Sports › Re: Who Are The Top 3 Goalkeepers Of This Generation? by femi4: 6:18pm On Aug 23, 2025
obembet:
We’ve witnessed some legendary names between the sticks over the past decade. All in their prime, who makes your Top 3 Goalkeepers list?

1. Manuel Neuer

The benchmark of modern goalkeeping. World Cup winner (2014), Champions League winner, and the original sweeper-keeper.

2. Thibaut Courtois

Monster between the posts. Champions League 2022 final performance alone showed why he’s one of the greatest shot-stoppers ever.

3. Alisson Becker

Elite balance of shot-stopping, distribution, and leadership. Crucial for Liverpool’s Champions League and Premier League triumphs.

4. Marc-André ter Stegen

Brilliant reflexes, great passing ability, and consistency at Barcelona.

5. Ederson

Possibly the best distributor of the ball among all goalkeepers. Changed the way City build from the back.

6. David De Gea

In his prime (2015–2018), he was nearly unbeatable, saving Manchester United countless times.

7. Gianluigi Donnarumma

Still young, but his Euro 2020 heroics showed his peak potential.

8. Emiliano Martínez

Clutch performer, especially in penalty shootouts (Copa América & World Cup). Not as consistent overall as the top names.

9. Édouard Mendy

Short but brilliant peak (Champions League 2021 run with Chelsea). Didn’t maintain top form long enough compared to the rest.

Wetin concern me with VDM?
Buried at ungodly hour by who? You're probably insinuating his dad.
If you're truly Yoruba then you should know parents don't get involved in burial rites for their children.

Now, it's no more Marley, the dad is the suspect.
The Dad that wasn't even on the island with them?

Omo!!!
You probably have short memories. Even the man admitted he buried him hurriedly against the advice of the community leader

We should prosecute the one that buried him and free not the one present with him in his last 48 hours?
Don't let your kids read this... Ogbon sodiki
Vdm sheepel...he was buried at ungodly hour without the rest of the family in attendance - That’s the suspect

If he's not hiding anything, that won't be firebrigade burial

And did Mohbad die of bullying?
The so-called wife was with him when he died, she should be investigated.

Why will a grown man receive his earnings through his girlfriend's mum account?
Will you tell your brothers to do same?

Wumi should be the prime suspect in this case.
Did he complain about it when he was alive?

He complained about bullying from Naira Marley, that should be addressed.

The one that rush to bury him is the prime suspect

obembet:
When it comes to prayer, what matters most is the sincerity of your heart, not the language you use. God understands every language, even the unspoken groanings of the heart (Romans 8:26).

Praying in local dialect

Feels more personal and natural if it’s your first language. Helps you express deep emotions and cultural expressions that may not translate well into English. Many people connect more spiritually when praying in the language they think and feel in.

Praying in English

Useful when you’re in a mixed group where people may not understand your dialect. Helps in teaching, leading, or uniting people in prayer. Can make your prayer accessible to more listeners.

So my smart Nairalanders, which one is the best

Romance › Re: All Men Cheat. How True Is That Statement? by femi4: 10:50pm On Aug 20, 2025
PastorKosi:
✅ What the Facts Say:
Not all men cheat. Many men are committed, faithful, and value loyalty in their relationships.
Studies show that both men and women cheat, but not all do.
Research from the Institute for Family Studies shows that about 20% of men and 13% of women have admitted to cheating at some point — meaning 80% of men have not.
Cheating depends more on character, values, emotional maturity, and circumstances, not just gender.

🚫 Why the Statement Is Problematic:
It promotes cynicism and distrust in relationships.
It can justify bad behavior, as if it’s normal or expected.
It unfairly condemns good, loyal men.
It may cause women to settle for less or stay in unhealthy relationships out of fear that “all men are the same.”

🧠 What Actually Influences Cheating:
Lack of self-control
Unresolved trauma or insecurity
Poor communication
Opportunity and secrecy
Wrong values or peer pressure

✅ Healthy Approach:
Instead of believing “all men cheat,” it’s better to say:
“Some men cheat, but not all. I choose to value and pursue trust, honesty, and faithfulness.”
If you’ve been hurt before, your feelings are valid. But don’t let the pain define the whole gender — good men still exist
If all men cheat...who are they cheating with? No be women
