ravensckar: It's not a defensive option! Andre Santos or Essugo will take the load off Caicedo, thereby allowing Enzo to play box to box. Then, Joao Pedro can comfortably move back the striker position.
Maresca has a habit of killing an ant with a sledgehammer. That was his undoing last season, hopefully, it won't be his undoing this season as well.
I can't imagine a season where Man City where being beaten by everyone, Arsenal was being a dîck as usual, Man Utd was being pummeled left right and centre. Yet, Chelsea couldn't mount a decent title challenge. If he makes the same mistake this season again, then we'd be where we were last season being content with top 4.
On that your last statement, unless you're being deliberately over-supportive, I doubt you can place your hands on a Bible to say you really believed what you typed. GEORGE (as a top 9) was totally useless in that match! Both of them are defensive players. They play same role as Caicedo. None of them can play 9 or support 9 Not a rocket science...wingers are used as make shift no 9 in emergency cases like this You have an attacking player in George on the bench. It was a right call. George as an attacking player is ahead of Santos n Essugo (see facts below)...Qed! Facts Chelsea are set to sign Dario Essugo According to those who have watched him closely say that his style is very similar to CaicedoAndrey Santos is a professional footballer from Brazil who plays as a Center Midfielder (CM) for Strasbourg Tyrique George He operates predominantly on the left wing but can also play as an attacking midfielder |

ravensckar: To be honest, I understand you clearly. Some of our senior players need rest.
However, introducing GEORGE was a gamble that could have backfired had that Fulham's goal not ruled out. An elite coach of his calibre shouldn't be making such kindergarten mistake. He has options! Andre Santos or Darrius Essugo.
Secondly, did you notice how overworked Caicedo & Joao Pedro were? For Caicedo, I can understand. But Joao Pedro needs to be adequately managed because he's injury prone. Man management is something that MARESCA needs to work on. I even heard him insinuating that he needs a new Centre Back due to Colwill's injury. For God's sake, Fofana is back (though he's injury prone). He has Badiashile as well. Why did he loan out Anselmino only to be crying that he needs to sign a new centre back? I'm glad the board didn't even listen to him.
Finally, did you observe that he later corrected his mistake by taking off GEORGE? Maresca was just fortunate today, he would have messed things up.
Great play by the boys! They didn't start well but they sure finished well. He didn't correct his mistake. He went defensive at the right time You can't lose your no 9 that early and replace them with defensive options you mentioned |

givedemwotowoto: From Sept 1, 2025, Nigerians will pay N100,000 for a standard international passport. According to the Nigeria Immigration Service, the cost was increased in a bid to uphold the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Passport.
Obviously, the cost of getting an international passport is now higher than the national minimum wage and I was curious, so I looked up how passport fees compare with monthly minimum wage globally (including African countries) and this is what I found. The percentages show how much of the minimum wage it takes to afford a passport: Naija ...I dey hail o |

questioner: I did a business about 2 years ago outside of my 9 -5 and got reimbursed a pretty sum.
I had a plan that I started working on late last year, hoping it will materialize by mid this year but it fell through. This week I just decided I wasn't going that line again.
I need to chart a new course by max early 2026
What's been running through my head now is 1. Japa - Leave thru the Acad route and when done, see what's next 2. Land - Buy in a good location and possibly 2 (or multiple) plots 3. House - Buy a small piece in a modest location and build 2 units of small apartment, one for rent, one for personal usage
Just decided to put this out there anonymously - If you were in my shoes which option will you choose, which will you definitely avoid and importantly why ? Stay n build...japa has lost its glory |
