Thanks.. please I have been trying to permanently delete contacts on my phone(REDMI note 9s) but after every time I delete a contact,it reappears again cry.... please what should I do?

They're synced to your Google account.

I think you should try deleting the contacts with your internet connection on and then heading into Google account settings and disabling contacts sync.

Not yet. The MiUI 12 has been rolled out to those in India and Turkey. With any luck we should start recieving the update by the end of next week.

I dread updates right from the days of Nokia. I had a nasty experience sometime in 2013 when I decided to update my Nokia OS, I eventually sold the phone.

I don't bother about updates as long as my phone is still performing well. If i want an update, I will buy another phone.

Wow! Never seen a post so wrong on all counts.

The version installed from the Factory is never the best. Updates exist to improve the experience on your device and add more features to improve your usage. Sometimes the feature may have an impact on battery life, but doesn't mean it's a bad update. Take the OnePlus Nord that recieved 4 updates in the first week of release, if you were to own that device, you'd complain about the experience not knowing the issues you're having have already been fixed.

This mentality is really old and terrible. If you have updates to do, do them. Buying a new phone for updates is a mentality that's remnant of the Transsion era.

"Bricking is irreversible"? Sir, this is 2020. Please leave 2013 where it exists, in the past, and move on. I'm pretty sure those whose devices came with MiUI 9 are enjoying the MIUI 11 on their devices without having to spend any extras on another device.

I'm yet to find 50% of persons whose battery immediately went bad due to an update. Please drop proper statistics before pulling figures out of thin air.

TL;DR, Update your devices when you can. 2020 is not 2013.

You could switch to huawei phone like p40 smiley. HMS doesn't have the same problem is what I've heard.
This is assuming it is really really really driving you nuts.

Otherwise, no need to check battery consumption incessantly. If you get enough power to last the day, Google can do whatever it likes in the background

Truly it could be a Google thing. Most especially Play Services. Some forums opine that it's coming from Play Services not being as it should be.

Android usage shows up when your phone is compiling apps for necessary optimizations while idle. Heavy/Background process also causes that. The issue occurs across different OEMs and Android based ROMs.

When you notice it high like that, plug it in to charge.

Depending on how complex it is there might be a slight or noticeable battery and ram usage. Use it for a while and then check battery stats to see how much usage battery your launcher is using.

hmmmm... When would MIUI 12 be released for this device?

So she should keep waiting for an update? I'm not happy with Xiaomi. These little bugs are really appalling angry

There's no OS without a few bugs. First batch of Note 9s users had a battery bug that was fixed with an update. Reflash the ROM, wait for an update or sell the phone.

Looks good. Hopefully the bug will be fixed in the MiUI 12 update. The last time a few people had the earpiece issue was before 11.0.9.

This is for Turkey. It was made available today. Global and EU still waiting. It'll be out probably 2nd week of October because of the Chinese holidays.

Forget all this u rubbish u r saying, you are using note 5 n we r using note 8,i m sure during d early days of note 5 u r getting updates as frequently as necessary, note 8 is relatively new hence we deserve the necessary attention you got during ur time, so stop comparing note 8 to note 5,we no b mate
I'm using Redmi Note 9s, we haven't received the MiUI 12 update yet we don't complain. We no be mate too.
Is it even by price sef? Redmi Note 9s and Note 9 Pro were about 100-120k and they haven't seen the MiUI 12 update and you're here claiming seniority.

There's a delay in getting the update, you still receive security updates which means the device development hasn't been abandoned. Be patient and wait. After you recieve the MiUI 12, how long will it take you to either get bored or find a new thing to complain about?

Like Genius43 rightly pointed out, there's probably something about the SD665 making the transition from Android 9-10 a hassle. If you have complains you can contact Xiaomi Nigeria on Twitter or Facebook. No one here is an agent neither do they work for the Mi Community.

I recommend taking anger management classes. Whatever is making you bitter will be fine someday. Quite frankly, you have issues.

Sorry to derail a little. But does anybody get these messages from airtel?. Will anything happen if I don't upgrade to 4g cos it's my main aim and I don't use it to browse. I have another Airtel 4g sim I use for that. Cos I've been getting these messages since late August this year.

Well, contact customer care to find out if it's urgent. If not, ask them to enable DND on your number.

If you have any pending Android 10 update, do it. The recording function is part of the Google dialer that comes with you phone. You can update it on the Play Store.

On the screen guard fiasco, I'd rather not have one. Anything that has the propensity to take away that responsiveness from the display is not for me. I've had phones who's display shattered with a glass protection and those that didn't without. I guess for some people is just like an extra guarantee but a lot more use it for the perceived "extra protection".

Yo good day guys, my redmi note 8 has been having proximity sensor issues after updating to 11.0.9,
I don't know if there's any fix, and when will mui 12 or Android 10 come out for note 8?

For the RN8 MiUI 12 and A10 are tipped to come as one. The when is what's uncertain. It has been in Beta testing for months now and no stable build yet. With any luck it should be out by the end of the month or next month.
