Kindly share the details of HOW they promised heaven on earth plus job opportunities but failed to deliver.

Did Canada fail to deliver on their promises as much as Nigerian politicians? How much of your taxes have you recovered from our politicians who failed to do what they promised?

Romance › Re: Most People Are Not Really Looking For Love by femi4: 6:12am On Aug 18
Babatunjo:
They're looking for how love makes them feel. The attention. The affection. The validation. The comfort of knowing somebody wants them.

But love itself asks for something from you too.

Love is finding someone whose needs can sometimes come before your own desires.

Love is staying when they're down and there's nothing exciting about the moment.

Love is giving without calculating what you'll get back.

Sometimes, love is the humiliated self being exalted. Putting your ego down so something bigger than you can survive.

Plenty people want to be loved.

Far fewer are prepared to love.
Just say most women...na then dey catch feelings

Crime › Re: Scammed Of ₦200,000 Through A Friend’s Whatsapp – Please Advise by femi4: 10:06pm On Aug 17
MissOpe:
Good day everyone.

I am currently dealing with a very painful situation, and I need advice from people who have experience with fraud cases and fund recovery in Nigeria.

A close friend contacted me through WhatsApp asking me to help her with some funds. Because I knew the person, I believed it was genuinely her and agreed to help.

She sent me an account number to make the transfer, which I did from my PalmPay account. She later contacted me again and gave me another account number, asking me to send another amount.

At that point, I became suspicious and asked her to confirm that I was actually communicating with her. Instead of confirming, she started giving different excuses and avoiding the question.

That was when I realized that I might have been dealing with someone who had compromised or impersonated my friend's WhatsApp account, and that I had been scammed.

The total amount I lost was ₦200,000.

Immediately after realizing what had happened, I contacted OPay because the money was sent to an OPay account. I requested that the recipient's account be frozen/restricted, but OPay directed me to contact PalmPay since PalmPay was the sending institution.

I reported the matter to PalmPay and PalmPay subsequently informed me that they require a Police Report or Court Order before they can proceed with the case.

I am currently obtaining the Police Report and will upload it as requested.
Please, I need advice from anyone who has experienced something similar:

Has anyone successfully recovered money transferred to an OPay account belonging to a scammer?

After submitting the Police Report, how long does the recovery process normally take?

Is there anything else I should do to increase my chances of recovering the ₦200,000?

Should I also report the matter to the EFCC or the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre?

I have the transaction receipts, WhatsApp conversations, and other evidence relating to the incident.

Please, I would really appreciate practical advice from people who have gone through a similar situation, especially anyone who has successfully recovered their money.

Thank you.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Jason Arday: "I’ve Turned Down Every Single Interview" - Professor Qadira by femi4: 8:25pm On Aug 16
DeepSight:
"The first is obvious. That if this was a white academic, then none of the vilification which he endured would have come his way. To provide evidence of this one only has to look at the recent case of William O’Reilly who is also a Cambridge professor, and was also accused of plagiarism having lifted something like 12 pages of his student’s works into his own, which he then published under his own name (Olsson, 2024). Yet, what is most interesting about the O’Reilly case is not so much that he was exonerated after an investigation. It was the facts that there was no media outcry. There was no investigation by the Right-Wing press into his background, into his history or his family. There were plenty of stones left unturned as this man moved back into his position at Cambridge"

https://www.dwightturnercounselling.co.uk/2026/08/15/black-skins-ivory-tower-the-rage-of-a-black-academic/
So its now a case of if the thief was a white skin man

The better perspective is why must you be a thief

Like I said, if you have no skeleton in your cupboard, you have nothing to fear

If you’re going to play the race card, please play it right. No blemish.

Jason Arday should have never lied. Not even once. Not even a little bit. That would have saved us all black people. Racism already creates a higher burden of scrutiny,

They are already looking for opportunities to discredit us. Looking for a reason to not include us.

GIVE THEM NONE.

Everything we do as black people should be excellent.

My oppressor may have the power to affect my circumstances, but I refuse to give them the satisfaction of seeing me defeated by it.

Honestly, lots are wrong with that boy Davido. So what happened to all the ridiculous allegations he made about FG not allowing free and fair election in Osun state because his uncle has already won the same election he was making accusations about.

Some things required been sensitive, been mature and responsible. Davido threw away his responsibility in the gutter because of this election

Meanwhile, below is a thread which I created saying FG won't interfere with the Osun election

She is a professor. She worked hard for it and she probably has knowledge she would like to share but she knows she is black (Of African origin) and she understands her environment very well. So she decided to avoid EVERY interview.

That is HUMILITY. Humility is not weakness. When you are HUMBLE, you will have common sense that will make you take wise decisions.

Before you japa to work or further your education in a white man's land, drop that your "i beta pass my neighbor" mentality if you want to live in peace overseas.

That mentality may have worked for you very well here in this lawless terrain but it will NEVER work for you in their land.

BE HUMBLE
If you dont have skeleton in your cupboard, you wont be afraid of interview

Ben Carson et al wrote books n granted interviews cos they were REAL
