do anything?" "No" I replied, "once a month i will just back the money truck up to your house and unload!"
If you had a traditional business you'd have to open your business every day. If you have a job you've got to show up if you want to get paid. When you start a home business you can't simply sign up and expect the money to start being deposited in your bank account. There's work to be done.
Is it hard to become successful in a home business? Compared to giving all of the best years of your life to your employer and missing birthdays, anniversaries, your child's first words, your child's first steps and realizing that life is nearly over and in your golden years you don't have the money to do the things you want to do, no it really isn't that hard at all!
Success doesn't happen without work and it isn't limited to working your business. Are you committed to improving your skills and working on you? Read at least 10 pages from a great book every day. Books like "Think and Grow Rich" will change the way you think and when you change the way you think you will change your life.
Expecting success without work from your home business is like expecting a paycheck from a job that you never started. It just doesn't make sense.
3. You must be disciplined to achieve success.
So, you're working your new home business and a friend calls offering to take you to lunch. Can you afford to go? Your favorite show is on TV, but you know you need to be working your home business, what will you do? Perhaps the biggest adjustment most of us need to make is to be disciplined in our home business.
Let's face it in a work environment there is usually supervision. Many people fail in a home business because there's nobody looking over their shoulder to see that they do what they need to do.
Consider setting business hours. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, but asking friends and family members to respect your business and your business hours is an important step to success. It's also a good idea to have a permanent work space, so you can shut the door, eliminate distractions and get your work done.
This is a difficult adjustment for some people to make, but your children can learn that when Mommy or Daddy is in this room with the door shut that they are working. When you promise to call somebody back at a certain time you've got to find the time.
Discipline can be difficult with all the distractions that can occur in your home, but it is one ingredient that you must have to become successful.
4. Who you're involved with is more important than the business you're in.
Let's face it, most people don't really have a clue how to operate a business, any kind of business not just a home business. When we're young we are told to go to school to get good grades so we can get a good... JOB! That's exactly the path most of us start on, get a job, work hard, work long hours and try to get a promotion so we can work more hours and hopefully make more money.
We do that for 10, 20 or 30 years and then realize that we are never going to get ahead. That's when the idea that a home business could change our life hits most of us. We've been told to be good employees and that's what most of us have done all of our lives.
There is no substitute for leadership. If you are blessed to find somebody who has been successful in a home business and you know that they can sincerely help you change your life forever, you should jump at the chance to work with them. Make sure you're comfortable with them before you get started. So, what should you look for? You should look for somebody that knows exactly what they are doing. When you ask questions are they comfortable or uncomfortable? Do they have a path that you can follow and become successful?
5. Technology has changed everything.
Many years ago you had to get out and meet people and most business was done face to face. You could call people around the country, but if they had any interest in your business you had to send a package overnight. That proved to be very expensive.
When i was broke, I thought everybody that sounded serious, was serious. I was sending out packages several times a week only to find that these people weren't serious at all.
Then, the internet changed everything. You don't have to meet people face to face anymore, although I must admit it's still my favorite way of doing business. Today, you can upload a video in seconds, so people can see you. You can send an email with links to websites, videos and your contact information. Auto responders make you look like a Fortune 500 company, and nobody knows how big your business really is because anybody anywhere can have a great looking website.
6. It's a home business, but that doesn't mean it can't be a big business.
Most people that start a home business are looking for an extra $200 to $500 a month. What would an extra $10,000 or $50,000 a year do for you and your family, seriously! Maybe it's because so many of us have failed so many times that we just don't believe in ourselves anymore.
Once you understand the basic fundamentals of your new home business and once you've achieved some success, you'll understand that the sky is the limit.
7. As a Man Thinketh...
As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Joyce Meyer is fond of saying that where the mind goes, the man follows. Of course, it makes no difference whether you are a man or a woman, you are what you think you are. As i struggled in my home business it was easy to become discouraged. i had always failed. Those constant thoughts of failure surrounded me.
Then, i realized that others had succeeded. Why did they succeed where so many others had failed? Could it really be that the only reason they achieved success was that they thought differently? i was so broke and so desperate for a breakthrough in my live that i realized that i could not afford the luxury of having negative thoughts. There were plenty of other negative people that i could have listened to, but what was that going to get me?
There is nothing wrong with having a positive attitude. It is wrong to misrepresent your current financial situation. One of the most disappointing things i encounter in home business is the tendency that people have to inflate their incomes. There must be some school of thought that this is appealing or O.K. and it is not. Once you lose your integrity, you can never get it back. I have done everything i can to make it clear that a home business will not typically solve your financial pressures overnight.
Negative people tried to convince me that i would never have success in affiliate marketing. when they asked what i was up to, i told them affiliate marketing. when they ask what is affiliate marketing all about the? i told them it is all about recommending other peoples products and getting commission when sales are made. especially digital products like ebooks, softwares, webiners and so on. they often ask me who would buy those products? they were correct, in my first 2 years in affiliate marketing i made only 3 sales. which was about 60usd. the story all changed after i got a mentor that has the kind of results i already want.
in my first year after undertaking his course, i got a different perspective of affiliate marketing. i will show a handful of nairalanders exactly what he thought me that i started having the kind of results you will see in the source link.

ChangeIsCostant: A man and his family are lucky to be alive after being involved in a ghastly motor accident.
According to reports, the passenger bus which they were travelling in along with other members of Winners Chapel who were returning from the just concluded Shiloh 2018, crashed and somersaulted multiple times.
Despite the impact of the accident, every passenger on board came out alive and unhurt.
Below is what the excited family man shared online.
Just after being wired and imparted with the spirit of Dominion upon our father, Bishop David Oyedepo Ministries International, at the just concluded Shiloh 2018.
The devil struck trying to test the capacity of what God has done for my and the entire crew. The car you see below somersaulted 3 times with my entire family(myself, 3 sons and my housemaid) and 9 other members of winners chapel on board.
Our dominion God proved Himself again as everyone came out unhurt including my 11 months old son.
Pls celebrate our Dominion God! Father, God of our father Bishop David Oyedepo, we thank You for proofing and confirming the words of Your servant again in Jesus name Amen. . HALLELUJAH!!!

Travel › Re: Wakanow Has Intentionally Held My Money Since August by Fela4ese: 5:02pm On Dec 09, 2018 |
AfricAryan: Please you people should help me beg Wakanow to give me my money they've withheld since August.
I booked a flight with Etihad Airways via Wakanow on August 1 2018 from Lagos to Beijing against 3rd and 4th Spetember 2018.
Plans changed, and I decided to cancel the flights. I visited a Wakanow office at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja and the lady instructed to send a mail to her and all the staff at the office, indicating my flight details, amount paid, and my bank account details for the refund. I did that immediately I got home.
I did not hear from Wakanow after that. The next week I went back, and they confirmed that I will get my refund within 6 to 8 weeks, adding that before then I will get an email stating how much the refund will be.
I canceled the flights weeks before the date. I canceled in August and this is December.
Wakanow has not communicated with me. I have visited Wakanow office 11 times. Whenever I go, they pretend to call their 'refund office' and tell me that they are not picking up. That I should go, I will receive the refund.
I have called their number severally and they said I should email refunds@wakanow.com. I have done that twice. The 2nd time I sent, this was their response. I have replied to them since, and nothing from them again.
I DMed their Twitter handle, and they replied that they have processed the refund and I will get the funds Soon. Note that I didn't supply my account details. I said thank you. The next week, I DMed again that I have not heard from them. They have read the DM since but ignored it.
I went back to Wakanow office and reminded them of my refund. They all assured me that it would come. Judith even gave me her number that I should call her to remind her of it, if I haven't gotten it by the next week. The next week, I called her. She picked and I told her who I was. She ended the call and has not picked up since then. u better b ready to call them out.so long you did a normal business with them.its ur money n by all means look for avenue to call them out n give u ur money ooo |

SyberKate: Hi
So I decided to go into a long distance relationship with this guy I have not met yet. We just met online and have exchanged pictures.
So far the relationship is just one week old and I was in a bit of a situation where I needed some money. Nothing much just about 15,000 to solve an issue.
So I asked my BF if he could assist me with the money, only for him to start saying things like the relationship is still young for me to be making demands, that what if he starts demanding for s3xx this early in the relationship.
I said I wish I could have solved my problem myself but I really need all the help I can get. He still insisted that he hasn't even met me physically and I could be trying to swindle him for all he knows.
Then I said if he feels that way then no need to continue with the relationship and it was over, just like that within one week.
So do you think I was being unreasonable to make demands this early in the relationship. u were totally wrong must u ask for money in a relationship. Don't u have families to take care of ur needs or what kind of thing do u want that u can't inform or work for it.that's d reason a lot of u girls end up been used for rituals d quest for money, always having needs for one thing or the other.get sense ooo |

ramselly: My Relationship Is Tearing Me Apart
Hello Nairalanders!
Please i need mature advice only.
I and my girlfriend have been dating since 2015, she has always been supportive in everything and every business i do, thou we dont stay in same part of the country.
I have always told her i cannot settle for less and i cannot get married to a lady who cannot manage her resources and make do with what was available as i want the best for us. In 2016 we talked about setting up something for her to do so as to keep her busy and so i had to enrol her to catering school where she learnt baking n so many more. Fast farward to 2017 january, we planned in opening a shop for her, in july 2017 she got the quotation of roughly 700k for the shop opening the shop and buying Goods for the shop, In september 2017 i sent her 500k for her to commense with the opening of the shop but to my greatest suprise she never used the money for the purpose rather she used it in settling family issues. Its been a year now and i intend quitting the relationship because its not what i planned 4. Please i need matured advice. Sorry if my points re not clear enough. first and foremost before starting the business did u make it known to her that d money is strictly for d business and not for family issues?cos some girls still take some serious issues as mere joke.for her to use d money for her own family shows that she is not even serious if at all any of her family is in need of money why not inform u first and hear what u think.OK she thinks ur family does not also have issues I will advice u not to give her money let her generate her own money for d business if she is serious n I mean work for it not by sleeping with men ooo.let her start from d scratch n if she can do that then u support her n warn her against such act. |
