Thats true. It might be the cause. It's Mi A3. Happened twice today. I did the process you mentioned. Thats how it stopped.

If it was caused by the update, a patch will be sent soon to prevent it.

Please how do I clear this as its occupying much space
Those are files such as Zip files, OBB files or any other file extension that is not recognised as an app, document or media file. You should check your WhatsApp database folder. Local backups tend to take a lot of space. You can also use the Cleaner function of the security app and scan for large files and delete them.

You can also check and delete all the items in the trashbin and the thumbnail files in the cache folder using your file manager. The folder paths are in the SS' below

That's not how you use portrait mode. It's lacking the 'portrait' factor.

Genius43 what may be the reason why my Google Assistant keeps launching on its own at various intervals for no reason? How can I fix that please?

Is it a bug from the MIUI12.0.3? I did an update sometime last month. Device is RN8Pro

Google assistant bugs are from Google assistant not MiUI. It's the voice prompt going haywire sometimes. I've had this issue across several devices. Sometimes a sneeze will trigger Assistant. The only way to avoid it completely is to disable the voice match function.

Launch the Google app>Settings>Google assistant>Assistant>Devices (select phone)

Side note, if you use the voice command a lot, I'd recommend doing any pending Google app updates on the Play Store and retraining voice model.

Ok.

I have updated the security app, restarted the phone and the stats still remain the same.

Do the system update then. You can also force restart to clear the battery stats and then charge up.

Which device are you using? Did it come with the latest MIUI 12 Or you updated it?

The MiUI 12 SS I posted is from a K30 5G (not mine). I'm currently using the 9s on MiUI 11. I've done 5 MiUI updates since I got this device. Rest assured, If MiUI 12 pops up in the next 10mins, I'll download it as well.

I am scared of updates especially that of the MIUI. I will try the system apps update.

This my issue with you right now. How do you know the problems you're having haven't been solved if you don't update? Just how?

I implore you to please do both updates.

Have you done all pending updates? System update as well as system apps update?
The battery stats are connected to the Security app. If you have an update for that, I'd suggest you do it

Tap Instagram and send the usage stats since you haven't used it today. Also, turn off battery saver. It's doing nothing for you right now.

I don't think it has anything to do with older devices. Screen is the Number one power consumer in all android devices and android system should never get close to it.

I am suspecting it is one of the numerous bugs in MIUI 12. ....I have discovered a lot of inconsistencies in their computational stats. Same can be found in their memory management system.

This same MiUI 12?

What device are you using BTW?

Why does my android system consume so much power?

At the end of the day, it ends up consuming the same or more power than the screen which is very unusual.

Check out the CPU Total, it is almost equal to the screen ON time.

Compare the statistics with my Samsung below.

I posted the reason some.pages back. Maybe use the search feature and you'll know why.

Lol. I have been doing updates from Infinix to Xiaomi for years, no issues. Because it has happened doesn't mean it always happens. There'll probably be an update to fix the issue soon.

You may not know the difference but as a user of both phones, I'm telling you there's huge difference in the typing.

Maybe if you hold both phones, you will be able to tell.

Are both devices of the same screen size and aspect ratio?

For example, I moved from a 5.5"(Smart 2 Pro) device to 6.67" (Note 9s) obviously it took a little while for me to get adjusted to the new screen size. You've not used the device for a week at least for your fingers to adjust to it. That's why you're having this issue tbh.

You could always use swipe input or reduce the keyboard size...like in the ss below.

Man I've used 512mb, 1gb, 2gb, and 3gb ram phones. None of the 2gb ram phones I used gave me these issues.
While typing this, the phone froze twice.

Drop the about section of your device and your installed apps. You could have an app heavy on background process installed. It's a 2GB RAM devices. Multitasking will be limited

Redmi 9A is shit. Even my Coolpad performed better.

What are the Twelve apps? I hope those don't include FB (not lite), Twitter (not lite), Instagram and Snapchat whilst keeping 40 tabs open in chrome?

It's a basic/ entry level device. It's best as a secondary phone or for first time smartphone owners. If you wanted to enjoy the "hype that proceeded the Redmi", why didn't you get the hyped devices and not the bare bones version?

It's like buying the iPhone SE to enjoy the iPhone 11 Pro experience. No way that's possible my good sir.

#peace

P.S For the sake of comparison, what was the Coolpad you were using and how much did you purchase the 9a?

Which kind of question is this?
A litre in a bottle is obviously more. How can you even compare cup to bottle cool

1 liter is 1 litre, irrespective of the container.

I think what he was trying to say was that the download will be 2GB whether or not he uses the updater or the direct download method.

Your phone's stock camera. It's the very first option in the app settings.

If for some reason you don't need know where to find the settings option in your stock camera, check pictures 3 and 4

I did update about 2 weeks ago and when I updated, the battery became king. I don't want to do another update because I'm enjoying this one and don't know what is in stock the this new update.

In the update page it usually state "What's new". It'll most likely be a security update for your device and nothing major.
