Kickkick: So I'm trying to take the bold step as a man who has come of age and want to do the needful.
First, I want to create familiarity with my fiancee's family especially the mother and father. I already know the sisters and some cousins.
So what little gift do you suggest I should buy and gift to them via my fiancee, pending when to unveil myself properly?
I'll appreciate your kind suggestions. Wine as usual |

NwaAmaikpe:

The minister of Education needs to do something about our education sector.
It's not fair that studying for a Masters degree overseas will trigger brain complications for students.
How do you explain it that a person graduates with a 1st class or 2.1 in Nigeria, gets admitted for a Master's degree overseas, then slumps and dies either while still studying or shortly after studying.
This brings me back to what Aunty Rapuokwu, my CRK teacher told me after catching me armed with almost half of the new testament hidden in between my armpit for use as "expo" during one of her exams.
She simply said, "you are only weakening your brain energy by cheating".
And she wasn't wrong; my first visit to the psychiatric hospital as a patient was from a supposed 'brain fäg' because I blanked out after being handed my Further Maths question paper and seeing Quadratic equations that looked like Hieroglyphics.
With that said, I hope village people are finally happy...because how do you rationalize someone not dying from the stress, heartache, poverty and hardship in Nigeria but then dying from a mere headache after succesfully integrating in a country of limitless potentials?
However, it is not right for a religious person like myself to sound so superstitious.
What if it is not underused brain energy or village people that are responsible for all these 'slump-and-die' deaths, but prayerful sidekicks wishing to replace them?
Mama Ramota still says that's the only reason she was scared when she found out I was cheating on her with a born-again Christian. Who revive this account |

Mariangeles: Still on yam matter.
If you have some "boring" leftover boiled yam (or you're like me that don't care much for plain boiled yam), and you don't know what to do with them, you can make this delicious stir fried egg-yam I came up with.
Process:
Just cut up the leftover yams in bite sizes (according to your preference) and set aside. Then cut up some onion (about half a medium size) and some fresh peppers in a different plate. Break about 2 eggs (or more depending on the size of your yam) in a separate plate, add a little salt to it and whisk.
Put your pan of the fire (with the heat set at medium ), add about 3tablespoons of oil, swirl the pan to spread the oil evenly, then add the onions and peppers at the same time, and stir continuously. When the flavour/aroma is out, then you add in the cut up yams (spread them across the pan and let them fry a bit), sprinkle in a little salt, stir continuously till they look a bit crispy/golden, then go ahead and add in your whisked eggs over the yam, allow the eggs to set a little (and bind to yams) before stirring until completely done.
Voila! Your stir fried egg-yam is ready to be enjoyed. 🙂 Super easy, super delicious. ✨ Must you have left over? Stop wasting food |

detopea1: Months ago, someone posted on Facebook that he needs a secretary.
I replied him and we moved on to WhatsApp.
I asked him for the salary range. But he dodged the question and ask me to come for interview.
With the way the economy of this country is looking depressing, it is very vital to know the salary before spending your money on expensive transport.
I didn't attend the interview cos that's a red flag.
Imagine after passing the interview and the salary is made known and I am not satisfied with it, then the employer has wasted my time and my transport money. Salaries are stated in the advert in a saner clime but then naija way dey always different |
