TV/MoviesRe: Movies That Made You Cry by Feministic(f): 9:35pm On Aug 23, 2008
Only movie that's ever wrung tears from me was The English Patient. I bawled. Well all right, when DiCaprio's delish face sank into the sea all those years ago I almost cried right there. But it was nothing like The English Patient. Beautiful, savage love.(Sigh)
Damn straight! , Me to! hahahaha!

CultureRe: Homosexualism In Nigeria by Feministic(f): 5:07pm On Aug 23, 2008
@ luca

No one said that gay people were the majority.

Ever.

The point that most people are trying to make is that there are gay people in Africa,
and they won't admit that they are because of the current laws and prejudice held against them.
How do we really know the real numbers, if no one is willing to admit it?
It's like being the holocaust and asking people "are you a jew?"

As for homosexual not being present until after the arrival of european colonialists.
It was actually the reverse.
Homosexuality in africa was present, while not in comparison to that of the greek,
and was actually snubbed out and suppressed by said settlers not just with religion and such
but with the lack of any major intrusive study done on africans at that time.
So while we do know that it was present, we still don't know the whole story.

Sometimes I think that African's are really unaware of how much they lost with colonialism. undecided

FamilyRe: Your Child Says, "Daddy, Mommy, I'm Gay!" by Feministic(f): 4:02am On Aug 23, 2008
@ post

I would want them to know that as a child they were not confined to one title.
hetero or gay, they should allow themselves to love, grow and blossom.

@ lucabrasi

and don't you forget that white Christians used the same divide and conquer tactics,
to pit people of african descent (and pretty much any other group willing to fall for it) against each other.

CultureRe: Homosexualism In Nigeria by Feministic(f): 7:40pm On Aug 22, 2008
Gay people are not saying that everyone wants to live their life style,
they are saying that many people that do want to live such a lifestyle do it in secret
or can't at all for fear of prejudice.

TV/MoviesRe: Dark Knight, What Do U Think Abt The Movie? by Feministic(f): 7:21pm On Aug 22, 2008

I enjoyed it above all of the other Batman movies so far, it replicated the depth of the characters (much like the original comics).
CultureRe: Homosexualism In Nigeria by Feministic(f): 3:22pm On Aug 22, 2008
99.5 percent of nigerian men say that they are hetero, you mean.

Maybe if people stopped scaring them with useless laws, violence and prejudice; we could get some real numbers.
RomanceRe: What! In Love With A Cripple From Nairaland by Feministic(f): 11:33pm On Aug 21, 2008
@ post

I am guessing you mean:

A cripple is a person or animal with a disability, particularly one who is unable to walk because of an injury or illness.

In that case, who cares? huh

FamilyRe: Man Discovers On Wedding Night That Wife Is No Virgin by Feministic(f): 10:59pm On Aug 21, 2008
@ post?

is it really that serious?! huh shocked
I mean, a family meeting over that?

are you sure she is not a virgin?
some women lose their hymens before they have sex,
some have wider vagina's than others, or were masterbater's.

and even if she is not, so what? huh
I would mainly be concerned at why she felt she had to lie to you,
probably because she thought that like most men, you would place
her "value" in her virginity, and didn't want to lose you.
FamilyRe: Can You Marry A Former Prostitute? by Feministic(f): 10:54pm On Aug 21, 2008
@ post.

If I wanted to marry such a person, I would do it, I'm not sure why her past would be know to your family unless they were told.
If even if they were told, it is none of their concern, its your life and only you will reap the benefits or suffer the consequences of your actions.
