Are you a good writer and enjoy writing? If the answer is yes to these questions please read on…

Our company is a UK based company and looking for 2 people (perhaps 3) to fill up new writing positions available for probation or internship.

The company owns and operates two online platforms, a cashback site that connects UK online merchants with consumers. The second site runs on a different platform, a community directory portal.

You will be working directly with UK office and should be reachable online and by phone. Ability to meet a deadline is important.
This is 3 months probationary/internship period position that will turn to a full-time permanent position for the right person.

We are looking for a proactive, creative and ambitious writer to help with:

- Writing about what our merchant partners do, their products/services and benefits. (it is very straightforward as it is basically rewriting about 100 words description per merchant but plagiarism free)
- Writing and researching articles
- Social media campaigns posting (e.g Twitter, Facebook, forums)
- Updating and editing article contents

Requirement:

- Access to the internet is essential.
- You must be web savvy
- A very good grasp of the English language will be especially advantageous.
Remuneration:

Our pay package starts at probationary level and rises at incremental level every 3 month until 1 year period.

0-3 months N14,000/monthly (Probationary period)
3-6 months N20,000/monthly (After probationary period)
6-9 months N27,000/monthly
9-12 months N34,000/monthly

By the end of one year, you will have learned so much about our partners and an in-depth understanding of what makes our targeted users tick. This, we see as very valuable, and your salary from 1yr on - will start as follows:
- N47,500+/monthly (naira). – Open to upward review as we see necessary.
- In addition to this, you will start receiving discretionary bonus pay every six months.

Please send us your C.V. with a covering letter/email and an example of your written work.

N.B. we are really sorry but as we always get a lot of responses we can only reply to those applicants that are successful in their initial application. Nothing personal. We do read ALL CVs that are sent, honest, we just don’t have the time to reply to all!

Ogbuefiora, you should learn to be matured. Your comment here shows you lack judgement and observation. This is not a place where one can exhibit lack of respect and regard to other people. I should tell you that Nairaland is an online community to share ideas, to really help each other and respect each other. It is not a place where anybody can display and shout folly.

Try to contact everyone who has left their emails in this thread if no communication has taken place. Those selected are happy. Those that are not selected are communicated with, while some are offered a related thing.

Just read two posts above your comment, didn't you see that I already put notice there that I am not taking any more people?

Repeated behaviour like this will be referred to the moderator of this forum.

Please let us learn to respect other people or to behave wisely. This helps the community to move forward.

Properties / Re: F.c.t( Abuja). Availability Of Direct Government Allocation by femi1632(m): 1:50pm On May 20, 2009
Abuja 11, even though you are not a FCT Minister to know the following question still it will be helpful if you can draw from experience and knowledge to enlighten on general idea on:

1. what price range it may be? (I know that your answer is an unofficial guide but it may help those people who are  complete novice in preparation and decision making process) For example, someone who can only afford N1 million for acquisition of land in government land allocation in abuja may receice a shocker from the offer letter that he should come and pay, say N12 million for a plot.

2. Even if this person is asked to come and pay this collossal amount of money, What is the likely period of time from receiving the offer letter and payment deadline. For example, do government usually give, as an example 6 months, to make payment to enable one to rally about to get this money, or could the period be as short as  14 days to make payment?

Drawing from your experience and knowledge to answer these questions can help people to decide.

OR DOES ANYONE KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS TO GIVE GENERAL GUIDE?

Properties / Re: A Renewed Call For Property Sellers To Post Pictures by femi1632(m): 1:37am On May 15, 2009
Some points raised by Lawyer makes sense while I disagree with some other points.

For how long are we going to market house sale or house buying online without pictures in this digital age? This is somehow primitive!

What has armed robbers got to do with this if you post photo of house for sale online? There is no need to put full address there. Mentioning the disctrict the house is located for prospective buyer is just enough. For example, just mention Ikeja, Oshodi, VI etc is all you need. Then you and prospective buyer will dialogue on the rest and arrange physical viewing if terms were being agreed on.

On the issue of fraud, I will expect any reasonable and careful buyer to surely employ the service of any law practitioner.

People are becoming internet savvy and expecting quality service that will make things easier for them too. I have been shown horrible properties in the past. I would not have wasted my much valuable time if I had seen some photos of such properties. It is high time to start posting pictures. This is modern and digital age.

Thanks for your valuable comment on this. One would have expected Ibadan to have at least one factor that will attract people to settle there. It is a pity that nothing new is happening there compared to some states in the country. The governor needs revival.
Properties / Where To Settle - Ibadan Vs Abuja? Analyse Or Give Your Opinion Please by femi1632(m): 3:51am On May 13, 2009
I would like people to share their knowledge of these two cities, (Ibadan and Abuja) and shed more lights to help and enlighten some folks planning to settle in either of the cities.

Of course, these cities must have their strengths and weakneses. What are their advantages and disadvantages? What are the opportunities and threats in these two cities? Where would you settle in despite any known disadvantage?

Your kind opinion and advice will be appreciated by Nairalanders who need to know as well.

Adverts / Who Would Like To Do An Easy $25 Dollars Job For Me? by femi1632(m): 12:30am On Jan 14, 2009
Hi,

I need someone to do a simple investigative/research work for me. My contact person in Nigeria is already doing the task for me, but I do not want to rely solely on his findings for a reason. I would need a neutral person to do the same task for me in order to compare how accurate the findings of my contact in Nigeria is.

Here is the task:

1. Where can we buy a roll bundle in Lagos for traditional dresses such as Ankara, Guinea and Lace? Which market? If possible give at least 2 shop addresses from which you get your quotation and the phone number of the seller.

2. How much is the roll bundle for each traditional dress?

3. I am interested in quality material only

If you are interested in doing this simple research work, please send private message to me on nairaland. In your message, include any question you may want to ask me regarding the assignment, which town/city are you based, why do you think your findings or information you will find out for me will be better than the person I already sent. Please include your contact info like mobile phone.

If you want to get paid, you must get a go ahead confirmation from me first.

Once you have reported your findings for me, I will bank transfer the money to you. [$25 value]

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Anyone interested in this should at least have been a nairaland member for 3 months and have minimum of 20 posts in the forum.

The person I select will get other simple assignments like this from me and from time to time.
