My Governor, Soludo will always show himself. Political campaign didn't start today. Imagine 36 states imposing this same fees. Nonsense! Anyways, I am sure court will nullify this if approached. |
Peter Obi will be stupid to, once again, allow this mole get into his close circle for 2027 election. |
NORTH LONDON FOREVER. Come On You Gunners! Arsenal 4 life!!! |
Good write-up. China is guilty as the West in preferring Nigeria to remain importer/consumer nation that producer/exporter nation. |
Portable is right. There is a reason why we have weight categories in boxing. Flyweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, Cruiserweight, and heavyweight. |

OAFMods:Tinubu is a DEMOCRAT who fought in NADECO against the military and so why won't we have free and fair under him? Abi he no be democrat again. ![]() |
Yayi has made so much money being in the Senate for 16 years or even more. If he doesn't do something beautiful and wonderful starting from his infrastructurally-deficient senatorial zone to other zones, then he should be branded a failure. |
Ok. Wonderful. Now, can we have a free and fair election? |

Psquare matter is an illustration of a problem, which manipulation could cause on a weak-minded person. Look, any elder would easily see that Peter is emotionally inflammable. Persons with this kind of trait are easily manipulated by crafty or assertive people they trust. Many people didn't notice but the day Peter Obi went to Mr. P to reconcile him with his brothers, a third person sat on the seat while the meeting went on. The person was planted by a manipulator who lives with him. That manipulator is his wife. Don Flexx is just taking undue advantage of the manipulation to put food on the table.

In fairness, I don't know anymore. |
Lithiumite:So far, no representative election has taken place. It has been only election by CONSENSUS. Consensus by few! |
The fact that primaries by delegates was removed from the Electoral Bill as one of the options for primaries is another undemocratic shenanigans that this administration has done to devalue our democracy for some strange reasons. Now, the option of primaries by CONSENSUS (by so called party elders) is being abused, removing democratic competitiveness and unfairly shutting down political aspirations. |
They are damn too scared of Peter Obi. He makes them lose sleep. It is amazing! Look VP Shettima, you have only one vote. Give your vote to whoever you want but allow Nigerians decide on Peter Obi political aspiration. |
Tolu multi-school complex is massive and undoubtedly impressive. Excellent! Looks like the main stadium in the Maracana stadium complex has no provision for spectators seating. Poor vision! Up Ajegunle! |
dapadawee:I don't know how old you are but David Mark the politician is the best Senate President so far among those who have occupied that post. He saved this democracy with the DOCTRINE OF NECESSITY during late ex- President Yar'adua period of terminal ailment. Respect. Atiku was was vice president to Obasanjo. He literally led Nigeria while Obasanjo was globetrotting pursuing the debt forgiveness campaign, which by the way, he achieved. It was the influence he garnered during that period thatbmade him a political threat and eventually an enemy to Obasanjo. He is better than Tinubu in governance. Peter Obi was an excellent governor who focused on the then collapsed road networks in Anambra. He invested massively and successfully in laying foundation for quality education, which gains we are still reaping today. He upgraded and built health infrastructure. He selflessly has no legacy projects but he served us well in Anambra State. Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola was the lynchpin of the intelligentsia (commissioners and aides) that made Tinubu looked like a good governor in Lagos State. He is a workaholic who did his best in Osun State. They represent a better alternative to APC/Tinubu government. |
dapadawee:Well, if somebody who has formed and ran political parties is failing at leadership, may be leading a party is not a requisite for effective national leadership. We need to look in another direction. |
dapadawee:I can't go with Tinubu because he has no clear vision and road map for Nigeria. |
The legal processes aside, the root of this problem is a deputy chairman who was part of negotiation for former ADC leadership to step down for an interim leadership has all of a sudden changed like chameleon. Who conspired to motivate the former deputy chairman to make an unnecessary U-turn. It is people who are scared of strong opposition party. The fact is that if former President Jonathan's government was scared like the current government, it would have instigated inside confusion in then fledgling APC through legal processes. But he didn't and former President Buhari had given Jonathan credit for this on several occasions. Nigerian stability is bigger than the ambition of an individual. Meanwhile, I expect ADC to start releasing minutes of build up meetings to the stepping down of former EXCO. They should source all vital videos and pictures that show the former deputy chairman as being part of that process. |
City Boys don start work. Laughable because Nigerians are not fools. Look, it seems that Peter Obi was right in not funding the formal organization of Obedient movement. Imagine putting people in leadership positions and funding them into political relevance and empowering with clout to negotiate with opposing political camps. Imagine the damage to Peter Obi image if Tinubu camp uses bags of money to lure these 'leaders' from Obedient movement, flatten it in one fell swoop. |
Good! |
It is better for him even if he loses the primaries than to continue take unnecessary punches on behalf of a president who promised improved power generation if elected but who currently doesn't seem ready to that. |
What's the essence of Nigeria CCTVs that don't help police catch the armed robbers. |
This was purely playing to gallery by Pantami. This was a mockery of reconciliation. It was an abuse of solemn moments of burial and mourning. It showed lack of emotional intelligence. El rufai is bitter about what he considers betrayal from Uba Sani. He trusted Uba Sani like a son. He was one of his confidante. Therefore, it will take more than a casual graveyard handshake for him for forgive. Forgiveness is not a flimsy thing. It takes willpower and deep inner pain for an offended to TRULY forgive especially when betrayal is involved. Besides, if Uba Sani considered what he did as betrayal, he wouldn't have waited for El rufai's mother to die in order to reach out to him. But of course, it is obvious, he sees what he did to El rufai as taking his opportunity or perhaps as simply act out-politicking another politician. |
LabStores:Calm down. Lagos APC is in Tinubu's pocket and if he remains the president in 2031, they will certainly accept Seyi's candidacy as a parting gift. |
LabStores:Between Gbaja and Hamzat, who is gentlemanly enough to do only one term and hand over to Seyi Tinubu? |
Youth leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos West Senatorial District have supported the growing agitation for the emergence of a governor from Badagry Division in the next electoral cycle, declaring: “It is Badagry or nothing.” The group, under the aegis of Lagos West APC Youth, made its position known yesterday during a news conference addressed by its convener, Prince Seyon Akran. The youth said their stance aligned with the earlier position of traditional rulers in the division, describing the demand as a matter of equity, justice and inclusion. Addressing reporters, Akran said the call for zoning APC governorship ticket to Badagry—popularly described as “Badagry Lokan”—represented a historic turning point for the division, which he noted had never produced a governor since the creation of Lagos State in 1967. “This is not an accusation. It is a fact,” he said. “As stakeholders in Lagos State, we affirm that our demand is legitimate, just and fair—devoid of offence to God and man. The youth group stressed that Badagry had remained a loyal and consistent supporter of the progressive movement and APC, contributing to electoral victory and governance support over the years. “From elections to governance support, Badagry has consistently stood with the progressive family. We have shown loyalty. We have delivered. We have remained committed,” Akran said. The youth also highlighted the need to ensure young people in the division were not excluded from political opportunities, warning that continued marginalisation could hinder development and representation. “We speak as leaders of tomorrow. The system must not be at the disadvantage of Badagry youths. We deserve inclusion, opportunity and representation,” the group said, adding that the division is in need of infrastructure development and economic advancement. Rejecting claims that Badagry lacks the capacity to produce a capable governor, the youths argue that the division is home to competent, experienced individuals, who can lead Lagos effectively. “Badagry is blessed with men and women of character, integrity, education and exposure. Badagry is not lacking. Badagry is ready,” Akran said. They further underscored Badagry’s strategic importance to Lagos State’s future, describing it as a gateway to West Africa with immense tourism potential, vast agricultural resources and opportunities for regional trade and economic expansion. The group singled out Mr Samuel Mawuyon Ajose (SMA), a chieftain of APC from Badagry, as a potential candidate, citing his track record of service, grassroots mobilisation and investment in party structures. According to the youth, Ajose has contributed to strengthening APC across Lagos State, including providing logistical support for elections in all 57 local government areas, mobilising support for progressive leadership and promoting Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “These are not theoretical credentials. These are real actions under real conditions,” Akran said. “At a time when the question is not just who should lead, but who is prepared to lead, SMA stands out.” The group maintained that Badagry possessed capable indigenes and did not need to look beyond its borders for leadership. Reaffirming their loyalty to APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the youth described their demand not as divisive, but as a call for fairness and inclusion within the party. “This is not a division. This is justice. Badagry has waited. Badagry has contributed. Badagry has delivered. Badagry is ready,” the statement said. The news conference adds to the growing momentum within political circles in Lagos over zoning arrangements ahead of the next governorship election, with stakeholders calling for a shift in power to underrepresented areas of the state. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/lagos-west-apc-youths-back-badagry-governorship-bid/amp/ |
Traditional rulers from Badagry Division have formally called for the zoning of the Lagos State governorship to the area in the 2027 election, citing historical contributions, political loyalty and what they described as decades of exclusion from the state’s top leadership. The demand was made at a news conference yesterday addressed by royal fathers and community leaders from the division, led by Dr Olalekan James, the Akweno of Kweme Kingdom, Badagry. Addressing reporters, the monarchs framed their request as a matter of fairness, equity and inclusion rather than agitation, stressing that Badagry remains the only one of Lagos State’s five traditional divisions yet to produce a governor since the state’s creation in 1967. “Badagry Division remains the only one among the five divisions in Lagos State yet to produce a governor. All other divisions—Epe, Ikorodu, Ikeja, and Lagos Island—have had the opportunity,” the royal fathers said. They described the gathering as “a moment of political reflection” and a necessary intervention to end what they termed a “culture of unprofitable silence” over the political marginalisation of the division The monarchs highlighted Badagry’s historic role as a gateway for commerce, diplomacy, and cultural exchange long before the emergence of modern Lagos, noting that the town connected Nigeria to Europe and the wider West African sub-region. They added that the division still occupies a strategic position as Nigeria’s corridor to the Republic of Benin and the ECOWAS region, with significant economic potential tied to infrastructure such as the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. “Our heritage is rich. Our contributions are undeniable. And our relevance remains critical to the future of Lagos State,” the statement read. The traditional rulers also underscored Badagry’s longstanding support for progressive politics, noting that from the Alliance for Democracy (AD) through the Action Congress (AC) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the division has consistently delivered strong electoral returns. According to them, Badagry has maintained an average of 90 per cent support for the progressive bloc and ranked among the top-performing divisions in the 2023 general election. “Badagry has always stood with the progressive movement. Badagry has always delivered,” they said. A prominent businessman and political figure from the ancient town, Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, has been chosen as Badagry’s consensus candidate for the APC governorship ticket. They said Ajose have made contributions to the APC by supporting party structures, electoral logistics, grassroots mobilisation and advocacy efforts across Lagos and the Southwest. The monarchs used the occasion to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his democratic credentials and leadership, praising his role in the pro-democracy struggle and recent policy initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda. They cited reforms such as the student loan scheme, the removal of fuel subsidies, revenue growth, and infrastructure development as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to fairness and institutional progress. Against this backdrop, they appealed directly to the President, the APC leadership, and other stakeholders to consider zoning the 2027 governorship to Badagry. “We respectfully but firmly call for positive consideration for Badagry Federation… to uphold equity and fair play, and to give due and favourable consideration to the zoning of the governorship of Lagos State to Badagry Division come 2027,” they said. Central to their message was the slogan “Badagry Lokan” (It is Badagry’s turn), which they described as a call for justice, inclusion, and balance in the state’s political arrangement. They said zoning the ticket to Badagry is a way of rewarding the town’s contributions to the country’s development. “This is not a division. This is inclusion. This is not sentiment. This is justice,” the monarchs declared They concluded by urging political leaders to heed their appeal, warning that history would judge decisions made ahead of the 2027 election. “Badagry has waited. Badagry has contributed. Badagry has persevered and sacrificed. Badagry is ready,” they said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/badagry-monarchs-demand-zoning-of-lagos-2027-governorship-to-division/amp/ |
Obafemi Hamzat will make an excellent governor as he is cebrebral and broad-minded but it is time for someone from Badagry to step in. #Badagry lokan |
The fact is that it is not the court's business if a detainee is given any kind of humane concessions on ground of health or age, to bury a dead relative, sit for an important scheduled exam, etc by the detaining authority as far as the detainee is provided in court as and when the court needs him. So, releasing El rufai to bury his mother doesn't mean he is discharged and acquitted. |
