Good day,

I’m planing towards going for my masters degree this year. Pls how can I get a fully funded scholarship in the US and which exams do I’ve to write?

Also what would be the equivalent of a 3.21/5.0 in a scale of 4.0?

Thank you.

[quote author=Pweedydaughter post=84559777]Have you paid for the application fee, if yes kindly tell me how?

Just follow the steps on that application page, there’s a section where you I’ll be asked to pay the application fee(€76) with your debit card. After payment you proceed to submit your application.

Thanks bunch

Hello PweedyDaughter,

As touching the email attachment from KU Leuven you uploaded. I assume you requested an information about transcript right? Well, the email said it’s suffice(enough) to upload a copy of your transcript in pdf when applying for admission.

I’ll advice that you check the school website or contact the admin via email for genuine information. I know we all are trying to help here, but people have a way of posting misleading informations.

Note: KU Leuven strictly operates online application and its only on exceptional cases they’d request that you send hard copies to them(KU Leuven). Also, you don’t have to legalise your documents when applying for the admission(I’m speaking of KU Leuven). You can go on their website or send an email to them to confirm the information I’ve just given.

Blessings.

Good day,

Pls I still need clarification as touching the visa legalisation of document for visa application. I’m not sure yet, are we really going to submit original certificates for legalisation at the Belgium Embassy? I don’t just feel comfortable with the idea of having 3 different stamps(MOE, MOFA) or whatever it’s on my original certificate. Can you pls explain how you did yours?

Tnx

Dear All,

For those who have gotten admission Congratulations and those who hasn’t, don’t feel bad it’s a process it will come in time.. but always try to contact the school, call them or mail them. But they prefer call, because they will give answers to your questions immediately. Mails take time.

For those applying for visa...
Visa application isn’t so hard.. the right document Certainly results in visa... just be consistent in your response... if you have given A answers before maintain that A as answers all through the processing because two different answers shows inconsistencies and gives doubt on your purpose of travel...

For sponsorship...
Always check the latest requirements before you submission for Visa.. Sometimes they change the requirements during current academic year and it affects students because they only considered requirements for previous year.. I was in that shoe n I was refused.. when you want to submit for visa check again the requirements for sponsorship (latest) (2020/2021). If it’s not there... Please wait for it.

For those who will go for interview...
Give same answers to questions...they have almost same questions but different ways of asking them, so understand the question n give same answer just as the one you gave to previously.

N:B
Don’t promise heaven before coming to Belgium.. things might go differently ... if you have loaned money for all processing, give a year or two pay back plan. Don’t expect immediate earnings.. no be beans...

When you are certain of your arrival.. please start contacting your friends or family in the city where you will school n ask help for accommodation... it is very important... without accommodation you virtually cannot do anything... I MEAN NOTHING.. to get your resident permit... bank....insurance.. YOU NEED ACCOMMODATION.. n no be beans... don’t bother contacting the school for that(NOT IN ALL CASES THOUGH, YOU CAN TRY) but priority is given to scholarship students and Erasmus students first... before consideration to others and it is rare.

Kind regards,

Thanks a lot. Do I have to pay just the living expenses and does it cover for the tuition too? Pls what about having a sponsor in Nigeria that has up to 25m.

It’s not about your sponsor having 25m or 100m in his account but rather the consistent/stable/regular inflow of money into the account.

Okay, well, I guess everyone School has its own specific process and requirements. I was only speaking in reference to KU Leuven application.

@emmy4gold.. I’ll advice that you send at email to the school directly. People on here have a way posting misleading informations. I received an email directly from KU Leuven some days ago saying I don’t have to legalise my documents. I only need to upload a pdf-scan my original diplomas. And they went ahead sharing a link with more detailed information of admission requirements.

I don’t know how it works at Ghent tho, just saying the school is the best guide.
konja44:

No.... No legalisation no admission.. So it must be the original

Thank you bro.

I just want to be sure I’m following the right process. One cannot afford to make any mistake considering the cost of the legalisation at the Embassy and d two Ministries.

Again, anyone with genuine information as touching the admission and visa process should kindly update us. Especially those that have resumed for the 2019/2020 academic session. I know you guys would probably be busy trying to settle down at the moment. Your guidiance will be really appreciated.

Tnx.
Good bless y’all.

Thank you for the response. One concern tho, I’ve read on here that Belgium Embassy doesn’t accept photocopies of credentials but only original. I don’t understand. How does that work? cause you said I should photocopy my original documents and legalise them at MOE and MOFA and Belgium Embassy.

Are you studying at KU Leuven or do you know anyone studying there?
DeeKeem:
Hi

1. For admission to the university, you scan your original documents and upload them as you fill the online application form.

After those scanned documents are processed, the University will ask you to send legalized hard copies to Belgium.

You will make photocopies of your original documents and legalize those photocopies.
To legalize, you will first go to the Ministry of Education, then the Ministry of Foreign affairs and finally the Belgian Embassy.

2. The school will provide a list of the documents they want you to legalize and send to Belgium

This is my understanding of the process, I stand to be corrected

Good day guys,

Pls l need clarification on legalisation/authentication of academic results and other official documents.

1. For admission to KU Leuven, must I legalise my original documents at the Belgium Embassy before uploading my documents on school application system or will the legalisation at Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs suffice to secure admission?

2. Also, aside O’level, transcript and B.sc certificate, what other documents are necessary for authentification at the Belgium Embassy.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Big hugs to everyone that has been making helpful contributions on this forum. More wisdom.

Business / Re: Package Delivery Problems: USPS And NIPOST by Femiadeuyi(m): 3:32pm On Jul 20, 2017
@nykolaax

Well, it seems like we are in the same shoe. From what have read on here and review from other sites. I'd say it's very unlikely that our package will arrive sooner. The bad news is that, it's very possible for your package to arrive here in Nigeria but since the USPS will never update on their website that the package is in Nigeria then it as good as gone. You know our custom people na... Once they see that code(LS***US) they know already that's it's the first class international package and the USPS will never update that it's already in Nigeria. If your package is valuable, I mean a laptop, phone or any gadget, there's every chance one of there staff there has run away with it but if it's a book or something that's not valuable, then you should have received a call by now.
My advice.. Kindly tell your sister to give them a call at the USPS that she wants her package back, trust me she'll get it back and she can then use other reliable shipping method.

Mine is actually an iPhone 7 Red, which I made $175 available for the shipping but the crazy woman bleeped me up by using cheapest means. So annoying.. I can't wait for 35 days bro, that's no guarantee so she will request that the package be sent back to her. Lemme know of your progress.
All the best bro.

Hello Guys,
Pls I need your advice. I've a package I'm expecting from USA. When I track the package it says “Your item departed our USPS facility in JAMAICA NY INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER on July 9, 2017 at 10:31 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination”. It was shipped through USPS First Class International Package.
The crazy thing now is that the tracking isn't updating.!! Can I be rest assured that the package will arrive Nigeria and how long will take before it gets to Nigeria. Would there be any update on the USPS indicating that my item has arrived Nigeria and would there be any update on NIPOST website ??
Kindly awaiting your response. I'd hate to loose this package cause it's too valuable.
Thanks.
