This is the best motivation ever. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm going for my bsc microbiology then Msc med lab.
There's nothing like MSc. Med lab. There's only MSc in one of the specialties. And that doesn't grant you license to practice in the medical laboratory. That 18 months program has been scraped off many years ago. You'll have to go back to school and get BMLS for you to be licensed.

Even without AFCON, he has done well for himself but that AFCON also boosted his chances and also his remarkable performance in the Europa League final,....
He got to Coppa Italia final and may still play in UEFA super cup , that's why I mentioned him as a strong contender in my post , the other two , I termed them as potential nominees.
Alright sir

Ademola Lookman is a strong contender others are Ayoub Elkaabi of Olympiacis and Morocco, he has scored over 30 goals this season.
He is the highest goal scorer in the Greek league
He is also the highest goal scorer in Europa Conference League.
He is in the final in Athens, Greece vs Florentina

Aubameyang is the highest goal scorer in Europa League the competition Ademola Lookman won, Aubameyang is also a potential nominee.

This is an AFCON year and AFCON performance has always been a strong determinant in CAF awards. Lookman got to the final. Also, he was one of Nigeria's best player in the tournament alongside Ekong and Nwabali. He was one of the highest goal scorers with 3 goals and 1 assist. He also made the official CAF AFCON 2024 best eleven.
Also, asides the hat trick in the final, he has been consistent throughout the season. He has scored 20 goals in all competitions and 10 assists despite being out for two months due to AFCON and injuries. That's a decent stat for a winger. He was also instrumental in helping his club getting to the final. He scored a goal and assist against Aubameyang's Marseille in the semi final second leg.
Aside that AFCON performance, I wouldn't have rated him as a strong contender. It's a pity we couldn't win it.
Again, Aubameyang is out of it cos he's trophiless this season and Gabon didn't qualify for AFCON.

That Stuttgart striker has done enough.
Just that he is not playing in a big club and not from a big African nation.

So does boniface
Lookman has an edge over Boniface because of AFCON. Alongside Ekong and Nwabali, he was our best player in that tournament and we got to the final.

Politics / Re: Anomaly: Tinubu Breaks Law, Appoints Physician To Head Medical Scientists Board. by femianski: 1:30pm On Mar 06
Sctests:

What is the common sense in choosing a chairman of the board to lead a professional group that he is not a member of? Even when the law is against it?

If we go to Papua New Guinea and get someone to come preside over Nigeria, even against the constitution, will you proclaim it as common sense?

Why do you encourage lawlessness, even in the face of glaring facts?
Sir, don't get him wrong. I am also a medical lab scientist btw. He said, putting the law aside, it still doesn't make sense for a doctor to preside over the MLS council cos they are different professions.

Oh boy, did not watch one single match life. I only watch after I know d results. Watching Afcon live if you are above 55 years na like death sentence. Even d last match that we lost I did not bother watching it even after knowing d result what is the point. Had it been they won, I would have watched it.

Thank God d competition is over.
You are not alone sir. I too who has health issues and couldn't watch a single Nigerian match can relate. I'm happy it's over grin grin

he has conceded the least of goals so far with just 2 while Ron Williams 3, hoping he doesn't concede tomorrow, he should win the golden gloves
I don't think the golden glove in tournament football is determined by clean sheets. Other factors are also considered e.g save percent, number of goals conceded and team achievement. The golden glove winner has mostly been the tournament winning goalkeeper or sometimes the runner up.
Nwabali making it to the final has already made him have an edge over Williams.

One of Keshi's best games is that 4-4 draw against Morocco (not sure) during CHAN. That was the match Ejuke Uzoenyi used to grab a WC shirt. What an emotional game. I think we came back from 3 goals down or so.
It wasn't a 4:4 draw. We won 4:3 in extra time

Politics / Re: Nuhu Ribadu Visits The Headquarters Of SSS and NIA. by femianski: 11:51pm On Jul 05, 2023
222Martins:
For those Who don't know, NIA (National Intelligence Agency is the Nigerian version of the US CIA, UK's MI6, Russia SVR, Israel's Mossad and Pakistani ISI. The NIA was responsible for covertly bringing Nnamdi Kanu back to Nigeria. They can smuggle Simon Ekpa back to Nigeria in a diplomatic crate like they did to Umaru Dikko, if they get the greenlight from the president. The NIA, like their foreign counterpart cannot operate within their respective countries unless accompanied by an internal security agency.

DSS or SSS (DSS is just their pen name for dealing with the public). SSS is the Nigeria version of US Homeland Security and Secret Service Combined, UK's MI5, Russian FSB and Israeli ShinBet. Their jurisdiction is mainly with the borders of their country.

I saw a post on NL where people were saying the position of NSA given to Nuhu Ribadu is bigger than the Service Chiefs. No!! The service chiefs comprising of CDS, COAS, CNS and CAS are under and report to the Minister of Defence (MOD); unless they are summoned directly by the president. The MOD can also provide tactical assault teams to the NIA if requested for. If not for the way Nigeria is, the MOD, Service Chiefs / Military have no business operating within Nigeria/Domestic Affairs or mounting roadblocks.

Even in the USA, any soldier you see responding to crisis or terrorist attack inside USA is drawn from Homeland Security under the Department of Homeland security, not the regular Military under the Department of Defense.
Thanks for the orientation. I learnt a lot
