What you quoted had nothing to do with preaching the gospel.

In fact, Jesus in the temple and whenever he's addressing the Pharisees was different from what you put there.

We should be careful on how we quote scripture out of context

Naturally ,after God ,,,our parents should be the first Humans we have a duty to honour ,respect and care for. Spending on our parents should be a thing of joy and honor to them which has a great reward and blessings. God even commanded us to Honour parents so that , it will be well with us ...meaning its possible life is not well with some people because they are not honoring their parents. It's become a norm in our societies today seeing pastors, evangelists, and upcoming Xtian brothers and sisters preaching along the roads, in the markets, in parks etc. I have also noticed that less or no individual listens to their preaching because of busy schedules.

My question is; is it really necessary? Does it serve the purpose it's intended?
What's your take on this?

When a farmer go out to sow seed, he doesn't have the crystal ball to determine which seed will germinate best.

Just go out n preach..worry less about impact

I will be very brief with my story.

I am a newly wedded man. Before I got married, I usually take soda (Coke, Fata and big cola) drinks a lot, sometimes I take 2 bottles a day. Back then I assumed that since my work is so stressful, the soda will nor have much effect.
