If you have the delivery address, why not go there with a soldier.....or set a female trap for him get his location and take a soldier with you.......

I put a call through and he blocked my line after I narrated my reason for calling.
No no no bros.

We need to be well inform of our laws and try as much as possible to abide by it.

What that guy did is a criminal offense liable for serious penalty.

Don't advise him or anyone to use a soldier personal to harass a fellow civilian, it is known as harassment and intimidation and such person can even press charges even though they're wrong and that soldier will be dealt with in the barracks. The best thing to follow up with that scammer is a police. Let him go and report the issue to the police, if he they arrest the guy good he will pay for damages aline side.

You have said well boss, but one area I'm not pleased with is the area you said riders are insulting drivers... To me its a two way thing, riders feel drivers r insulting them too (Go check on bolt twitter and see gobe cheesy), I think it's a Nigeria thing, no doubt this is not a job in the first place, but just another hustle and I've woken to other ways to make money, but its in the rise and fall pattern, which I feel an average Nigerian live on. I've seen someone without a job or hustle, begging for all sought for 2k look down on drivers, but do I have to flow with his/her ignorance? Nope! In d voice of Tony Montana "I've gat to look after my investment" its a means to an end boss and mostly a goat is worth arrival price, if u come dirty, looking like someone life have beaten down, you'll get same treatment from any one. Most rider up till this moment don't know some drivers owe their car

The issue is a two way thing, I'm not scared of anyone is not like that of soldier, if I can man him, I'll find other ways to play a fast one on him, but go at loggerheads with him obviously is a no no... In this part of the world there's no justice, what we have is interest.
100%

But I gave him a run for the money shall because I made sure I humiliated him and delayed his time as well. I was on a trip and I already concluded that would be my last trip for the day reason I wasn't in a hurry.

Mondays to Wednesdays I'm always on cooperate wear he too could see I'm not those bus conductors or illiterates he could man handle, ridicule or intimidate which i told him. I even told him it's the d uniform he's wearing I respext, otherwise, the both of us would have done it man to man.

At the end of the day while I was transferring I discovered he's from the eastern part of the country (Nwabuisi. P Friday). I just laughed and he asked why I was laughing I told him nothing.

So so sorry for your ordeal...

But the bitter truth is nothing may to happen to him.

Do you remember that guy SARS killed at Mangoro, years back? Nothing happened. I can list so many cases of oppression and death that nothing happened in this country.

The common man has a very slim chance of getting justice in Nigeria, and that's why it's best to avoid trouble when you see it.

I know I'm not you, but I would have simply begged him at the initial state and when people gathered....Save my time and save my face..It doesn't make me less of a man. You for just tell am sorry and leave. Drop your rider and get your next trip. Anything that is not bringing money no worth the stress

Instead of a danfo to scratch me because I want to claim rights on the road, I simply stop so he can carry his wahala and go.

Nigeria don spoil. E no fit change. So sorry for what you went through.

I pray you get justice

Conti...

To cut long story short. Some passers buy came and then they asked me to appologise to him and beg him I refused, apologise for getting hit? because he's a military man?? No! I won't beg him. More people came saying I should just beg him. Make e no b like say I dey stubborn since everybody is saying the same thing I then decided to beg him but the guy said lie lie say I must buy his long time broken traffigator. Everybody could even see the dust on it that it has long been broken.

I went into my car and then started making calls, before this time a soldier man was driving pass on the other lane towards Ikeja under bridge direction, he stopped and supported his colleague as expected and the both of them were boosting that they'll make me drink the flood water, they will do this and that. All this while I didnt say a word apart from the apology I tendered b4. After his colleague left was when I went into make a call.

The guy has been making calls of all kinds "where una don reach, bla bla bla... Passers bye where trying to tell me to beg him with any miney I've on me or do a transfer of at least 2k to him b4 his guys will come. All of these I saw it as trying to put fear in me but I didn't give in because I knew I wasn't wrong, I told them I'd no money on me apart from N250 which I showed them. Some weak just waka go while some stayed still begging the guy. While I was inside the car he then came to meet me ordering me to step out, I did, he asked who you dey call? I said I dey call my wife to transfer me money me no get 1kobo for me account and I no get cash. Na lie oh I was having nothing less than 10k cash inside d car.

The next thing this guy dragged me that I should follow him, to his car, that I should give him my phone I refused. Then ordered me to seat on the ground I still refused, the next thing na slap twa! I waa about sitting on the ground and I just gain consciousness, na so I provoke started vibrating, shouting, at this point I don vex, spit out the chewing gum I'd been chewing all this while (that was what has been calming me down all those while) before i knew it more people don gather na so we come dey talk go here and there. Soldier man still dey make calls...

Las Las the stupid guy gave me his account number and I did transfer to him. My rider wanted to so the transfer to him but I told him not to worry because I wanted his details which finally did.

I've reported the matter of Twitter tagging the Nigeria army, the Nigeria Senate, @nigeriainfo 99.3fm and some other persons.

If you have anyone you know can help fight this injustice I xan tag pls kindly give me his Twitter handle. I took a short video of the man and his car without him knowing for evidence.

I believe he must have been doing this to innocent civilians all this while but I promise myself this would be his last.

Modify:

As a matter of fact, do you know it's an offence in the Nigeria constitution to make love inside a car?? And the punishment attracts 2years imprisonment.

So you should even applaud me I didn't even get them arrested for makingoff in my and messing up my car.

Okay! To all my ogas in the house, to my friends, even to those we do not agree I hail una ooh... Most importantly to my fans I just want to say I love you all. Please know I'm your loyal boy

So, I was on a trip from somewhere around ogba to Akowonjo Road and the traffic was mad so I decided I should go through Oba-Akran. Coming in from that link road from Adeniji Jones into Oba Akran there was serious traffic due to the heavy downpour and the normal ruah hour. So I'd already joined the service lane into oba akran, the flood was high, for me not to enter into any dish since I couldn't see the ground I decided to join the run way on my left. I navigated and as the vehicle in my front move I'd conveniently swerve unto to left lane without any obstacle in my front.

All of a sudden I started hearing horn and a bashing sound from behind just by my back bumper and I look through my side mirror only to see a Camry (pencil light) car doing damage to my back bumper. I immediately stop, opened my door to look and as I was get looking all I could see was the driver coming out shouting, insulting me "you're mad, you're this and that"... " why would you enter my front just like that?" A soldier guy in his uniform.

At this point, I didn't say a word because I just weak seeing he's a soldier guy. In my mind I was like "dam this guy is lucky he's a soldier" though there was no damage in both cars just the normal scratches hydraulic fluid can clean off. But his own car his full with all kinds of dents from bashes, and from the looks panel beater is still working yet to be painted. As he was yet talking "you go pay today", I was just looking at him and he too could tell that my look was full with insults and curses in my mind.

I entered my car then cleared not to cause traffic the stepped down of my car to looked at both cars. Nothing serious on both cars apart from little scratches on my end. Looking at his own car same thing apart from his right trafigator light which from the look has been broken for a long time and one can visibly see dust even in the sucket and no bulb inside self.

To be continued...

Do you know the cost of maintaining a 2016 corolla?

My broda, you don't want to go that route on a #60/km. #11/min billing.

That fare will NEVA maintain a 2016 corolla.

They are new cars, so? they won't undergo wear and tear..

So wat happens if you get a trip to Baruwa inside, iyana ipaja, Old -ota road, Kola, agbado axis... You will gladly drive a 2016 corolla there or you will decline.

.Dont sweat it bro.. No wave is coming......

Uber Nigeria will NEVA upgrade cars, you know why? Simple ! The Lagos economy can't sustain such cars.

Don't deceive yourself, Lagos doesn't even rank tops in terms of riders and usage in Sub Saharan African cities. What % of riders versus a population of over 20 million.
.

So? What is d hype about.

If you were an investor, will you buy a brand new car for fares of #60/ km.?
No comment my lordship.

Bros your money correct na they didnt cheat you.

230 x 10 = N2,630
18.7km x 65 = N1,215.5
Base fee is = N200
Total is N4,045.5

They even did well by rounding it up to 4,100. Uber would pay N4,000

The reason is better in time spent is because it's N11\min which would have given you N4,215.

If and when they decide to swing with it, it would/could be to the advantage of drivers at the detriment of bolt or any ride-sharing app as they (moove and drivers) would be exclusive to uber. Riders would abandon our old cars and want to enter fresh grin 2016 car.

There would be more customers on uber hence more trips. It’s a rental model with all maintenance taken care of by them plus some other things.

Think of it as a strategy for Uber to reclaim market share. Me for one would collect the fresh car o. Imagine spending zero naira lol all you just have to do is drive and have sense.

They have money to spend. Let’s help MOOVE lagos biko.
My thought exactly. They even offer to fuel your car the only thing is they're in total control of your account therefore more card trips so that you dont have means to make excuse to remittances.

The only thing is doing off line trips as they may lock you car engine remotely if you've not work up to their weekly rental.

And drivers may not be able to travel outta state for off trip job.

One thing I'm confident on is that they would make uber bend the car requirements so that their cars would have more leverage to operate on the platform.

Because 2000 car and 2016 car no be mate my guy make we leave sentiment.

Forget bad roads, these are brand new cars and they'll select drivers base on their rating, numbers of trips completed and that new drivers thing uber came up with few month ago (gold, bronze, platinum...)that I'm very sure of.

So this guys are up to something.

My advise to investors is this, stop buying cars for uber if you must buy get a 2014 car upward bros very soon the old cars would be thrown outta the system naturally.

Anybody that takes this offer will be a slave forever.

2016 corrolla for trips of #800, #1,200- #1,500. Tops #5,800 -#6,000somtyms if you are lucky

This model can't work in Lagos.

How can you use corrolla 2016 for taxi in Lagos. Very absurd. Where are the riders that can pay for such luxury?

Thing I have with guys that draw up business plans. A lot of them just holed up in their offices quoting figures. No street orientation.

How can you bring a biz plan for an advanced country to implement in a developing country like Nigeria. .

No tweaking whatsoever!

Where are the roads?
Bro from the way uber itself is going due to the world pandemic you need to position ourselves along change oh. 2016 Toyota car! And they mentioned somewhere that they're the preferred uber flirt company. So don't you think this guys have the power to rent uber for like 10yrs and regulate the rules to suit them? One of the rules they may come up with is that uber will only accept car from 2010 or 2012 upwards just to make them relevant.

Mind you, Americans has a way of signing contracts and they respect their contract a lot.

So I see a very big wave in the nearby future with availing coming from uber especially.

Mind you, no rider would want to ride on a 2003 car when he can as well get same service on a latest and comfortable car like 2016.

So guy, you better stop fighting against the prick instead join the moving train.

Perhaps in Nigeria but not in the U.K.
Riders have the right to end a trip but drivers don’t have the right to do so without a very cogent reason , if you ask a passenger to leave your car, you might get blocked and arrested, supposing the rider dosent get home or is not found , the company will get bad publicity and the driver might be charged for criminal negligence
Boss, I won't argue with you sir after all the only times I went to the MM1 na when I go drop off oe pick up passenger but one thing I'm sure of is the western world is more advance intellectually and in human right than we Africans.
