1. Your American Fiance(e), Spouse or a qualifying relative can apply for an immigrant visa.
2. If it is accepted by USCIS and NVC (if all documents are correct), you get NOA1 and NOA2, the NVC number and follow the process as usual until the Interview.
3. You can be approved in the Interview but NO visa will be issued as there will be NO Priority Date for you because of the Ban.
4. Your file goes to Administrative Processing until the Ban is lifted or you have a very special situation and your waiver is approved.
5. When the Ban is lifted, all applicants are in line to get the interview and medicals, police report again. It will be a long line (many people waiting) and the process will be longer even with the ban lifted.
6. Better to apply now or after the ban is lifted? With Immigration it's better to start the process as soon as you can. Sooner you start, sooner your approval will come, it will be a very long waiting time, line of people.
7. If your documents and payments are accepted, you will not to apply again unless your petition is denied. Just waiting in line until the Ban is lifted.

I have interview date February 27 , I am parent of a citizen. All documents submitted and accepted and also I have done medicals with Q-Life. Obviously from ongoing it will be denied. I will not also apply for waiver since I am not so desperate .So what happens? Confusion.

*My Parents inlaw received their Immigrant visas stamped in their Passports today since they had their interviews last year Dec, 2019.

*IV expiration date is 4th May 2020 so na to begin preparations.

It looks like issue date was the date of interview even though they did not receive the visa until more than 2 months after . That is very bad of the US embassy.

There are TWO classes of Family-based immigration - Immediate Relative and Family Preference. How does the ban affect Immediate relatives (IR). The immigration webite states that availability is UNLIMITED.

"Immediate Relative – these visas are based on a close family relationship with a U.S. citizen, such as a spouse, child or parent. The number of immigrants in these categories is not limited each fiscal year"

I have been thinking the same. The explanation so far has been general immigration visa but as we know immigration visa types are not the same (employment, IR, F etc) . I learn that even in countries under ban family visas for spouse and parents of US citizens are still considered for approval. Will they still enjoy that privilege in Nigeria too?

It took Chad 7 months to be removed from the ban. Probably one year for Nigeria if Buhari does not go mad again and start forming superstar .

Someone who started family based immigration visa application 2 years ago and is due to attend interview on February 24 is now barred. And somebody says there is nothing like village people.

But it is plain to see that the program is heavily scripted from the curious performances of the participants all of them professional actors and actresses . This Programme seems to benefit only people who know or even care what VO is . It is only useful to those in performing business . So far the aging Nkech with only her fat ass going for her seems scripted to win, otherwise JoJo who mysterious faked a stage panic may be voted back in to clinch the prize . You can slice your okro then boil it in a pot with water, a little kaun added.
